MCT Energy Bars Review

Disclosure: I got this product as part of an advertorial.

I have a new kind of energy bar I wanted to share with you called MCT Bar that will change the way you look and/or think about energy bars in the future.
Main Features:
  • The LipiX© MCT Bar is a delicious meal replacement formula comprising Medium Chain Triglycerides (MCT), Protein, Fiber and Omega-3 DHA to support brain health.
  • First ever food with high Medium Chain Triglycerides (7g of MCTs per bar), a type of saturated fat found in human breast milk, coconut oil and palm oils and are known to generate Ketone bodies, a source of energy, used by brain cells.
  • A high & balanced source of whey protein (16g per bar) to increase satiety and muscle mass
  • Vegetarian docosahexaenoic acid (0.4g DHA Oil per bar) an essential fatty acid most abundant in the brain and eyes.
  • A good source of fiber (13 g per bar).
  • Has 9 organic ingredients
  • No added sugar

  • Okay, just so you know, this is not a low calorie snack bar, this is for energy alone. I didn't want anyone to get confused with the two, even though it's healthy in other ways, but it still has 230 calories for each bar. But, what it does have is 13 grams of fiber and 16 grams of protein along with 7 grams of MCT (medium chain triglycerides) and vegetarian omega. The bar is unique because the concept is a low sugar, high fat and high protein food based on a vast amount of research that shows excess carbohydrate consumption in our diet is central to many of chronic health issues.

I can see where this might be really good for people with bad cholesterol or high trigs, like me. I am going to have to quote the meaning of MCT because I have read it several times and I think I grasp what they mean, but to be on the safe side, I will use their words, in case I don't have it right. I think this means that we can introduce good trigs in our body and not the bad ones like I have that are not good and can cause a lot of heart and artery problems.

    Description of MCT:
Medium Chain Triglycerides (MCT)  are saturated fats found in human breast milk, coconut oil and palm oils. MCTs are very safe and energy rich fatty acids that are easily metabolized. It has been used as a dietary oil for over one hundred years.
MCTs possess a unique biochemical quality in that they are not absorbed or transported like Long Chain fatty acids in the human diet. MCTs are from 6-12 carbons in length. The most common fatty acid (palmitic acid) in the human diet is 16 carbons in length.
MCTs passively diffuse into the GI tract while Long Chain fatty acids and other fat-soluble nutrients require carrier enzymes. In the cell, MCTs passively diffuse into energy production cycles from fats by a process known as beta-oxidation.
I won't lie to you and say it tastes wonderful, but if you have a need for it, you can get pass the taste. It almost tastes exactly like what they are saying it does, if one can imagine what breast milk tastes like this long after being a baby. That was the first main taste that I got off of the bar and then there was a slight coconut taste also. I also have to tell you that it's very, very oily when you open the packet. I had oil all over my hands trying to get the bar out of the package. And I think this picture gives you a pretty good idea because all that shine is not from the camera or lights, that is in fact the oils.
There are two flavors, vanilla and chocolate and I got the vanilla flavor. I might have liked the chocolate a little better, but can't quite know for sure since it really will be hard to not taste the breast like milk and coconut and all that oil.
    They actually recommend:
Recommended serving: Two bars per day to supplement additional protein and medium chain triglycerides.
  • Store and serve at cool temperature
  • Do not microwave

  • Note: When first adding medium chain triglycerides to a diet, some consumers may experience mild gastric distress. If you have a sensitive system you may choose to take only a small amount per day (half serving or 30-35 grams), gradually increasing over seven to ten days to a regular serving size. If only consuming a partial amount of an opened bar, please refrigerate the unused portion.
Consuming more than three (3) bars per day is not recommended.
Okay, I did not read this until after I had tried about 2 bites, so it's a good thing I decided to wait until my doctor appointment this coming Friday to take with me. And I am going to quote all of the warning because I would hate to recommend something and then something happen to someone. If you don't have any health issues, I think this product would be great for those looking for energy or need some part of the nutrition in their diet. Please read all of the warnings!

    Product Suggestions:

Because the LipiX© MCT Bar is such a delicious way to consume MCT, you may be tempted to exceed our suggested servings. If you choose to consume more, please increase your use slowly over a few days and do so depending on how your body responds. Overconsumption of LipiX© MCT Bard may lead to gastrointestinal side effects in some individuals, such as bloating, nausea and diarrhea. If this should occur, please lower your consumption or stop use for a few days and restart slowly. As always, if your symptoms of distress are serious, or last more than a short while, please consult your physician immediately.

