ToiletTree Professional Skin Care System Review For Jingle Jam Giveaway

You are going to love Toilet Tree's new Professional Skin Care System. I have been using it for awhile and my skin feels super awesome.  I have been so fortunate to be able to use this system for quite awhile and I can definitely say it makes a difference in the way my skin feels. Look at all the colors that are now available for you to choose from! I got the beautiful purple colored one this time to give to my granddaughter for her to use on her face.

I have been blessed that Toilet Tree has been a very gracious sponsor whenever I have asked for help and they have come thru again for the Jingle Jam Giveaway Hop that starts on December 1st and ends on the 15th. One winner will receive this same set! Open in the U.S. only. Good Luck Everyone!

I have to tell you I was really impressed with Toilet Tree's Skincare System because I have been lucky enough to have one a really nice one from a top derm doctor and this was just about as good as the one that is suppose to cost a few hundred. So, I kept the Toilet Tree System and gave the other one to my daughter. I gave this last one to my granddaughter and she is loving how her skin glows.

She still gets breakouts from acne and really needed something that would clean her skin really good. And Toilet Tree's Skincare System does that. She was so surprised but I wasn't, I knew that this could change things for her and it has. Her skin is clearer and has a healthy glow. Before she looked ashen with all the products she uses to control the acne. I told her a good cleaning out of her pores would do more than any other skincare item. Now, she is a true believer and praises Toilet Tree to all of her friends!

Toilet Tree's Skincare System has these features:

•Rotating facial and body brush for deep cleansing and exfoliating.
•Helps to reduce the appearance of problem areas such as: oily skin, dry patches, fine lines, blemishes, visible pores, blackheads and wrinkles.
•Ideal for the preparation and removal process of cosmetics.
•Gentle massage actions helps to stimulate new skin cell production creating firmer & healthy glowing skin.
•System includes: 2 face exfoliators (1 soft for sensitive skin types & 1 medium for normal skin types), 1 body exfoliator and 1 pumice sphere. Refills available.

You are able to achieve all of those great results because they give you several different sizes and shapes of accessories to help make this go as smooth as possible with the least amount of problems. My very favorite is the buffing one that can help with smoothing out some rough patches on my hands and feet. That accessory is the one on the picture located below. It can buff your skin into perfection! Especially if you have some hard places on the feet.

I have a place on my big toe that for whatever reason gets all the punishment for wearing those heels all those years. And now that I don't have to wear them, I still have to deal with all those years of being silly and thinking it was so darn sexy to wear those heels! Gosh, if only we knew back then what we were doing to our feet and our bodies! I can tell you that my face always feels much softer when I use the system than when I don't.

I will go a few days and just wash my face naturally and then use the system and it is amazing the difference I can feel in how much more smoother my skin is plus I notice that even though I thought I was getting my face clean, I still had some dark residue on the brushes when I was done.

So, that let's me know that even though we think we are cleaning our faces with just our cleanser and water, we really need to be using some kind of skincare system like Toilet Tree's or if you can't do that then at least use a facial scrub a few times a week to make sure you are really getting rid of the makeup and grime build up.

You can buy these on Amazon/USA and Amazon/Canada.

Running Against Traffic Book Review

PUBLICATION DATE: February 15, 2013
GENRE: Contemporary Women's Fiction

Synopsis:
Paige Scott spent her childhood shuffled between relatives who ignored her, and her adult life hiding in her crumbling marriage to wealthy David Davenport. When David suddenly thrusts her into a remote, impoverished world, Paige is forced to face the betrayals of her past - not to mention the colorful townies of her present. Unexpected friendships and her discovery of running propel her on a jagged and comical journey toward learning how to truly live.
Wow, David was really rough on Paige and it really wasn't all her fault. After all, he was seeing someone else behind her back, so for him to blame her for everything, kinda made me a little mad. I hate self righteous people who think that there stuff is better than mine.

But, Paige got the ultimate revenge. She may have not been a good person when she first got to that little town that David just threw her into and left without much money, but she slowly came around and made something of herself.

She made some good friends, fixed up the house and then sat quietly for awhile and made plans for her future. Too bad Al won't be a part of it, but I think they both knew that he couldn't be. He's from the little backwoods town and she is from the city. But I am so glad she will get her revenge on David, but in a nice clean way.

