All My Belongings Book Review

I have a really good book to share with all of you called All My Belongings written by Cynthia Ruchti.
A new life and a new identity can’t protect Becca from a past that refuses to go away.
After spending years running from the shame her father put on her family, Jayne is determined not to let him steal her future in the same way he stole her childhood.
Changing her name to Becca Morrow, she moves to California and settles into a new life and new job caring for ailing mother of handsome young businessman, Isaac Hughes.
But just as she’s wondering if she and Isaac are headed for a relationship, Becca’s patient passes away under unusual circumstances. Suddenly, her past catches up with her and the unnerving details of her heritage threaten to destroy all sense of home and all hope for love.
Even if she could clear her name, a phone call wraps a suffocating shroud around her heart. Her estranged father needs her help. But can Becca open her new life to the man who ruined her past?
This is a really good who done it kind of mystery and how people can jump to the wrong conclusions so quickly before knowing all of the facts. Sometimes, it appears someone is guilty of something when they are not, but we are so blinded by certain things, that we refuse to see the real answers.

Life is complicated and some get handed an even more complicated life than others. It would be nice if we could all run away and change our names and hide from our past but it has a way of showing up regardless of what we do, so I think it's best to face it head on and get it over with.

This is a great story and a lot happens to Jayne/Becca and if she is strong enough, she will survive it and let go of the hurt from the past. The past can strangle you if you let it. It's always been our worst enemy and if you can manage to make amends with it, in the long run you will come out better off than you were before.

Happy Reading!
