ToiletTree Facial & Body Hair Trimmer Review

I have another amazing product that I haven't reviewed yet from ToiletTree Products that I think you would like to hear about. It's their Professional Heavy Duty Facial & Body Hair Trimmer with a LED light to help you see what you are doing.
Main Features:
  • Unisex detail trimmer with a truly unique and sleek design
  • Wide precision blade is perfect for painlessly removing hair from your body, face, nose, ears, or neckline
  • Super bright LED light helps you find any and all hairs
  • Two comb attachments for trimming eyebrows to desired lengths
  • Compact design with blade cover allows for use at home or on the go: Operates on 1 AAA battery, included!

It's really a pretty nifty little thing to have around. I was amazed at the size of this trimmer, because it really is small enough to fit into your purse to take with you for emergency touch ups. I love that it's run by a battery so no plug in's to worry about. It's actually not much bigger than some mascara's that I have seen out there.

I don't think the picture quite shows you this but the blade is completely encased in a see through plastic protector like shield so that the blade is mostly covered to add some protection so you won't be able to hurt yourself too bad. I liked that because it's less chance of cutting yourself or your small children getting hurt also. I appreciate the fact that ToiletTree took the time and effort to think this one out and made it really sleek and practical all at the same time.

Hopefully, this angle gives you a better idea of how carefully they made this blade to keep it in a safe place at all times. I tried to turn the light on and take the picture but it just doesn't show up very good with my camera. Even the one on their site wasn't showing it that well, but believe me, it's quite enough to see what you are doing! And that is one area that you really want to see what you are doing, or at least I do!

ToiletTree has quite a few products that are great to have and I know you see me talking about them quite a bit, but gosh, they do have some pretty amazing products and they aren't expensive either. It's a great company with products that are useful and easy to use. I hope you get the chance to try some of them out in the future. You will definitely find several things that you will want to have, like the Professional Skincare System. It's on one of my personal favorites.

About ToiletTree:
ToiletTree Products began with a simple holiday gift from Mom. After receiving a fogless mirror as a Christmas present in 2008, Steven, who had always loved the concept of shaving in the shower, made it his mission to redesign the mirror that failed to stand up to its claims of being fog-free and unshakable wall adherence. Fed up with frustration and uneven shaves, Steven joined forces with his father and brother to design a mirror that not only stayed attached to the wall, but, most importantly, guaranteed a fogless face for life!
After many long months of brainstorming and testing prototypes, the trio took their design to manufacturing in January of 2010, where ToiletTree Products was finally born. A fun play on the word ‘toiletry,’ the company takes its name from the category in which their creations fall: bathroom products! In only a mere six months, ToiletTree’s Fogless Shower Mirror made its debut on, earning the title of Amazon’s #1 top-selling beauty product by Christmas of 2010. Due to the overwhelming number of customer requests, ToiletTree’s Fogless Shower Mirror expanded its line to include the Deluxe LED Mirror, as well as one fit for travel and On-The-Go.

Fashion Craze Style Bracelet Review

This is the second time that I have been able to offer Fashion Craze as a giveaway in one of my blog hop's and I can't wait to see what all Monica has up her sleeve for the 2 winner's of this year's Crazy Cupid Giveaway Hop that starts on February 1st and ends on the 15th. Two of you will win one of her awesome bracelets!

As you can see from the two totally different styles of bracelets, she is able to make just about any kind that you could possibly want. I really love her earrings also. She gets very creative and I am always amazed at how creative she gets. I have always been envious of people who can make beautiful pieces of  jewelry. I guess it just wasn't my thing to be able to do that kind of stuff. But, I sure am glad for the artists like Monica who can!

I also went and grabbed two of her rhinestone earrings to show you what she can do with earrings. These are the smaller style earrings but I can tell you that the bulk of them are something they call the basketball wives? I don't have a clue what that means unless it is referring to the hoops and I must admit, they are huge! I am so out of my element on this one! Sorry!

I just grabbed these for the fun element! What can you say about earrings that have lips on them? I know that the younger crowd is really getting into the bizarre stuff but I guess we all did when we were young, didn't we?  I guess bell bottoms would seem crazy to them now too along with the guys and their long hair! But we lived it and at the time nothing was thought of it but now, I cringe when I see my hairstyle and some of the clothes I used to wear! Thank Goodness we grow older and wiser, huh?