Great book that could teach us all how to live life better and be a better person. You will enjoy reading this book!

Happy Reading!

Quilts of Love Book Review

I have two books that are about love and quilts and what they mean to each girl who is in love. They are the The Christmas Quilt written by Vannetta Chapman and the Aloha Rose written by Lisa Carter.
Synopsis:
Annie’s life is deliciously full as the Christmas season approaches. She helps her husband, Samuel, attend to the community’s minor medical needs. She occasionally assists Belinda, the local midwife, and most days, she finds herself delivering the buggy to her brother Adam. Annie’s sister-in-law Leah is due to deliver their first child before Christmas morning, and Annie is determined to finish a crib quilt before the boppli arrives.
With six weeks to go, she should have no problem . . . but God may have a different plan. Leah is rushed to the English hospital when the infant arrives early, and Annie discovers the Christmas quilt may hold a far greater significance than she ever imagined.
Both women are pregnant, although Annie doesn't know it yet. She is making a quilt for Leah and her baby, which is also another surprise. She ends up having to go to the hospital for several weeks because of the surprise awaiting them.

Annie gets her surprise in the spring and that leads her to understand the double meaning of the special quilt that she was making for Leah.

You will enjoy this lighthearted and very special Christmas book. It never hurts to read good stories about good things in life this time of year. Enjoy the time, because it sure does fly by!

Synopsis:
When Laney Carrigan’s adoptive parents encourage her as an adult to seek out her birth family, her only clue is the Lokelani quilt in which she was found wrapped as an infant. Centering her search on the Big Island, she battles fears of rejection from a family that abandoned her once before while her faith struggles to embrace God’s love.
Along the path to her true heritage, she meets Hawaiian cowboy/helicopter pilot, Kai Barnes. Kai is determined to protect the people he’s come to regard as family against a woman he suspects of being nothing more than a gold-digger, but he finds himself drawn to Laney in spite of his reservations. He’s spent his entire life seeking forgiveness from past mistakes and longs for a second chance at happiness.
Laney’s painstaking journey to find restoration and a place to belong among the breathtaking allure of the Big Island will lead her closer to her past and maybe even something more.
I loved this story even better than the first one. Laney is adopted and her adoptive mother dies and then her adoptive father remarries. It is then that he thinks Laney should try to find her real parents. She was left with a beautiful quilt so Laney posted it on the Internet hoping someone would recognize it and they did.

She finds out her parents were from one of the islands in Hawaii so she goes there with the intent of meeting her mother and aunt. But no one is there to meet her but a man named Kai who takes her to her grandmother. There is a lot of misunderstandings and one is a downright lie that is told to her about her mother being dead. Her father is definitely dead. He was a soldier and died long time ago before she was even born.

Will her real mother finally come out of hiding? Why is she hiding? You will want to read this awesome book to find out Laney's mysterious past and why it is still being buried.

Happy Reading!

What Remains Book Review

I have a really good book to share with you called What Remains written by Bart Baker.

Synopsis:
When Conner Carter is banished from New York City for cheating on his socialite wife, he flies across country to Sonoma, California, to stay with his brother Cody and Cody’s ridiculously wealthy husband, Rhett, and their two adopted Cambodian children. Jealous since childhood of Cody's seemingly perfect life, Conner discovers that things that glitter often tarnish and shatter in shocking and dangerous ways.
Having always taken the easiest route through life, Conner, must step up for his brother when Rhett goes missing on a film shoot in Colombia, and for the woman Conner is falling in love with, Zinzi, the half-Black, half-Puerto Rican nanny whose own violent past has caught up with her. From the tattered and surprising pieces of their lives, these people with find the strength in WHAT REMAINS.
Again, I wasn't sure I would like this book when I first started reading it but the more I read, the more I got involved with the characters and wondered where this story was going.

It is told by each person's own side of the story, which means when something happens, you will read what each person thought of that particular situation and how it pertained to them.

I did like that the author let Connor grow up finally and that he saw that the way he treated people was not good and that he needed to change. Too bad it came to late for one of the characters. It would have been nice if Connor had made peace with Rhett, but live is like that sometimes.