    Product Warnings:

If you have diabetes; a history of dietary fat intolerance; irritable bowel syndrome; a history of gout or high levels of uric acid; or a history of gallstones or gallbladder disease, please obtain explicit approval from your physician prior to consumption. Discontinue use and consult your physician if any adverse reactions occur. Not to be used during pregnancy or while nursing. Not recommended for children under the age of 18.

Now, because I have IBS with constipation, I am going to either give these away to my friend who loves eating this type of product or if my doctor says it's okay because I could use some of the benefits due to my high cholesterol, then I might eat a half one or a whole one but definitely not two in a day! I am not sure why it's not good for the gallbladder but because mine is already been taken out, I am not sure what that means. Like I said, I will be taking all of this with me on Friday, so I will wait and see what he says.

You can buy these energy bars on Amazon.

Emile Noel Artisan Sweet Almond Oil Review

Disclosure: I got this product as part of an advertorial.

I was very excited to try out this new kind of oil from Emile Noel Artisan Oils because it just sounded so exotic and so good! I got the Sweet Almond Oil to try and I have barely begun to scratch the surface of all the things that I might be able to use this oil in or with.
    Description of Sweet Almond Oil:
Emile Noel’s Organic Sweet Almond Oil is a lightly fragrant oil with a delicate flavor.  This pale-gold oil is cold-extracted from sweet almonds using an artisan process (no solvents or chemicals) to preserve the natural flavors, delicate aroma and nutritional benefits of almonds. Rich in fatty acids, Emile Noel’s Sweet Almond Oil has a light nutty flavor that goes well with savory and sweet dishes.
From what I gather about unrefined Sweet Almond Oil, which is the kind that I got, is that you should not use it to fry or sauté or any kind of cooking with high heat because it destroys the flavor and breaks down the oils. They suggest you use this oil for salads and as a finishing touch to meat, vegetable and pasta dishes. Almond oil makes a wonderful salad dressing when combined with flavorful vinegars such as balsamic, apple cider and red wine vinegars. It can also be drizzled over hummus, dips, and cooked vegetables such as brussel sprouts, green beans and spinach to bring out subtle hints of flavors.
I also found out that it does have some good health benefits also. Since it's an organic virgin oil, it really does have some really good qualities that I am going to have to really explore. Since I am not a gourmet cook, these kind of oils are something I will have to experiment with since I normally don't have these in my house.
Almond oil boosts memory and strengthens the nervous system. It’s rich in potassium, folic acid, and proteins which helps enhance blood circulation, prevents heart ailments and regulates cholesterol levels.  With a high content of vitamin D, almond oil helps keep the immune system healthy. Cold pressed and unrefined almond oil is a great source of omega-3 fatty acids and monounsaturated fats, which makes it ideal as a substitute for olive oil.
Wow! And here I thought Olive Oil was what I needed to add to everything trying to get my cholesterol levels down! Since I do have autoimmune health issues, I wonder if this oil would really help me now since I have already been compromised or if it only works to prevent things from going wrong with the immune system. I guess I will be studying this subject for quite awhile!
They have other nut flavors in their organic nut oils and I would love to try those also some time. Emile Noel organic nut oils are unrefined and virgin oils. In the artisanal production method, cleaned, healthy nuts are first cold pressed in a traditional press, without solvents or chemicals. The oil is then filtered several times through blotting paper, and then stored in a dark, cool place.

They have quite a selection of organic virgin nut oils, including fair trade hazelnut oil, organic walnut oil, organic macadamia nut oil, and organic sweet almond oil. And that doesn't even include the Seed Oils and the Olive Oils!

    About Emile Noel Artisan Oils:
Huilerie Emile Noël selects 20 varieties of oil seeds and oleaginous fruits, pressed mostly at our mill in Pont Saint-Esprit or by partner millers who, like us, make virgin, first cold pressed oil.
Olive oil is the king of the range, featured in an array of taste profiles and terroirs as well as in new-release, filtered and flavoured versions. In line with our commitment to dietary balance and variety, the Huilerie also produces classics (rapeseed/canola, sunflower, sesame, soya…), special favourites (almond, walnut, grapeseed, camelina…), rarities (flax, hemp, pumpkin seed…) and treasures (argan, sweet almond, avocado, evening primrose…).
Other stars in our range are our healthy and tasty blends of two to five oils, combining their respective fatty acids that are essential for our body. And Emile Noël also makes a range of special cooking oils (for frying, stir-frys, and sauces).
It was very hard for me to pick something to say about the company because I found so much history and information while I was on their site reading about them and how they started back in 1920 with their organic oils. It's really a nice story and I hope you will go and read the rest as I don't have room for all of it. It sounds like a really wonderful place to be and live, which is in France. They all seemed so carefree and happy, it made me want to crawl through the computer and be there!

