I have to admit that I absolutely loved every single one of these books! And to make my day even better was the fact that sometime last year, I reviewed the fourth book, The Balborite Curse, so now all I need to finish the series is Book 5 and 6!! I can hardly wait to see what happens with the Dragon's and if they are able to have babies!!
If you love reading YA Fantasy books or books that have witches and magic, then you are going to fall in love with this series of books. The first 3 books have been compiled into one big book, which I love, because it's only one book that I have to keep up with instead of 3 separate ones plus the 4th one I somehow managed to review last year without even reading the first 3 and it still made sense.
But, I did dig it up and read it again so when I get the last 2 books, I am up to speed on what has happened in the last 4 books. I absolutely love reading about Dragon's and their mystical Dragon Riders (which is what they are called in the books). Each rider has some magic and can do spells while a few of them can really be powerful, which makes the less magical riders a little testy.
You have a little bit of everything in this series, romance, magic, betrayal, dragons, witches, elves, dwarves, tree sprites and an odd assortment of very bad creatures who do most of the dirty work. It's not overly violent and there are definitely not many romantic scenes, so young adults and teens can read this series.
I can't wait to get the last 2 books!!!