But, he does come thru for his brother, Cody and for the new woman in his life, Zinzi, who really needs the most help of all of them. Yes, Cody and Rhett is a tragic story but it has an ending, where Zinzi is the one in constant danger if something isn't down about her brother.

And yes, I know all about brothers and sisters who absolutely can't stand each other. I have one myself and used to try my best to fix things, but it's to the point to where you can't make someone do anything and I am tired. So, he will have to be the one who makes the next move. I have made the last 10 or more.

This book will bring out the best and the worst in people, but at least in the book, things heal and it ends well, or at least it does for almost everyone.
About the Author:

With two feature films, eleven movies for television, four television series credits, as well as eight theatrical plays produced around the world, WHAT REMAINS is Bart’s second novel. Bart’s first novel, HONEYMOON WITH HARRY, was a critical and commercial success and the movie rights were bought by Warner Bros./New Line Cinema for a feature film.  He’s recently sold a film project in conjunction with the hit song by Miranda Lambert, OVER YOU, to the Lifetime Network.   Bart lives in Ellisville, Missouri with his family.

My Take on Denise Richards Perfume:

You are going to love this awesome smelling perfume! The bottle is beautiful and the scent is very chic and will definitely get you noticed. I tried not to spray too much on me because I thought this would make an awesome Christmas gift for my granddaughter. She loves perfumes and I have so many that I just used enough to get an idea of what it smelled like.

I love the bottle, with the little gold charms hanging down. It gives it a little bit of glamour and bling. Whoever you get this for, yourself or someone else, you both will love the softness and clean scent that will last for a long time. I sprayed some on my robe and it's been there for 2 days! I love when a scent will do that, leave a lasting impression but still be soft and clean.

Related by Chance, Family by Choice Book Review

If you are married and have a Mother-in-Law or you have a Daughter-in-Law, you might want to read this interesting book called Related by Chance, Family by Choice written by Deb DeArmond.

Synopsis:
Transforming Mother-in-Law and Daughter-in-Law Relationships. What does it take to create true family unity between moms and the women who marry their sons?
The caricatures are everywhere, the jokes are inexhaustible, and the stereotypes fill the screens. From Marie Barone (Everyone Loves Raymond) to Viola Fields (Monster-in-Law) to Internet sites and social media pages like ihatemyinlaws.com and a Facebook page for ihatemymotherinlaw there is no shortage of examples of the caustic relationships that can develop between the two women in a man’s life.
Deb DeArmond and her three daughters-in-law have conducted their own exhaustive research into the status of the women-in-law relationship. Their research, which incorporated online surveys, interviews, and discussions, included asking about the faith factor in the relationships they studied. Of the respondents, nearly 90 percent claimed they were Christians, and 79 percent said their faith was foundational and guided their actions and decisions. As discouraging as it may be, the numbers of those they surveyed who reported that their women-in-law relationships were “bad” were nearly identical to those in a survey conducted by a popular secular website that recorded no statistics on faith.
Beyond the statistics and their analysis, Deb brings to this book more than thirty years working with adults to improve communications and deal constructively with conflict. Aside from her research and her professional expertise, perhaps the most important asset Deb brings to this work is her own relationship with her three daughters-in-law that is so obviously and unusually positive that she—and they—are often asked to explain the secret of the relationships they share.
This practical and unapologetically scriptural book covers issues of personal perceptions, strained communication, the roles of sons and fathers in the relationship’s success, how to begin these relationships on the right foot, and the necessity of trust and love. Deb’s one motivating objective is to help women-in-law move from women who are simply related to strong and confident members of a truly spiritual family.
My Thoughts:

This book actually had a lot of good advice for both daughter-in-laws and mother-in-laws. It is a self help book to help you navigate the waters, especially if the son happens to be an only child or the youngest. I myself have been in one of those situations and it can be tricky because there isn't other women around to take some of the pressure off of you. You are it! The only one and it's got to work or you risk losing the man you love.

It is a self help type of book, so if you aren't into those, you may not get this kind of book. But, if you are someone who loves to read self help type of books, this is a really good one, well thought out, and proven techniques that will help you in the long run with your marriage and your mother-in-law.

Happy Reading!

Dear Mr. Knightley Book Review

I have a new book to share with you from a new author called Dear Mr. Knightley written by Katherine Reay.

