Hey, guys, have you noticed that General Mills has gone Retro with their cereals? I recently got to try out the cereals show above and I love the packaging! It sure does bring back memories for those of us who are old enough to remember them.
Here is a list of the cereals and the year that it was first introduced:
Cheerios – 1945; Lucky Charms – 1964; Honey Nut Cheerios – 1979; Cinnamon Toast Crunch – 1984. Reese’s Peanut Puffs – 1994.
And they have not changed the taste or the recipe, just the boxes are the ones that they first cam out with, so don't worry about them tasting different. Of course, this is for a limited time only, so hurry by Target if you want to get your retro box of General Mills cereals!
You can also go by Target and get more info and great savings on this limited time offer of selected General Mills cereals.
I don't know about you, but Cinnamon Toast Crunch is my very favorite cereal, so I was really excited to get a box to try out!
I also love Honey Nut Cheerios and will add either blueberries or strawberries to a bowl when I am in the mood. Or if you like the original Cheerios, you can add fruit to those too and kill two birds with one stone. That's why I love any flavor of Cheerios, because it's so easy to add just about any fruit to them, including bananas.
And then of course, Mike likes to have a little bit extra umph to his cereals so he chose the Reese's Peanut Butter Puffs as his favorite retro cereal.
My daughter and granddaughter both grew up on Lucky Charms so I let them have this box to try out and they both loved it!
Whichever General Mills Retro Cereal that you choose, you can't go wrong as they are all awesome. Remember if you want to get your own Retro box of cereal, be sure to go by Target before the limited time offer is gone!