I really love this Crystal Rhinestone Crown Pendant & Necklace that she made. It's different but sparkly, just like I like my jewelry. Sort of a whimsical fantasy like necklace, don't you think?
Oh, just so you know, she will do a custom order so if you see something you sorta like but want it in a different color or different beads or whatever, just leave her a message on her Etsy site or you can email her at

You can also follow her on Twitter . Lastly, check her out on her Facebook page.

Baby Bullet Review

I was very fortunate to get a Baby Bullet from Magic Bullet to try out and they sent me this awesome 20 piece set along with a few extra pieces to boot. If you have tried any of their products, you will know that this was a real treat to get and use, but for reasons you won't believe and I will explain in a minute. First, let me tell you a little bit about the Baby Bullet.

Here is what is included in this 20 piece set:
  • power base
  • batch bowl
  • baby blend blade
  • milling blade
  • easy-pop batch tray
  • 6 date dial storage cups
  • spatula
  • short cup
  • resealable lid
  • tip-proof tray
  • user manual
  • cookbook
  • pocket nutritionist book
  • I also got an extra cup with the handles & an extra easy-pop batch tray

I thought this video would be perfect to show you what all this great product can do:

I thought this video would help all the new Moms out because I did something different with my Baby Bullet and it won't be the same as what all of you will do with yours. I have Fibromyalgia, RA, I.C. and IBS! That's a lot of health issues and one of my main problems is getting enough good food in my system. I get full on 3 or 4 bites of food so fast that I hardly get any nutrients!
With the IBS I swell so bad that my doctor wants me to eat 6 or 7 mini meals during the day instead of 3 like most of you eat. So, I have had a real problem figuring out portions until this came along. So, I think you know where I am going with this. Actually, a fellow blogger suggested it to me because she knows how much trouble I have eating. I thought, wow, she's right. These would make perfect portions of protein shakes and/or Greek yogurt parfaits where I can add small amounts of fruits and veggies.
Now, these pictures above are of baby food because I realize the main purpose of this product is for babies, not adults, so I wanted to make sure I covered what baby food should look like instead of what my food looked like. In case you are wondering, it pretty much looks just like a smoothie would in a regular Magic Bullet, just in these smaller containers. I also love the fact that they have the date feature so I know when I made them. And I am sure that will come in double handy with new Moms who have enough to worry about without trying to remember when they made their baby's food.
Actually, this picture above is pretty close to the consistency that I have been trying to get my Greek Yogurt parfaits to come out as. I even have made some Organic Matcha Tea Smoothies that happen to be loaded with a lot of nutrients and help boost my metabolism. I just add some yogurt to the mix and it makes it a little thicker than the smoothie recipe and it comes out this exact same color, which my husband thought was icky, but if he would taste Organic Matcha Tea, he would change his tune!
I know that the company makes other kinds of Bullets, like the Magic Bullet, NutriBullet and the Party Bullet. I would love to see what the NutriBullet or the Magic Bullet could do but if I don't, I can make do with my Baby Bullet. No matter which size you get, I think they are all great products and work super easy and make great additions to helping all of us create good food for ourselves and our children.
About the company:

Lady M Scents Review

We have been given some more products from one of my favorite shops on Etsy called Lady M Scents and wow, are you going to love some of the scents that she has come up with! She has sent me several fragrances in the past to try and I have really enjoyed all of them. I thought of her when I knew Valentine's Day was coming and as always, she jumped at the chance to be here.

She has added something new to her list that I haven't tried yet and that is the Face & Hair Mist, so I won't be able to tell you about that particular product, but I do know about the Body Sprays and Body Frostings! So, I will just be going over some of my favorite's from the past and the winner can select her own scent.

