A Heart's Home Book Review

I have another sequel in the Journey of the Heart series called A Heart's Home. While it is a 6 novella type series and I only got to read 3 of them, it still made perfect sense, so even if you don't get the complete series, it will still make sense to you. Anything written by Colleen Coble is to be treasured and I hope that you will want to read these novella's.
Emmie’s hope for a life with Isaac is overshadowed by a tragic loss at Fort Phil Kearny.
Isaac Liddle is keen to marry Emmie, and she knows she shouldn’t hide her pregnancy from him any longer. But before she can tell him her secret, a widower friend asks the impossible of Emmie: Will she honor her promise to his dead wife by marrying him to care for the orphaned baby?
With the Sioux Wars threatening outside the fort, Emmie’s solemn vow threatens her happiness from within. Will she honor a promise sure to break her heart—and Isaac’s? Or is there another way to find a home for her heart?
Purchase your copy on Amazon  (also on this link is the other 5 books if you want to get all 6 at the same time).
My Thoughts:
Well, as you know, I have absolutely fallen in love with just about anything that Colleen Coble has written, but this story, told in 6 short novella's, called Journey of the Heart, has definitely been one of my favorites.
These books were written the way they were so that if a person can only read so much in these hectic times, you will be able to read them in no time and then read the next one the same way. If you are like me, the huge books that I sometimes get can be daunting and I worry that I won't get them read in time, but of course, I am a marathon reader, so I can, but not everyone can do that. I don't have children at home anymore, which makes it easier, but for a mother with small children, I think these novella's would appeal to you.
They are great in quantity and quality so they aren't boring but rather full of context and easy to understand and you will immediately identify with the heroine in each book and be rooting for her while others plot to bring her down. You won't lose the concept of the story because the next book picks up almost immediately where the last one left off.
And, even if you don't read or have to skip one of the novella's, you will still be able to figure out what happened and pick up right away. I did not get to read some of the books, and I still felt like I knew everything about Emmie and her flaws and her assets. This is one series you really don't want to miss!
Happy Reading!

Sad to say that I have not read any of Collen's books. But thanks to Mary's Cup Of Tea, I have been introduced to Collen and her work. Thanks for that and this giveaway. Misty/

I'm pretty sure I've read A Heart's Disguise, but I'm 100% positive. They're all named similar and I don't have it in the house anymore to look. (I think my mother has it!)
