Faucet Face Bottles Review

I recently had the great fortune to get to try out some of these really beautiful bottles that can serve as pretty much whatever you want them to be. I used them myself to make my protein shakes for my diet that I am trying really hard to follow. Of course, I slip sometimes, but for the most part, I am keeping up with it and it sure does help to have these beautiful bottles to make drinking those chocolate and vanilla shakes at least look better! They are from Faucet Face and I am sure by now you have heard quite a bit about them!
Main Features:
  • BPA Free Cap
  • Everything Tastes Better in Glass
  • Reusable, so you save money!
  • Glass doesn't leach any chemicals into our water or other drinks
  • Helps promote using tap water
I decided to use some of their pictures because I know it's hard to see mine with my not go good camera, so here is what the one in blue looks like and what it says on the bottle.
And then the green one is really cute because it's all about the hose, which is on the other side and then it spells out hose water.
I guess I never thought about it much, but after reading several articles how it's much better if your plastic products don't have that BPA stuff in it, I got really anxious and decided to start checking everything I own that is plastic!
And I am happy to report that while I did find some that didn't meet the requirement, I had more BPA free products than I had thought that I would. So, my subconscious mind must have been protecting me after all!
I used my red bird one for the chocolate diet shake and while I wasn't all that crazy about the taste (just kidding, it really wasn't that bad) I really did enjoy drinking out of my newfound glass bottles.
Did you know that each person spends about $344 on average for bottled water? I hadn't really thought of it, but I bet I have spent more than that. We have well water way up here in the mountains, and while that my not sound too bad, I have always wondered what in the heck is in that water? I do everything else with it but drink it. So, we do have stacks of bottled water but I am now checking to make sure they say BPA free and when possible, Mike uses the glass bottles to take his water with him to work.
About Faucet Face:
For over a decade, bottled water companies have spent millions of dollars to try and persuade us that their product is better than tap water. They served up ads with pristine mountain scapes, snow-fed rivers, and we drank it up.

All the while the implication was that tap water was inferior. Heck, sometimes they just came out and said as much.

What has been tap's response? Unfortunately it has never had a marketing budget to help it stand up for itself. Until recently most of tap's defenders have put forth somewhat crude campaigns made by local utility companies and non-profits. While their intentions are good, their work pales in comparison to the sophisticated marketing tactics of private bottlers.

We want to bring back tap water's dignity. It just needs a little makeover to help change people's minds and Faucet Face is here to lead the charge.
Oh, and by the way, the people at Faucet Face are very serious about helping others get good drinking water so here is how they help out:
We believe everyone deserves clean water. That's why Faucet Face donates to the clean drinking water charity Third Millennium Awakening (TMA) 5% of sales of hose water, tap is terrific and hummingbird feeder glass water bottles, PLUS, a complete filter for each sale of 5 or more individual bottles.

With Faucet Face's contribution, TMA develops and installs BioSand water filters for impoverished villagers of the Thane District of India; these filters provide a safe water source for households and help to prevent water-borne disease.

What will you use your Faucet Face glasses for? I am also drinking Iced Sweet Tea out of mine and I am going to be making some awesome fruit smoothies to help out with my diet here next week, so it will be interesting to see what I can come up with.

If I did have children in school, these would be awesome to make their favorite juices the night before so that all you have to do in the rush of the morning, is hand one to each child and they can be drinking either their milk or juices while you are making breakfast. Every little bit helps! The caps stay on secure so you won't have to worry about them spilling and then just pop them in the dishwasher to be used again that night!

Yikes, I'm drinking from a plastic bottle right now. The problem is that I don't trust my water at home! I have been thinking seriously about switching everything to glass in my kitchen. These are really cool. I just heard about them maybe a few weeks ago and now I'm seeing them everywhere!