I have smelled so many of them in the past and they are all sinfully delicious. Here are a few that I remember reviewing and I can tell you that the Lavender Martini was awesome, the FlowerBomb was really off the charts and White Diamonds was so good you couldn't tell it was not the real McCoy!
1. Whisper of Love Moisturizing Body Spray
2. Lavender Martini Moisturizing Body Spray
3. White Cherry Blossom Body Butter
4. Mangosteen Whipped Body Frosting
5. White Diamonds in both Body Frosting and Spray
6. Flower Bomb in both Body Frosting and Spray
7. Willow Whispers in both Body Frosting and Spray
I really do love the Whisper of Love Body Spray and in Lavender Martini Body Spray and so will you! It is a nice clean smell that will leave you wanting more. Oh, my goodness, when I sprayed a little on my arm to just get a whiff of it, my husband who was in the living room smelled it and wanted to know what was that smell? Whisper of Love's scent is uniquely sweet, exotic, precious wood scent blended with ozone and rosewood, then gently infused with musky sandalwood, teakwood and vanilla

The Lavender Martini was the other body spray that I got to try. All I know is that I fell in love with it but of course I already love any lavender but this spray put lavender into a whole new meaning! This is how she described it and I couldn't have put it in any better terms: What do you get when you mix lavender with vodka, add a sprig of sage and basil, then kiss with white musk and a soft woodsy base? An upscale, spa-like scent that will make you scream WOWZERS! Definitely NOT your average lavender scent... very clean and absolutely wonderful!
Her moisturizing body sprays will leave your skin soft nourished and protected. The smell is intoxicating and will last for hours on the skin. Her Fragrance oils will open up a whole new world for you, scents that you have never dreamed of blended together to give off a unique smell. She has many different fragrance oils to choose from for you to use and enjoy. They come in these really pretty purple bottles wrapped with lavender ribbons. I love. the little extra care that she takes in packaging them up for mailing. They are really wrapped up tight in cellophane and bubble wrap!
I also got to review this wonderful body frosting called Willow Whispers and it is in a light green color. Monica says this about her Willow Whispers: A blend of green tea and willow combined with water-cress, ozone, orange flower, jasmine and cyclamen, then sprinkled with hints of amber and cedar. A happy and pleasant scent.. It smells so good! You'll love it just as much as I do! It's not oily at all, it moisturizes the skin leaving it soft nourished and protected. The smell is intoxicating lasting for hours.

Now, I did not get a sample of her Fountain of Youth but she describes it as being fresh air notes, Japanese grapefruit, spring melons, rose, lotus blossoms, lily of the valley, bamboo and white musk scent. Monica's moisturizing body sprays will leave you feeling light and moisturizing. They do last a good long time. Both the spray and the Whipped Body Frosting will smell exactly the same so you can layer the scents. This is a bottle of her Fountain of Youth Body Spray:

It may look heavy as a body butter but because it is whipped, as soon as you touch it and began to rub into your skin, it disappears into your skin leaving you feel hydrated without all that heavy creamy feeling you get from other body creams.
Monica's got a good sense for smell, obviously and knows what she is doing. I am in awe of people who know how to mix what with that and come out on the other end with something spectacular. As long as I get to try them, I will leave the genius's to their work while I reap the harvest.  I can't wait to see what she makes the next time!
I did not count them but there looked to be over at least 50 or more sample fragrances that you can buy for $1.95 each so that you can sample some of them without buying the bigger ones and finding out you don't like them. If, I were you, that is what I would do. Especially if you have never smelled any of these combinations, it would be worth it to sample them and get used to them before buying.

These are what the samples look like:

Happy Shopping!

Mirror Deep Book Review

Welcome to my tour stop for Mirror Deep by Joss Landry. This is an adult/new adult romantic suspense and the tour runs January 13-31st with mostly reviews.  Be sure to stop by the tour page for the list of tour stops.
Mirror Deep by Joss Landry
Genre: Romantic Suspense recommended for 16+
Length: 456 pages
Release date: Oct. 2012

Katherine Bonner with the golden eyes and a golden, enchanted life is well on her way to becoming a horse whisperer. Tall, athletic, she loves to ride, and she can usually exact good behavior from most wild steed, except from Pierce who bucks her at every crack of the whip.

Pierce is top honcho in charge of the fifteen hundred acre ranch, Bonner-Willow. Although he owns a Master’s in business administration, he loves to be around horses. He considers himself more of a cowboy than a CEO.