Synopsis:
Samantha Moore has always hidden behind the words of others—namely, her favorite characters in literature. Now, she will learn to write her own story—by giving that story to a complete stranger.
Sam is, to say the least, bookish. An English major of the highest order, her diet has always been Austen, Dickens, and Shakespeare. The problem is, both her prose and conversation tend to be more Elizabeth Bennet than Samantha Moore.
But life for the twenty-three-year-old orphan is about to get stranger than fiction. An anonymous, Dickensian benefactor (calling himself Mr. Knightley) offers to put Sam through Northwestern University’s prestigious Medill School of Journalism. There is only one catch: Sam must write frequent letters to the mysterious donor, detailing her progress.
As Sam’s dark memory mingles with that of eligible novelist Alex Powell, her letters to Mr. Knightley become increasingly confessional. While Alex draws Sam into a world of warmth and literature that feels like it’s straight out of a book, old secrets are drawn to light. And as Sam learns to love and trust Alex and herself, she learns once again how quickly trust can be broken.
Reminding us all that our own true character is not meant to be hidden, Reay’s debut novel follows one young woman’s journey as she sheds her protective persona and embraces the person she was meant to become.
Sam was very lucky that a benefactor decided to offer to send her to the school to learn to be a journalist and all he wanted in return was for her to write him letters. Throughout her journey while going to school she meets several people who will shape her future.

The Muirs are one of them and they think of Sam as the daughter that they never had. She is touched when they ask if they can adopt her, which at her age is a little strange, but hey, if you need family, then I don't guess it matters when it comes into your life.

Now, Alex has a secret that he is keeping from Sam and as their friendship grows and they bare their souls to each other, will he tell her the truth? And just who is Mr. Knightley, the man who sent her to school and started this wonderful adventure for her?

You will love this book! It's a truly heartwarming story with a awesome ending that will have you cheering from your chair or sofa. It's a must read book!

Poison Makers Book Review

I have a really good mystery/crime drama book to share with you today called Poison Makers written by Jimmy Olsen.

Synopsis:
Not a drug dealer, terrorist or serial killer in sight, but a protagonist, Edgar Espinosa-Jones (EJ), a reader can root for. A story that can be dark, but with uncontrived thrills that provoke both laughter and apprehension. Characters appear from the depth of Haitian Vodoun and Catholic Santo Domingo, and are little different from those who live next door to us, even if some are zombies.
EJ accepts an assignment from his enigmatic mentor Garrett Yancy to investigate the seemly innocent death of U.S. Ambassador to the Dominican Republic, Adam Quist. His first job is to interview one of the Ambassador s daughters at a secret rendezvous in Port-au-Prince, Haiti where he is drawn to her by an uncanny intensity as they travel dark streets toward a forbidden voodoo ceremony.
Soon after, EJ is in terror for his life, running and hiding until he can find nowhere safe and is forced to make his last stand. Live or die. Poison Makers is anything but the usual mystery. Set in the turbulent 1970s, the Caribbean seethes with political intrigue, revolutionaries, superstition, violence and EJ s own tangled love affairs.
With the help of his best friend, a crooked Dominican cop, EJ s split nationality (Dominican/American) and quirky view of life combine to solve the mysteries at whatever cost.
I wasn't too sure of this book in the beginning, but the more I read, the more intrigued I became and it turned out to be a VERY GOOD book!

This is really about voodoo, which is something I have never read before, so it was a good change of pace. Mixed in with it is a little bit of romance, two women who perplex EJ and jet setting between Santo Dominica and the States.

An American Ambassador is dead or maybe a Zombie and who did it? I was sorta really into his daughter, Olivia being the prime person because she is really weird thru this whole book but EJ only seems to think she's lying about how she felt about her father, but later on he starts to doubt even that.

I wasn't sure how she was involved, but I knew she was somehow. The ending is a shocker though, and one I didn't see coming. Both of which is the character of the American Ambassador and why he deserved what he got and Olivia herself.  The only thing I disagree on is the way it ended for the Ambassador.  I would have liked there to have been a trial and him be in his full mental state so he could live thru it and suffer. But, that's just me.

You will love all the twists and turns in this book, even EJ's relationship with his maid, his girlfriend, Sonja and his friendship with Mickey, one of the policemen on the force who helps him out of jams and such. Even his barber has a help in the mystery.  Very complex story with lots of characters to go around.

