La Tortilla Factory Low Carb Tortilla Review

Disclosure: I got this product as part of an advertorial.

If you are watching your weight or just your carbs, I have a new product to share with you that can help you in that regard. I know I have been trying lately to cut out calories and fat from my foods and welcome any and all help that I can get. One of the products that I found was La Tortilla Factory Low Carb Tortilla that I can eat instead of the regular breads.
I have to admit that I was worried that this wouldn't taste right but it really did taste good. What I did to make it a little more enjoyable was to toast it lightly in my toaster oven and then spread a very think low fat butter on it and I did several things, either eat it just like that or I would add a thin layer of No Sugar Jam or Jelly and roll it up or you can even do Peanut Butter or any other spread that is low in calories or fat.
Each large tortilla has 6g net carbs and is loaded with 8g of protein, 48% of your recommended daily intake of fiber, and has only 80 calories. They are made with whole wheat and no hydrogenated oils, so you are only getting all the good with no bad! My husband has been making peanut butter and banana sandwiches his whole life so he tried that on his tortilla and it worked out just fine. I have been trying to get him to cut down on breads also.
I did find one recipe on La Tortilla Factory's site that we liked because it was very easy and didn't have a whole of calories and it's something that we really love to order when we go out to eat but this recipe has cut out a lot of the fat heavy ingredients. I think if you add some diced up chicken it wouldn't add too much to the calories, so if you don't think you can eat it w/o some type of meat, stick with the chicken.

Here's a few questions & answers I thought you might be interested in:

How long is your product good for after I open it?
If stored at room temperature opened or unopened: products should be eaten by the sell-by date for optimal taste and quality. If stored refrigerated, open or unopened: products may remain fresh up to 30 days beyond the sell-by date. If frozen, products can be stored and used up to 90 days past sell-by date. If you’ve frozen your tortillas, we recommend placing them in the refrigerator to thaw prior to enjoying them.
Once thawed, they should remain in the fridge and be eaten within 30 days. (this is actually what I did because there are quite a few tortilla's in each package and I was afraid we wouldn't eat them all in time. Even though they are low carb, I am still trying to limit my bread consumption).

I had no idea that they even had such a thing! Another great way that I eat tortillas is with a little bit of butter and cinnamon and sugar. Try it!