When Kat becomes the bearer of unexpected news about her past from ex-convict, ex-lawyer Victor Horn, she wonders how she will ever find her roots and manage to put the pieces of her life back together again. She turns to Pierce, the dark hair and blue eyed hunk whom Kat believes, thinks he is God's gift to women.

Pierce reluctantly agrees to help, partly for reasons of his own. He worries about his lawyerly father being involved with Victor's murder. As Pierce and Kat travel to Chicago together, they walk right into a criminal investigation headed by two bumbling detectives. Kat makes a date with a potential serial killer, and Pierce, whose affection for Kat is slowly changing to one of deeper commitment, worries about her safety. Meanwhile, Kat bumps into a doppelganger she believes is stalking her, only to discover that no one else ever sees her.

Mirror Deep uncovers many twists and turns designed to keep the reader guessing until the end. Through all the action, Pierce remains by Kat's side. Will he be able to hide from Kat his mounting desire? Will Kat find who this look alike is and why she is trying to warn her? Does Kat follow a stranger to Paris, France simply to put miles between her and Pierce or to avoid the threat of a potential killer?

My Review:

If your niche is mysteries with some romance thrown in, this book, Mirror Deep will satisfy your cravings for both. Kat is thrown into a tailspin when she finds out that she was adopted. She didn't know that and thought all this time that Pierce was her cousin. They had a strong bond between them but it always felt weird, like she couldn't figure out how she should feel about him. Now that she knows he really isn't her cousin, will things change?

Evidently, a crooked lawyer named Horn got caught for baby trafficking years ago and spent some time jail and now he is back. Kat's real mother has passed away and the family would like for Kat to come to Chicago and be at the service. This sets in motion a whole lot of events, including a mystery as to why someone would try to kill her and what are they after?

Kat also gets another surprise when she meets someone who will rock her boat even further. But the mysteries keep piling up but Pierce along with Kat are determined to get to the bottom of things.

She also finds out her real mother was from France and her grandfather is very wealthy. She decides to take a trip to France to see him and to try and get some answers.

It's a really well thought out story with lots of twists and turns. Great story to get involved in and you will enjoy it to the very end.

Happy Reading!

Title: The Cloud Seeders
Genre:Young Adult/Teen/ Dystopian/Science Fiction

Language: English
Format:Paperback, Kindle

Book Description:

What they discover along the way will change their lives, and their country, forever.
The Cloud Seeders weaves humor and heartache, as well as poetry and science, into a unique novel that defies categorization.
Purchase your copy on Amazon.
My Review:
If you love YA Fantasy, Science Fiction and/or Thrillers, then this book will satisfy your cravings for all of those genres.
This is actually a story that could very well come true as far as what the government is capable of and how they control people. The invention of the Cloud Seeder, well, I don't know about that part, but as far as the government doing secret things behind our back, that I believe.
This is a story about two boys who have a father that is a scientist who discovers how to make rain and how to control the rain. The project is The Cloud Seeder and because their father saw the potential for disaster if run by the government, I think he was going to tell the people what they were doing. But, instead, they are both killed and made to look like suicides so that their two boys could have their rations of food and water.
You see, the government is hoarding the water in the eastern part of the United States while out in the west, people are dying of thirst. They are so desperate for water that they have what they called Recyclers that recycles their pee! Yes, you read that right, these poor folks are having to recycle their pee for water while the people who live in the east have lush green grass and plenty of food and water!!
The oldest boy comes home and finds his parents bodies in the basement in a grave with a note telling him what they did. So, he finishes burying them and tells no one that they are dead, even his brother. He tells them they went on a trip to California (they live in Oregon) and it's top secret. But, in reality, the President of the United States had his parents killed to shut them up.
The boys join a group that patrols and finds people breaking the law, such as making their own recyclers and taking baths or watering their lawns. If you get too many of these violations, you could be deemed a Leftover and Leftovers have a way of disappearing.
Slowly but surely the boys get restless and begin to question things. That is where the story gets very interesting. If you love mysteries or YA Fantasy, this book will delight you and you will want to read it until the end. At least I did. And what an ending it was!
Happy Reading!