You will have to use their Store Locator to find the nearest Whole Foods near you or another natural food store, since that looks like that is where they are mostly sold here in the United States. There isn't one here in Georgia that I know of, so I guess I will be getting mine through the internet somehow when I use this bottle up. You will also find Recipes on their site to help you with putting some of the right oils with the right foods.

And yes, they are considered NON GMO and have other status's also such as Fair Trade and USDA Organic.

Garcinia Cambogia Advanced/Slender Cleanse Advanced Bundle! Review

Disclosure: I got this product as part of an advertorial.

I have two products to introduce you to today that might help you in your fight to lose a few pounds like in my case or more than a few as long as you follow the directions to the letter. They are the Garcinia Cambogia Advanced and the Slender Cleanse Advanced products that you use together to get the most out of the bundle in your fight to lose some weight.

I didn't have a lot of weight to lose but the little I did have, did make an impact on my health and so I decided I needed a little bit of help. I have RA and Fibromyalgia so my energy levels are really low and I know I don't exercise like I used to so the little bit of weight crept up on me before I knew it. Like I said, it's not a big amount but any amount that puts more pressure on your joints when they are already hurting is a big deal, especially since I have already had to replace both of my knee's, so it was that important, to me anyway.

    Main Features:
  • High Potency Garcinia Cambogia Advanced working synergistically with Gentle Slender Cleanse Advanced. Together they will Deliver Safe, Effective, Convenient and All Natural Fat Burning Weight Loss!!!
  • As seen on TV Doctor's "Miracle Fat Burner in a Bottle" full strength Garicina Cambogia Advanced and the Perfect Gentle Colon Cleanse of Slender Cleanse Advanced for your perfect Slimming 1-2 punch!

  • 100% Natural Veggie Caps with a Full 60% HCA-Absolutely NO Fillers, NO Binders, NO Artificial Ingredients, gluten free, Made in the USA in a FDA Certified and GMP Approved State of the Art Facility!

  • This is very important! Please take them as described on the bottles and don't take more than it says. I am always jittery about giving out advice on any kind of supplements because I know that a lot of you are on medications just like me and I would hate for them to have some kind of negative affect on you, so please ask your doctor first if it is okay for you to use these.

Team Innovations Labs Garcinia Cambogia has zero fillers, zero binder and zero artificial ingredients. You will get 100% pure Garcinia Cambogia Extract with 60% HCA Calcium and 66mg of Potassium Gluconate that is scientifically formulated to quickly allow you to reduce belly fat, suppress appetite, suppress cravings, block fat production, increase metabolism, enhance serotonin levels and much more.

Team Innovations Labs Garcinia Cambogia as a dietary supplement, take 2 veggie capsules, 30 minutes before eating, 3 times a day. Do not exceed 6 capsules per day, which is 3,000mg. To avoid late night snacking, please take 2 or 3 capsules after dinner. For Dr. Oz followers, his recommendation is to take 500 mg to 1000 mg before each meal, and make sure to take no more than 3000 mg total per day.

I did vary from this slightly because as I said, I take a lot of medicines, so I only took 1 veggie cap before eating the first week just to make sure I wasn't going to have any problems. Then I started slowly adding the rest back in. I only took 2 pills at night to keep from eating. I have enough problems with sleeping so I didn't want anything to make me stay awake and I was still okay with not eating. But, you might be different, so you will have to experiment a little to see what your dose should be.

Now, I am also cutting back on carbs and sugars so I am doing other things to help lose the amount that I have set up as my goal, so I don't know your circumstances and what you are trying to do, but I wanted to make sure that I was doing absolutely everything in my power to help me, so I decided to add the diet in the mix just to make sure I reach my goal.

I am not in any real big hurry, because I have learned over the years, losing it too fast can cause just as many problems such as putting it back on once you go off the diet, so I am just trying to eat healthier and change what I have been eating along with the aid of these two products. You guys might get faster results than me if you use these to the fullest directions but because I do have health issues, I am being a little more careful and going at my own pace and losing 2 to 5 pounds a week.