XLash Eyelash Growth Serum Review

I have a really awesome new lash growth serum to share with you today called Xlash and this one works a little faster than the ones I have used in the past because they give you noticeably longer lashes in just 30 days! Yes, I said 30 days, which believe me, I was not so sure myself when I first started, but they proved to be right on the money.

Oh, before I forget, you can get $10 off until November 23rd by using "XLASH2013" upon checkout! So, if you need something to help your lashes grow or are just about out of yours, get on over there and get your $10 off before the end of tomorrow night! You also will get FREE SHIPPING!

Benefits of using XLash:

  • Your eyelashes will grow naturally by up to 30-40% in just a couple of weeks.
  • The formula has been dermatologically tested and is completely safe to use.
  • Xlash will repair damage caused by chemotherapy, harmful eyelash perms and extensions.
  • You take no risks. We will send you your money back if you are not satisfied.
  • Only a tiny amount is needed every day.

  •

Okay, the top picture is the before picture and the bottom one is the after picture.  Please overlook the no makeup thing as I thought it would be easier to see without the makeup in the way. I think judging by the lines around my eyes and top of nose bridge, I better start using my eye serums more often! What the heck, fix the eyelashes and let the rest go to pot, what's up with that?  Oh, well, sometimes, you just have to make fun of yourself. Old age is creeping up on me!

    Here's how to apply XLash:
  • Apply a thin line of Xlash evenly at the root of the upper eyelashes
  • One stroke with the brush is enough
  • We recommend that you remove all makeup and contact lenses, wash your hands and your face
with a gentle soap and water before you apply Xlash

  • Warning: You may or may not have a slight irritation or sensation of irritation might occur if the product enters the eye. No side effect other than mild irritation have been noted. In case of irritation, rinse the eye and discontinue use of the product.

Here's a list of the Active Ingredients for those who like to know that:
  • Folium Isatidis Extract
  • Cacumen Platycladi Extract
  • Nigella Sativa Extract
  • Fructus Chebulae Extract
  • Radix Polygoni Multiflori Preparata Extract
  • Coral Extract

  • And the best part of all of this is you put XLash on right before you go to bed, so while you are sleeping, it is doing it's magic! I guess you could put it on anytime but it would be less bothersome to you if you did try to do it at night. Less chance of you rubbing your eyes and smearing it. If you are like me, I feel funny knowing something is either in my eye or around my eye and it will bug the crap out of me, so for me, this is the best way to do it.

They offer a 100% Money Back Guarantee if that also makes you feel better about trying their products. I think it always puts your mind to rest knowing you aren't left dangling, don't you? They also do have an XBrow also if you need help with your eyebrows not being fuller or thicker.

    About XLash:
Our team also compared eyelashes and hair on other parts of the body. Eyelashes grow for only three months before they fall out to replace themselves. We knew we needed to develop a substance that would increase their growing time. Soon, it was clear that we didn’t want a perfect mascara anymore.
We wanted something better. To develop an effective but completely allergy-free solution was not an easy task, though. Sweden is known worldwide to be a country with one of the most stringent rules and regulations in terms of quality, safety and health. In the end, with the help of advanced technologies, we managed to separate active ingredients and to manufacture a safe, and synthetic-free eyelash enhancer.
     Xlash serum was born.
In Sweden, it had immediate success. Within a couple of weeks, the product was out of stock in beauty shops all over the country. We were even surprised by the speed with which the rumors spread to other parts of Europe. Retail pre-orders started to fill our e-mail inboxes. A few fashion models and showbiz celebrities pointed to Xlash as their favorite cosmetic item.
Yet, the consequences were inevitable. Imitations sprung up like mushrooms after rain. Luckily, so far we have been able to keep the exact composition secret. Today, Xlash is the only original, 100% effective and absolutely safe product of its kind. In terms of sales, we are No 1 in Europe.
We are confident that over 90% of women will experience growth of their eyelashes within couple of weeks. But exceptions always exist. If you are not happy with Xlash, we will send you your money back.