Sunkissed Book Review

I have a really awesome new YA Fantasy book to share with all of you called SunKissed written by Carys Jones.
Dawn Summers is dying. It’s 1853 and as the seventeen year old continues to fade away she has visions of the father she never knew, urging her to fight for her life. In the small village of Fandova the only medical care is in the form of the mysterious Dr. Moralus who has a known penchant for bloodletting.
Thomas, Dawn's fiancĂ©, is warned against inviting his intervention, but feels he has no choice, he pleads with the doctor to save Dawn’s life…whatever it takes. Whatever it ‘takes’ has some consequences neither of them expected. Now, it’s a hunt to the death, with both Dawn and Thomas determined to win.
Wow, when you first start reading this story, you think Thomas is just an awesome guy because he is fighting so hard to keep Dawn alive. But, when he finds out what this Doctor did to keep her from dying, then he wants to be just like her and so he goes to the Doctor and demands to be made into a vampire also.
Trouble is, he is not at all like Dawn, who is a gentle person and is good. Thomas emerges as a dark, spiteful villain. He has no qualms about killing people whereas Dawn will only kill chickens for the blood.  Finally, she sees him for what he really is and decides to end her life. But, when she goes outside to let the sun burn her up, she is able to walk around without any trouble!
So, in that moment, she decides to run. She can't stand being around Thomas anymore knowing he is killing humans. Especially when he killed that little boy who used to be his friend. So, she takes off and never looks back.
Now, we come to the present day and things are starting to close in on her. She has been a vampire now for 200 years and lives off of black pudding, whatever the heck that is! But, she seems to be able to survive on it, I just am not sure what it is.
If you love reading about vampires, you will definitely want to read this one. It isn't overly gory or bad language either. It's a well thought out story that is clean and is suitable for teens and young adults.
Happy Reading!

Colors of Africa Bracelet & Earrings Set Review

I have another great product to tell you about that I got from World Vision, the organization that is helping out the people in the Phillipines with the Typhoon Haiyan Disaster Relief Fund.
They sent me this lovely Zakale Colors of Africa Bracelet and Earrings set to review that were made in Nairobi. Take a look and you will see why I am so very excited about the set!
These are handcrafted in Kenya from recycled beads and wire. These awesome artists who received a loan from World Vision to grow their business and lift themselves out of poverty.

Approximate sizes: bracelet 8" long, earrings 2" long. Each is unique - size and color may vary slightly.
If you will remember right before Christmas I had the Ornament Set that was animals from Africa as Christmas Tree Ornaments that I reviewed. This is the same organization that those lovely ornaments came from. Everything that I have seen on World Vision's website is absolutely beautiful. No matter what you get there, it will be something to treasure for years to come.

URGENT: World Vision is providing vital help to survivors of Typhoon Haiyan—one of the strongest storms in recorded history—after it slammed the Philippines on November 8. An estimated 14.4 million people are affected, including 5.5 million children. Thousands are dead and millions more need emergency assistance. World Vision is rushing to meet the most urgent needs of food, clean water, and emergency shelter for the most vulnerable children and their families.
Your gift will help provide vital relief to children and families devastated by Typhoon Haiyan in the Philippines.

  • $24 can provide essential supplies like a blanket and mosquito net.
  • $33 can supply a hygiene kit for a family.
  • $35 can provide a food kit to feed a family for 7 days.
  • $184 can give a family an emergency shelter.
  • $285 can provide the essentials that a family needs to survive, including food, clean water, shelter, education, and Child-Friendly Spaces.

  • To help even more, sponsor a child in the Philippines. When a disaster like Typhoon Haiyan strikes, sponsorship provides a child and entire community with life-saving basics and resilience in the aftermath.

The Philippines is hit by an average of 19 typhoons a year. A tropical country made up of more than 7,100 volcanic islands, the Philippines is vulnerable to earthquakes, tsunamis, flooding, and landslides. Ongoing conflict in some areas also puts children’s lives at risk.

World Vision has been working with the people of the Philippines since 1954, and we are often one of the first organizations to respond when disaster strikes. Our global pre-positioning resource network ensures that we can provide emergency relief supplies including food, hygiene kits, and temporary shelter to the most vulnerable.