Remember, with Fibromyalgia and I also have Hypothyroidism, my metabolism is probably a lot slower and sluggish than yours. I get tired easily and take a lot of quick naps, so again, you might get better results because you are more active. I also had to be very careful with the next product, the cleanse, because I have IBS, so I did not take them like it says at first either. I wanted to make sure I didn't get myself in a pickle with that problem! So, with this one, I took one every other day until I felt safe enough to take them every day.

This product might also be good for you if you have these problems separate from wanting to lose weight:

Weight Gain *Acne *Sluggishness *Mood Swings & Irritability* Gas & Bloating* Sleeping Problems* Constipation???

My IBS is with Constipation and along with that comes the bloating but also severe pain. I am not talking little pain, I am talking major pain, as in when it first appeared in 2003 and since, I was hospitalized and had IV pain meds to help me until we could calm each episode down. So, I am very cautious about things concerning my colon. I will say even with this product, I still had to take my prescription strength medicine to go to the bathroom. But, my case is very extreme and you will probably not have that problem.

Even my GI doctor said I am one of his few "special" patients because it is so hard for us to go. It's nice to know I am not alone, but at the same time, I wish I wasn't "special".  My case of IBS is in the very severe stage and most people don't get no where near that, so that is why it's hard to find products that really work 100% for me. So, it's not this product's fault at all, it's just the way it is. I gave this to a friend of mine who was just a tiny bit sluggish and she went quite a lot of times, so I know it works, just not so much for people like me.

In closing, I am satisfied because I am losing the weight in a safe and slow manner and more importantly, I don't feel hungry all the time, so for me that is a huge deal. And that is really half of the battle, getting to the point where you don't think about food all the time or feel like you need to eat more than you really do.

My best advice is to experiment with what you got and try these supplements and see if they work for you and go from there. Until you try, you will never know if they will work or not. If you are really serious about losing some extra weight, then it's worth the effort because in the end, you will feel better along with looking better and if you are like me, I am not hurting as much in my joints as much as I did before I embarked on this journey to give my joints a break.

    The Gondola Maker Book Review

I have a different kind of book that I ventured out into reading just to change things up a bit called The Gondola Maker written by Laura Morelli.
When Luca Vianello, the heir to a renowned gondola-making enterprise, experiences an unexpected tragedy in the boatyard, he believes that his destiny lies elsewhere. Soon he finds himself drawn to restore an antique gondola with the dream of taking a girl for a ride. Lovers of historical fiction will appreciate the authentic details of gondola craftsmanship, along with an intimate first-person narrative set against the richly textured backdrop of 16th-century Venice.
    Awards for The Gondola Maker:
2014 IPPY Award for Best Adult Fiction E-book
Finalist for the Eric Hoffer Award & the da Vinci Eye Prize
    Praise for The Gondola Maker:
"I'm a big fan of Venice, so I appreciate Laura Morelli's special knowledge of the city, the period, and the process of gondola-making. An especially compelling story."
--Frances Mayes, author, Under the Tuscan Sun

"Laura Morelli has done her research, or perhaps she was an Italian carpenter in another life. One can literally smell and feel the grain of finely turned wood in her hands."
--Pamela Sheldon Johns, author, Italian Food Artisans

Sixteenth-century Venice is the star of Morelli's well-crafted historical novel about Luca Vianello, the eldest son of the city's most renowned gondola builder. ----Publisher's Weekly Starred Review

The heir to a gondola empire rejects his birthright but comes full circle in this fascinating glimpse into late-Renaissance Venice by art-historian-turned-novelist Morelli (Made in Italy). ----Kirkus Indie Book of the Month

The Gondola Maker is historical fiction at its best. ----Midwest Book Review
    My Review:
This book was like going back in history because the references were so vivid, I almost felt like I was there. It definitely was a different time and in some ways not. Women were treated differently just like they are today but not in the same ways. They still had pre-arranged marriages that required dowries and were to marry men that would bring prestige to their parents.
This story is about one such woman who meets a man named Luca who left his father's business because he did not think he wanted to be a gondola maker. He wanted to try something else and he and his father had a terrible falling out because of it.
This story is the journey that Luca makes in trying to figure out what he really wants to do as far as professionally and how he feels about a certain girl.
There are some true parts in the story, especially about the gondola makers as the author tried to stay as true to what and how they made them as she could. It's a story rich in history and customs and lovers finding ways to be together. And of course, as all stories go, there are troubles and misunderstandings, which is typical in any life, any century. It's the only thing that stays constant no matter which era you live in.
    Happy Reading!
    About the Author:
The first time I visited Venice as a wide-eyed teenager, I knew I was supposed to buy Murano glass, but I had no idea why. All I knew was that I was whisked to the famous "glass island" on an overcrowded, stinky boat. I waited behind two dozen American and Japanese tourists to pay an exorbitant price for a little glass fish--what a bewildering experience!

