Belight Tea Review

Disclosure: I got this product as part of an advertorial.

I have a new wonderful tea I discovered recently that I would love to share with all of you and it's called Belight Tea and you are going to love it as much as I do! I loved how she described her product so I grabbed this video to give you a heads up before I start my review. I never knew how to say that word (Pu-erh), so hearing her say it made it sound so exotic!
I was sent one box to try and it has 12 tea bags inside each box.
The ingredients are all natural and good for you! Check them out:   Pu-erh (a fermented dark tea), Hemp Seeds, Cassia Seeds, Gynostemma, Sacred Lotus Leaf, and Chinese Hawthorn fruit.
How does it taste?  Belight tea is inherently rich in flavor with a natural and slightly sweet taste. The warm, rich aroma and light earthy flavor, with a hint of honey, will soothe your soul as well as your body. You’ll love its luscious taste.
Also, three interesting things that you need to know about Belight Tea:
  • Contains a very small amount of caffeine.
  • 0 Calories. Does not need milk or sugar.
  • Not recommended for pregnant women.
Just so you know, this is a tea to help aid you in bloating and to slim you down. I didn't want you to think this is a tea that you can drink tons of in one day. Try to use just one bag a day and see how you feel before you attempt to drink more than that.

Belight is a unique blend of Pu-erh tea and herbs that supports weight control as it stabilizes energy, balances digestion, and helps you manage cravings.

Here is a little more information on that subject:
If you’ve tried other slimming teas, you probably felt like you were flushed out while having your body stripped of vitamins and minerals.  Then, when you stopped drinking the tea, you felt plugged up like a hose filled with rocks.

Belight is different. It doesn’t strip your digestive tract of its function and nutrients nor create a feeling of dependence on the tea just to have regular bowel function.

Our herbs are gentle, supporting the body’s natural metabolizing, processing, and elimination systems. They help balance your whole  system and maintain digestive regularity without creating any craving or yearning; and you can easily and comfortably stop drinking it anytime.
Belight Tea is a Pyramidal Tea Bag product as you can see from the picture below. I drink tea in all forms, whether it's loose, in tea bags or in these shapes. As long as they are good quality teas made with flavorful ingredients, I love them all! Sometimes, you just don't have the time to do loose tea as it takes a little more time and effort. Tea Bags are definitely a time saver, but I try to get the ones that don't use paper.

I wanted you to know all the technical information first before I delve into my opinion of this awesome tea. I try to find teas that are good for me, not just full of caffeine to keep me awake like most people use coffee for. I do drink it sometimes, but tea is my preferred drink. Belight Tea has so many wonderful qualities and here are a few more:

A deep understanding of the principles of Chinese medicine indicates the tea and herbs in Belight*:
  • Nourish digestive “Qi” (“Qi” is energy or life force in Chinese medicine)
  • Aid digestion and settle the stomach
  • Minimize cravings for sweet and salty foods
  • Reduce stress response and cortisol production
  • Block storage of dietary fats, particularly when drunk after meals
  • Clear “dampness” (a pathogenic evil thought to lead to excess fat storage)
  • Moisten and clear wastes out of the lower digestive tract
How to make Belight Tea:

STEEPING:  Heat fresh, filtered water to 100°C (212°F). Then pour water over tea and steep for 2-3 minutes, depending on how strong you like your tea and how many cups you want to make per bag. Shortest steeping time yields 2-3 flavorful cups per bag.

We recommend starting with one bag per day. Most people can get 2-3 cups from each bag of tea.
It is best to drink the tea close to your heaviest meal, but at least 10 minutes before or after. With 12 bags in each box, you should have enough for just about 2 weeks.

If you feel comfortable, and want a stronger effect or flavor, you can drink two bags per day or double up the tea bags.

If you have any of these problems, then trying Belight Tea might help you:
  • Tired of feeling bloated after meals?
  • Fed up with gaining weight?
  • Exhausted mid-afternoon suffering from the ‘coffee crash’ or post-lunch dip?
  • Always wondering when its time for the next snack?
  • Stressed, wired, and jittery?
But as always, I stress that you check in with your doctor before trying any kind of product that might have some medicinal qualities to it. I would rather you be safe than sorry. I know I check with my GI doctor on everything and he tells me straight up if it's something he thinks will hurt me or might help me. Since I have IBS with constipation, any time I find something that says it helps with bloating and digestion, I am willing to try as long as it won't hurt me.

I also have Fibromyalgia so being tired all the time is another reason I decided to try this tea. And as you all know, I have Hypothyroidism, so I am always having to keep an eye on my weight, even though I don't eat a lot, it still manages to sneak up on me! I will admit I have slipped a few days here and there and didn't find the time to drink this tea every single day, but on the days that I did drink it, I seemed to feel better.

That has been one of my New Year's resolutions, is to try and keep up better with some of the homeopathic medicines to see if I can get some of these conditions under control. I am taking way too much medicines and it's affecting my ability to keep up with my blog, so I have got to do something or I will have to stop blogging. The RA and Fibromyalgia is really taking it's toll on me the last 2 months and I am really struggling.

So, to help me with that, my husband bought me this new Tea Kettle as one of my Christmas presents and it now sits on my stove to remind me to drink a cup of tea whenever I go into the kitchen. Especially at night when I feel like I want to snack the most! It's a very beautiful Tea Kettle and it drives Charlie insane when it goes to whistling, but I am drinking more tea again!