In addition to life-saving aid, World Vision establishes Child-Friendly Spaces to provide children with safe environments. We stay in a community for the long haul to help families recover, rebuild, and prepare for the next disaster.

Learn more about our Impact on Disaster Relief.
You can also sponsor a child if you choose to help in that way also. Here is what that will do:

For about $1 a day, you'll provide children in need with access to life-saving basics like:
  • Clean water
  • Nutritious food
  • Healthcare
  • Education
  • And more!

  • You can also go check out their Gift Catalog Video on how buying a gift works and how it helps. In the past year, they used 85% of their total operating expenses for programs that directly benefit children, families, and communities. Only 10% goes back in Fundraising and 5% goes to Management. I would say that is a pretty darn percentage rate of success!

Aren't these gorgeous flowers? I know for Valentine's Day it is a little cliché to still want and/or get flowers, but I just can't help it, I LOVE THEM! It might have something to do with the fact that I also got married the day before Valentine's Day, so I get a double whammy those 2 days.

I know, I know, some years I tell him not to bother but deep down, I always hope that he doesn't listen to me and gets them anyway. And for the most part, he does. So, now I have a new place to tell him about that he can get me my roses and save money! is perfect for both saving money and getting some really awesome looking flowers.

I love all kinds of flowers, not just roses and the neat thing about is that they have whatever you could possibly want or dream about. I am a huge fan of getting flowers in containers that can be used again for something else and there are plenty of options here. I love getting flowers in baskets because I use those baskets to store things like magazines, shoes, Charlie's dog toys and of course, my books that I like to read.

    Getting Healthy in 2014

Every employer has experienced the pain due to the absence of employees and low production. Other employees are expected to pick up the slack and they can begin to feel unjustly treated. This type of scenario is never good for keeping morale at its best and soon, a poor attitude follows. Before considering replacing good employees, look at the reason why absence, tardiness, and slow work performance, is happening.

Why Nutrition and Exercise is Important

Some employees find themselves sliding into a slower pace without even realizing it. This can result in a feeling of sluggishness, flu-like symptoms, and lack of clarity. By the time that this state of physical and mental stupor is noticed, it could be effecting work performance, without the individual realizing it. Many times, the lack of proper nutrition and exercise is the cause of such a melt down. Fast food, unhealthy snacks, and sitting dormant in front of a computer all day, can cause the body to settle into a slower rate of working. By the end of the work day, the energy is even less and rest is all that occupies the mind.

The Warrior & The Flower Book Review

The Warrior & the Flower by Camille Picott

Yi, a retired soldier, has lost everything he loves—his wife, his daughter, and his home. He seeks refuge from his heartache by plunging into a secret mission for the World Emperor. The assignment takes him to the doorstep of a brothel, where he witnesses the madam beating a young girl. Drawn by the child’s striking resemblance to his lost daughter, Yi rushes to her defense and negotiates for her purchase—after all, how hard can it be to care for one little girl? But between the child’s inquisitive nature and the dangerous secret she carries, he gets more than he bargained for.

    My Review:
I thoroughly enjoyed the book! Yes, there are some sad things that happen in the beginning, but then it gets a lot better and the pace picks up after Yi decided to take Tulip with him. He gets there just in time to stop her from getting a beating from the madam of the place where she and her mother lived. Her mother was so grateful that a man with wealth would be looking out for her daughter and so she let her go willingly.
Yi and Tulip go on some really fun adventures and meet quite a few characters along the way. While Yi worried that Tulip might not be able to defend herself, Tulip was busy making friends wherever she went.

Tulip is quite capable of taking care of herself once she learns how to use her special gift. She actually becomes the hero of the story. I loved the whole fantasy aspect of the story and it will be a great book for a teen or young adult to read along with you!
It's a fun book to read and I think you will even smile a place here and there for the love and tenderness that Yi exhibits to Tulip.

    Happy Reading!

    About the Author:

Camille Picott is a fifth-generation Chinese American. She writes science fiction and fantasy books with Asian characters and/or Asian settings. Camille grew up reading speculative fiction stories largely devoid of Asian characters and culture. This, coupled with a passion for her heritage, is the reason she strives to bring some aspect of Eastern myth, legend, culture, and ethnicity to all of her writings. To visit Camille, go to
