It's that time of year again, Cinco de Mayo and have you thought about what you might make to celebrate? Normally, we go out to eat, because it's one of the few times we really get to celebrate, but this time I decided to try and make a meal at home with the products that I got from Old El Paso and some of their recipes that I got off of their site.
We got quite a bit to work with and I actually already had a pack of the Stand and Stuff soft flour Tortilla's but couldn't decide what to do with them but when this package came, I finally had some idea's of what to do and what to serve with it.
I just did a veggie like boat dish for myself because meat sometimes upsets my stomach, so I just used my Refried Beans, tomatoes, guacamole, sour cream, cheese, and then for my husband I added these fillers to his.
They come in several flavors, depending on what you like, but he loves steak so I got that for him and with these you can also use them in the wrap tortilla's also. I used both types of refried beans, the regular kind and the black refried beans and made some Mexican Rice and it made the perfect meal!
I had this beautiful set of party plates, napkins, cups, plastic silverware, a tablecloth and even fake moustaches to use for our little home party and I got so wound up in making the meal, I forgot to serve it on these plates, so I will be saving them for the next time we have Old El Paso night!
Along with products that you can research on Old El Paso, you can also get some really great recipes if you need some new inspirations on how to fix some really awesome dishes for your family. So, stop on by there and check out what all they have to offer, whether it's for quick and easy meals to something a little more complicated, you won't be sorry!
You can get frozen entree's along with products that will be on your grocery store shelves and between all of the choices, I am sure you will find the ones that fit your taste. I liked the ones I chose because there are only two of us and these were quick and easy and we didn't waste any food. It was just enough for the two of us!
You can also check out Old El Paso on Facebook for more information also.