Still, it was the artistic traditions of the world that lured me to travel and inspired me to pursue the history of art. Living in Europe and Latin America, I realized that in many places, centuries-old artistic traditions are still living traditions. So began my quest to discover craftspeople passing on a special kind of knowledge to the next generation.

Laura Morelli holds a Ph.D. in art history from Yale University, where she was a Bass Writing Fellow and Mellon Doctoral Fellow. She authored a column for National Geographic Traveler called "The Genuine Article" and contributes pieces about authentic travel to national magazines and newspapers. Laura has been featured on CNN Radio, Travel Today with Peter Greenberg, The Frommers Travel Show, and in USA TODAY, Departures, House & Garden Magazine, Traditional Home, the Denver Post, Miami Herald, The Chicago Tribune, and other media. Recently her art history lesson, "What's the difference between art and craft?" was produced and distributed by TED-Ed.

Laura has taught college-level art history at Trinity College in Rome, as well as at Northeastern University, Merrimack College, St. Joseph College, and the College of Coastal Georgia. Laura has lived in five countries, including four years in Italy and four years in France.

Laura Morelli is the author of the guidebook series that includes Made in Italy, Made in France, and Made in the Southwest, all published by Rizzoli / Universe. The Gondola Maker, a historical coming-of-age story about the heir to a gondola boatyard in 16th-century Venice, is her first work of fiction.

Laughter, Tears and Braids Book Review

I have a really good book to share with you today called Laugher, Tears and Braids written by Bruce Ham about what happened to his family when his wife got cancer and how they survived after she died.

Within six months, an aggressive cancer killed Lisa Ham, a Raleigh, North Carolina mom at the young age of 39. Her husband, Bruce, was left scrambling to pick up the pieces of their life, while maneuvering the world with  a broken heart.
The responsibilities of being a single father to his three active daughters were overwhelming.

Bruce wrestled with his faith and questioned his ability to parent competently without Lisa by his side. But slowly, his wife’s tough spirit inspired Bruce to shape his new normal and to find inner peace and laughter again.

Along his personal journey, he became his girls' confidante, while mastering hair dryers, shopping trips, tights and braids.
It's always said when someone so young has to die from this terrible thing called cancer. Lisa Ham had it really bad. It started in her colon, then ovaries, back and then finally her brain. I know how it all works because my father died of lung cancer and we were told 6 months also but he lasted only 6 weeks.

So, in some ways, I am not sure which way is better. Some days I am glad he didn't suffer longer but then other days, I wish I had more time to prepare and say the things I wanted to say. It happened so suddenly and no one knew it was coming so I was all alone with him when he passed and I must say I freaked out big time! I thought I had done something wrong and had not paid enough attention but the truth is, cancer isn't what killed him, it was the morphine and his heart just had had too much of it.

    So, which way is better?

Only each person or each family can answer that question. Bruce did the best that he could and all the while he was silently freaking out too because he had three daughters to raise without his wife with him. I can only imagine the sheer terror that must have evoked, but we all find the inner strength that we did not know we had to put one step in front of the other and slowly the days turn into weeks, then months, then years and one day you look back and can't believe it's been 5 years or 10 years since someone has passed.

This is a good story about a good family and how they handled their personal battle with cancer and death. It may help someone else in the future or right now who needs a little bit of guidance or understanding. Each person or case is different, but in the end, grief is grief and learning to cope is what we can all teach each other.

It's a good book to have around if you need it or know of someone who does.
    About the Author:
Born in Fayetteville, North Carolina, and the son of a preacher, Bruce Ham lives in Raleigh with his three girls and hamster. Graduating from North Carolina State University didn't stop him from pursuing his late wife Lisa, who attended the archrival, University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill. He is a consummate father, the Chief Development Officer at the YMCA of the Triangle Area, and he has a serious addiction to bow ties.
You can catch him on his blog at this address:
I will be giving my hard copy book to one of you so that you can either have it for yourself or for someone else who might need to read about it. Open in the U.S. only. Good Luck Everyone!

