Falafel Chips Review

I recently got to try some very awesome new chips that I didn't know about called Falafel Chips and they are actually very tasty and I have to admit between my husband and my brother, they ate the Spicy Chips up in about one night while watching the Braves play baseball! They ate the chips with a very hot salsa and I was amazed at how they could do that. If I even eat one spicy chip, I get a tummy ache, so I stay away from anything spicy, but they loved them!

We were sent the Spicy, Original and Sprouted Multigrain Chips to try out. My favorite of course, was the Original but I did enjoy the Sprouted Multigrain also.

What I liked the most about the chips was that you could eat 11 of them (and they are actually a good size, not some wimpy size either) for only 118 calories and it had 4 grams of fiber and 4 grams of protein, which is what my diet on Nutrisystem is all about so these were approved as a mid afternoon snack because I stayed within the guidelines!

They have no cholesterol and only 1 gram of sugar, so you will really love being able to eat something healthy for you but it also tastes good at the same time. They go very good with Hummus Dip and that is another one of my very favorites, so I have been having a ball enjoying good food but still being within my diet guidelines. They are made with made with a mix of 21 herbs, spices, vegetables, and legumes.
What you will not find in the Falafel Chips:
NO: gluten, wheat, dairy, lactose, trans fat, cholesterol, MSG, GMO, hydrogenated oil, preservatives, artificial colors, artificial flavors, nuts, soy, or shellfish.
These chips are the newest addition to their line but they taste just as great as the Original but in a different way. They have brown flax seeds in them as you can see from the picture below. Which truly makes it a great multigrain snack that is full of fiber. There is 3 grams of fiber and 3 grams of protein, so I am still well within my guidelines as long as I stay with the serving size of 8 chips. But, again, these are not wimpy chips, they are a good size so you should feel full after eating the serving size that they recommend.

These are Sprouted Multigrain chips that have been made with an authentic East Mediterranean blend of spices, vegetables, and herbs, including powerful omega-3 from brown flax seeds. They are made with garbanzo, fava, and black beans along with micronutrients from sprouted grains including brown rice, buckwheat, and brown flax.
These Spicy Chips are basically like the Original except they have the added kick of being very spicy!

I left this picture in a large frame so you could see all the spices on each chip and they really are very spicy so if I were you, I would test one before biting off more than you can handle. I have a weak stomach so I let the boys have this bag and stayed clear of it. But they both reported back that they were awesome and just the right thing to go with salsa and their hot wings! What a combination, but what can you say, it's men!
You can find a wealth of recipes on their site to use these chips either with a dip or in the dish. Check it out and see what new creation you can make to impress your friends and family at the next gathering!
About Flamous Brands:
Inspired by the flavors and spices from the East Mediterranean, Flamous Brands was formed from the idea to create the world's first and best tasting falafel chip. Falafel, which is a traditional vegetable-based patty made with chickpeas, is known throughout the world for its distinctive flavors and is usually served with hummus or yogurt.

Flamous Brands was co-founded by Jesse, a chef and restaurateur, Claude, a naturopathic doctor, and Sam, an entrepreneur and an engineer. The team was on a quest to create an un-paralleled chip. After spending many hours in R&D starting at Jesse's restaurant's kitchen, they ultimately developed and created the world's first falafel chip, by blending together a secret recipe of twenty-one herbs, vegetables, spices, and legumes.

Today Flamous (a merging of the words falafel and hummus) is a nationally recognized company and leader within the organic snacks and chips categories. If you are looking for a healthy, 100% organic, and gluten free chip, you can find Flamous products in hundreds of stores nationwide and internationally in such countries as Canada, Australia, and the Emirates.

I think I would like the multii-grain variety, I'm a fan of all sorts of grains. Definitely want to give these a try. Thank you.

These sound great. I love that they have GMO free options. My family is all about non-GMO foods and I am so thankful that some snack foods are starting to take GM ingredients out of their products.

I don't believe I have tried these before. I did an internship in NYC years ago and had my first real falafel. I had no idea what they were previous to that! I'd love to try the chips!
