Tandoor Chef Frozen Entree's Review

I recently got to try something that we don't ordinarily buy when we are shopping for groceries because I wasn't sure if all the food was really hot or not and didn't want to waste my money on finding out, so I was excited to try these frozen entree's from Tandoor Chef!

We got the Chicken Tikka Masala, Palak Paneer and Chicken Tandoori with Spinach. The Chicken Tikka Masala ended up being way too hot for me so Mike ate that one all by himself while I stuck with the Palak Paneer. I have acid reflux and stomach issues otherwise I would have loved to have had some of the other dishes but it's really not worth the pain I go thru afterwards, so Mike had a ball eating most of this product.

Mike had most of this dish devoured before I realized I hadn't taken a picture, so this is what was left!

As you can see, he didn't leave much and I only had one small bite and then realized it was too hot for me.

Oh, and for those of you out there that have to have Gluten Free products, the Chicken Tikka Masala is just that. They have a total of 15 entree's and appetizers that are Gluten Free so if you love Indian Food but have been staying away from it because of that reason, well, now you can go back and enjoy their food!

This is Palek Paneer which is like a spinach and the white chunks are a type of cheese, the Paneer. This cheese is in a lot of Indian dishes and it actually quite good. This is what I ate while Mike had the hot dish. According to Tandoor Chef, this dish goes well with the Riesling wine or Belgian Ales (beers). They actually have a whole section devoted to pairing up each entrée / appetizer with a wine or beer for you to get the most out of dining with their foods.

Somehow, I forgot to take a picture of this entrée that we both shared called Chicken Tandoor with Spinach. I loved the way that they made with spinach with a creamy sauce. Absolutely, my favorite!

There are so many different entree's and appetizers along with Naans (breads) and Vegan meals to choose from I wouldn't have the space to tell you all about them, so go check them out for yourself and read about them so the next time you go grocery shopping, you will have a good idea as to what you might like to try.

You can also buy these products online if they aren't in your grocery store.

About Tandoor Chef:
In the early 1970's, Mrs. Bhagwati Amin's love for good authentic cuisine gave birth to a hobby. She had a passion for sharing the cuisine and culture of her homeland, and served delicious food to friends and neighbors at every possible opportunity.
Soon, small Indian storeowners sought her abilities. As a result, she worked nights and weekends to satisfy her desire to make and serve high quality foods for the broader community. Many advised her to open a restaurant, but she knew that the time required to run a restaurant would detract from her family's needs.
In just a short time, her products became very popular. In 1977, Mrs. Amin and her husband began work on what is today Deep Foods – producing a full line of Tandoor Chef frozen appetizers, entrées and side dishes that delight households across the United States. Today the Tandoor Chef brand remains a family affair, now incorporating the second generation who spends a great deal of time in the kitchen, dreaming up new entrées for you to enjoy.

I love Indian Food, and the Tandoor entrees sound very interesting and different to try for a lunch or dinner dish. I like to try the Chicken Tandoor with Spinach. These sound like very healthy dishes, and I will have to try them.

I always wondered what their products tasted like. I would like to try the Chicken Tikka Masala. It looks good. The spinach one is not for me at all. Thanks for the great review.

I have never had Indian food before and it is interesting to read you review about it, I like you do not doo super hot foods well, but my hubby does, I think that the fact that these foods are gluten free would be great to share with my granddaughters who are on gluten free diets and love trying different foods, I think that the Spinach Paneer Naan Pizza or the Cilantro Pesto Naan Pizza sound great to me.