Crave Naturals Glide Thru Detangling Brush Review

Disclosure: I got this product as part of an advertorial.

I have a new kind of brush I want to share with you guys today that I really didn't believe the hype when I first heard it but after using the brush, I am now a convert! I don't know how Crave Naturals figured out a way to make a brush that actually detangles your hair without using any kinds of sprays or oils but they did!
    Main Features:
    - Can be used on wet or dry hair - Great for the beach
    - Use on wigs or extensions without causing damage
    - Pain free and tear free so little ones do not get upset
    - No more breakage and pulling that you old brush used to do
    - Has a handle and can be used while blow drying your hair
This Glide Thru Detangling Brush is unbelievable! I have had to use so many products in the past to be able to comb thru my wavy hair and this brush actually did the same thing without me putting anything in my hair and I did it on dry hair, not wet hair! I love pink so I got it in this color but they also have white and black if you prefer that color and you can either buy it on their site or on Amazon.

It has a different kind of shape than a normal brush as you can see from the above and below picture. It made it easier to hold the brush and the brush seemed to just glide through my hair and I hardly had to tug on it at all and this was after my hair had been in a pony tail for a few days! That is when I usually get the biggest knots and tangles, especially after sleeping with my hair up. I can't stand to sleep with my hair down anymore, not sure if it's hormones or menopause, but it makes me very hot at night and I wake up sweating, so now I keep it up.
Other brushes have beads at the end that can dig into your scalp and cause pain, but the Glide Thru brush has smooth, rounded tips that massage the scalp and increase circulation, which may help increase hair growth. It also smoothes the cuticle layer, making your hair shine! I have never seen my hair behave so good before. It used to make me really work at getting those tangles out, especially the ones underneath your longer hair in the back of the head.
Other brushes worked against my hair, basically pulling out the knotted hair instead of detangling it! But the unique cone shaped plastic bristles work to separate the hair sideways instead of down, gently unraveling even the toughest tangles. Also, be aware of the imposters! Ever since the Glide Thru Detangling Brush came out, other companies have tried to copy it! But, you will notice the difference right away because the Glide Thru Detangling Brush has firm, quality bristles that will not lose their shape.

What can you say about George Washington that everyone else already knows?  This book just re-confirms what we already knew, that George followed his inner voice and went with what he knew was in his heart because he knew the truth would be there.
He always stayed the course with his leadership, honesty and perseverance. He still remains the most respected President in the history of the United States.
    About the Author:
Austin Washington is the great-nephew of George Washington. He earned his masters and did post-graduate research focusing on colonial American history, and is a writer, musician, entrepreneur and global traveler. He returns to an old Virginia family home whenever he can. Austin’s first book takes a common criticism of his academic writing – “You’re not writing a newspaper editorial, you know!” – and turns it into a virtue, taking a subject dry and dusty in other’s hands and giving it life.
He has lived abroad much of his life, most recently in Russia, and visits friends from Sicily to Turkey to Bangladesh and beyond. His earliest influences as a writer were Saki, Salinger, and St. Exupery, although in more recent years he has got beyond the S’s. As for historians, he is partial to the iconoclast Gibbon, who wrote history to change the future.
His latest book is the nonfiction/history book, The Education of George Washington.

CLICK Espresso Caramel Protein Drink Review & Giveaway**Closed**

Disclosure: I got this product as part of an advertorial.

I recently got a CLICK Espresso in the Caramel flavor package to try out and I wanted to share with all of you what I learned and how I how much I liked the flavor. First, you need to know that this is actually a coffee drink that is also a protein drink to give you some extra energy during the day. Especially if you are working out, you definitely will need some type of energy to get you through that workout!
    Each Serving Provides:

