Just Destiny Book Review

I have a really good book about soul searching and figuring out what to do with your life called Just Destiny written by Theresa Rizzo.
What would you do if your whole world fell apart? Jenny Harrison made some poor choices in the past, but marrying Gabe was the best thing she'd ever done. They had the perfect marriage, until a tragic accident leaves Gabe brain dead and her world in ruins. Devastated by grief, she decides to preserve the best of their love by conceiving his child, but Gabe's family is adamantly opposed, even willing to chance exposing long-held family secrets to stop her.
Caught in a web of twisted motives and contentious legal issues, Jenny turns to best friend and attorney, Steve Grant. Steve wants to help Jenny, but he has reservations and secrets of his own. When something so private and simple turns public and complicated, will Jenny relent? What is Steve willing to sacrifice to help Jenny?
I don't know what I would have done in Jenny's place as far as one part of a transplant that she wanted done for herself and no one else. It was kind of morbid and I don't know why she would have wanted to do that since she would have had to handle this all alone.

Her husband's uncle had kept secrets from Gabe and Jenny that would have helped them all get the help that they needed and might have prolonged his life. Especially since he had 2 children from a previous marriage since this was hereditary.

In the end, Jenny does realize her request is not good for her or her new relationship she has started with her next door neighbor.

Once you read the book, I would be interested to know what you think of her request. It was a bit unusual and really would have been hard on her, so I really didn't understand it at all myself.

It's a good book that will have you thinking about things and what you might do in her place. It might even help you if you are ever caught in this same situation. You will be glad you read this one!

Happy Reading!|

Hi Mary, Thanks for the nice review. Yeah, I'm thinking I probably wouldn't have made the same choice Jenny did, but I can see the temptation . . . But do you think it is a private matter or do other people have the right to stop her from having her dead husband's baby? I waffled back and forth on that one. I'm just not sure it's anybody else's business. You?