    •Double Shot of Espresso Coffee
    •15 Grams of Lasting Protein
    •23 Vitamins & Minerals
    •Low in Calorie
•Flavors: Mocha, Vanilla Latte, Caramel and Decaf
You also need to know that this product is Gluten Free, has no artificial flavors or colors. I know some people look for those things so I wanted to tell you that up front so you don't have to go searching. You can make these protein drinks either hot or cold and in any size that you want. Just adjust the water and powder to account for whatever you are trying to make.
The Caramel flavor is actually not bad at all. I am on a diet so I did not do the full serving that they recommended on the directions because I am trying to stick to what my diet is for so what I did was just 8 ounces of water instead of the 12 or 14 ounces that it recommends and then you add 2 scoops (it's provided inside the canister) of the protein powder.
Then all you do is put it all inside the shaker cup that they provide and shake for 25 to 30 seconds to make sure it gets blended really good. The reason I didn't do the full amount is that I am suppose to eat certain foods in between my meals and I didn't want to stray too far from those, but I sure did like the energy part!
The small round thing that you see inside the lid is the shaker blender thing that helps make sure that the protein powder gets fully absorbed into the water making your drink taste better instead of getting just powder, which I don't think would taste so good by itself!
They also have other flavors as well, such as Mocha, Vanilla Latte and Decaf Mocha for those that don't need the extra energy. Because I have Fibromyalgia and RA, believe you me, I need all the help I can get in that department. I have caught myself falling asleep over my computer many a time and wake up and see all these strange symbols all over my posts and have to start over! It's funny now but it wasn't at the time, especially if I was just about done.
As you can see, they sent me a packet of each of the other three flavors to try also and I have to admit that I like the Mocha the best.

The Caramel is next and then the Vanilla Latte.

The Decaf Mocha is just as good as the regular Mocha, just not as much coffee.

Whichever flavor you choose, you won't go wrong, it's just a personal preference as to what you like the best and which one will help you stay on whatever plan it is that you are trying to accomplish.

Oh, I almost forgot to tell you that you can even make these frozen if that helps you stick to a plan better. Just add some ice cubes to the blender and make it frappe style just like at your favorite coffee shop if that is what you like the best. I used to love those frozen ones but as I developed stomach issues, I have noticed that really cold drinks like that tend to make my IBS worse for some odd reason. Maybe it just doesn't like to be surprised or the cold causes some kind of reaction?
As your everyday, energy and nutrition drink, CLICK is perfect for:
    • All-in-one, morning meal replacement, now your coffee is your meal
    • Energy boosting, fat burning, pre-workout drink to acheive better results
    • Fatigue fighting, post-workout drink for faster recovery
    • Mid-day, appetite curbing, pick-me-up snack (CLICK decaf or regular)
    • After dinner, protein-enhanced, guilt-free, dessert treat (CLICK decaf)

Which is what I am going to do later on after I am really into my diet plan well enough to know what I can sub out and have one of these instead. Right now I am too new at this and don't want to mess up my plan or my goal, so I am sticking to the diet plan to the letter as much as possible and not stray. I am afraid if I keep improvising and straying, the diet will fall apart and I really need for this diet to succeed.

I am experiencing more joint and back pain and I believe (well, hoping it's nothing serious and just the fact that I have an extra 20 pounds on me than when I first started my disability) so, it's really important for me to get this diet right. If I get the weight off and the problem still exists, then I know my RA and Fibromyalgia must be getting worse or something new is occurring.

La Beauté Pure Vitamin C Serum Review

Disclosure: I got this product as part of an advertorial.

I have been trying out a new Vitamin C Serum from a company called La Beaute Pure, which I am sure you recognize since I did review one of their other serums a few weeks back. They were kind enough to let me try their Vitamin C Serum this time and it has been doing an incredible job of keeping my skin hydrated and looking good! As time goes on, I expect to see even more amazing results and know that my skin will have a nice glow about it and hoping for a clearer and more improved skin!
But, just a word of caution about any skincare reviews that I do at least. In the amount of time that we are given to get these done, please be aware that you won't see the full results anywhere from 2 to 6 months so that is why I normally don't take before and after pictures because you won't be able to see the difference much. I can some because I see my face every single day but you wouldn't see it and so it's not fair to the product to show you pictures.
This is true of any kind of skincare, whatever it may be, it took awhile for those lines to get there and it's going to take some loving care and good skincare products to get it back in good shape. Please don't expect overnight success! Just keep putting in the work, just like you would with a diet or exercise program and you will see the results later on down the road.
Some of the good things this Vitamin C Serum does:
    * PROMPTS collagen production, resulting in reduction of fine line and wrinkles on face
    * FADING of sun spots and scaring with potent brightening Vitamin C serum
    * FAST absorbing, non- greasy, non-sticky Vitamin C for all skin types
    * PROTECTION from sun, helps the efficacy of sun screen by providing a barrier on the skin
    * PREVENTS damage from environment by attacking free radicals
You will also not see these items in La Beaute Pure's products:
    *Parabens or Chemicals
    *Phthalates or Triclosan
    *Fragrance, alcohol, or colors
    *Animal testing
    *Clear bottles
I have been using Vitamin C Serums for years and can always tell the difference between a very good one and one that is not so good. This is one of the better ones and you won't go wrong with this one. But, you have to use it every single day and you have to take care of your skin or it will be a complete waste of time and money. I would hate to see you invest in expensive skincare products and then just let them go to waste because you decided you didn't need to use it every day.
Some more good reasons to use this Vitamin C Serum:
*Vegan base hyaluronic acid-plumps the skin
    * PH balanced, making the right environment for cells to thrive properly
*Botanicals enriching anti-aging properties gives face a natural radiant glow
*Best Vitamin C source-Sodium Ascorbyl Phosphate, gentle, stable, able to assist with acne inflammation and scaring

And while those are awesome things that it's doing to your skin, you still need to put on a good moisturizer also to help the Vitamin C Serum do it's best job to repair your skin, however it got there. While you don't necessarily need to use all the same products from the same company, sometimes, they work best when used in conjunction with each other.

Just like La Beaute Pure products:

La Beauté Hyaluronic Acid Serum may be applied after Vitamin C Serum.  It will aid in the absorption, as it is known for attracting and binding water within the cells of the skin and tissue, acting as a sponge. It helps retain supple firm skin tone.

While Vitamin C Serum tightens the skin, Hyaluronic Acid moisturizes the skin. Remember, this is the one I reviewed earlier this month or late last month. It's a great moisturizer or if you have another favorite, that will work, then adding them together is okay. Just use it!

What La Beaute Pure Vitamin C Serum can do:
Topical Vitamin C Serum is for those wanting their skin to look radiant and youthful without harsh chemical peels, lasers, and facelifts. Pure and natural Vitamin C Serum with hyaluronic acid, amino complex and Vitamin E will deliver a powerful punch to the aging process , reducing fine line and wrinkles on the face. Brightening Vitamin C serum will fade away brown spots and acne scaring leaving the skin brighter and smoother. You deserve the best, you deserve La Beaute Pure Vitamin C Serum for an amazing radiant face.
Cleanse face with your favorite cleanser. While face is slightly damp apply a small amount of topical Vitamin C serum and gently glide over entire face, neck, and décolleté areas with fingertips. Avoid direct contact with eyes. Use in the morning for all day protection. Can also be used at night for repairing the skin while you sleep.
(While I have tried it during the day, I prefer using at night because if you stay out in the sun too long and have very fair skin like I do, I tend to burn and the Vitamin C Serum (any serum, not just this one) seems to make the burning even worse). So, if you have never used Vitamin C Serum or have very fair skin like me, I would do the night time for awhile before attempting to try in the daytime, especially if you are out for hours at a time in the sun.
(98% Naturally Derived /72% Organic) Ingredients for Topical Vitamin C Serum: Water, Organic Aloe Leaf, Vitamin C, MSM, Hyaluronic Acid, Witch Hazel, Kosher Vegetable Glycerin, Carbomer (thickener), Arginine, Jojoba Oil, Vitamin E, Phenoxyethanol (found naturally in green tea and chicory), Vegetable oil, Gotu Kola Extract, Horsetail Plant Extract, Geranium Extract, Dandelion Extract
Lastly, here are some added benefits of using Vitamin C Serums:
  • When used with sunscreen, Vitamin C Serum provides almost complete photo-protection, preventing photo-aging.
  • Sun spots, discoloration, wrinkles, sagging, and loss of elasticity and glow are from oxidative damage. Vitamin C prevents oxidative damage by neutralizing oxygen-free radicals before they can attack the body.
  •  Studies show that topical application of optimized Vitamin C combinations can provide up to eight-fold antioxidant protection.
  •  Optimized Vitamin C can provide a ninety-six percent reduction of sunburn cells.
  •  Vitamin C serum helps prevent the formation of free radicals in UV irradiated skin (sun exposed skin).

This ebook will give you some very useful tips in dealing with your skin and what might work for you and how to use the knowledge to make your skin the best that it can be. When you order your Vitamin C Serum there should be an attachment from Amazon telling you how to download it. If you don't get it, then contact Amazon and let them know so that they can get this ebook. It's really a valuable tool to help you make the most of your skincare products and other good tips.