KO Denmark Beauty Rosehip & Evening Primrose Face Serum

I have a really awesome new face serum to tell you about from a company called KO Denmark and it's their Rosehip & Evening Primrose Face Serum. I don't know if you have ever used either of those natural ingredients before but I have and especially the Evening Primrose. It really does make your face look awesome!

This Face Serum is for Anti-Aging and helps calm dryness and reduce fine lines. The Evening Primrose Oil will help to clear skin and the Rosehip Oil concentration of essential fatty acids, Vitamin E, Vitamin C and B-Carotene, a form of Vitamin A, will help promote cellular metabolism while natural plant oils and floral essences deeply moisturize your skin. This will leave your skin beautifully soft and smooth with a beautiful glow.

This little bottle of Face Serum is very effective and smells like being in a garden! I can't remember the last time I smelled Rosehips and Evening Primrose. I used to have both in my garden until the year both of my knee's had to be replaced and then I never could really get back out there and get down on my knees and work the earth again. My poor garden suffered that next year and my husband definitely wasn't going to do anything. I tried but when I fell and then almost fell another time, it was time to say goodbye. So, this was a really great treat to smell some old scents that I used to have in my garden.

This Serum was quickly absorbed into my skin and the great thing about it even though it's oils, it didn't make my face appear shiny. It gave it a healthy look and I felt like I had gained some of my better days back.  I bet this makes an awesome after shower body oil! Which they do have one, but it's got some different oils than this one in it like Jasmine & Neroli but it does have Rose Oils also, so close enough.

    Directions for Use:

Apply 2-3 drops in the morning and at night to a clean, moist face and neck. Massage in an upward motion.

This Face Serum is 100% natural, has no parabens, no mineral oil, no perfume and no animal ingredients.

    What it does have:

carthamus tinctoorius (safflower) oil, prunus armeniaca (apricot) kernel oil, prunus dulcis (sweet almond) oil, simmondsia chinensis (jojoba) oil, aloe barbadensis (aloe) oil, tocopherol (vitamin e), oenothers biennis (evening primrose) oil, rosa mosqueta (rosehip) oil, rosmarinus officinalis (rosemary) oleoresin, azadirachta indica (neem) oil, jasminum sambac, citrus aurantium (neroli orange blossom), rosa damascene (rose), essential oils.

GRATiAE Cosmetics Replenishing Eye Cream Review

I have a new skincare company to share with you and thought I would start with this informative YouTube video that does a really great job of filling us in on some great points. The company is called GRATiAE Cosmetics (this is the official USA site to order from) and they sent me their Replenishing Eye Cream to review.

Their Replenishing Eye Cream is just like all their other products, it's organic and you can rest assured that they don't use a lot of ingredients such as these:
Artificial Colors, Dioxins, Petrochemicals, Animal derivatives, Petrolatum, Hexane, Phthalates, Sodium Laureth Sulfate or Sodium Lauryl Sulfate, Aluminum and Animal Derived Ingredients.
GRATiAE believes in using the best organic and natural ingredients to enhance beauty and avoid the toxic chemicals and ingredients that interfere with that. And I can't agree more. I have enough medical problems without adding stuff to it.

Someone once asked me why I had stopped doing a lot of the beauty routine that I used to do religiously. I told them that I found that once I quit working and didn't need to put on makeup anymore, that when I did put it on, I noticed that my eyes and nose would water and run constantly. So, I took a step back and realized what I thought was outside allergies or seasonal allergies might actually be coming from the stuff I am putting on my face! I do much better with natural or organic products.

This awesome eye cream combats the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles as well as reduces puffiness and black circles around the eyes. This replenishing eye cream contains a newly developed beneficial blend of thermo-mineral water, restorative natural flora, and organic oats and oil. It re-tones the skin, balances the moisture level, and boosts cell renewal. This jar of eye cream costs $350, so I am not sure I will be able to get another one, so I am enjoying this one to the max!

I love the feel of this creamy texture. It goes on smoothly, with little effort and the most important thing is that it doesn't bother me. It acts very fast and absorbs almost immediately into the skin around my eyes. Our eyes are our most delicate area of our body and I for one am trying my best to pay attention to what it tells me. No more tears will be coming out of my eyes because of a product that I put there, you can count on that!

    Directions for use:

Onto cleansed skin, apply the cream in soft, circular movements until absorbed. For best results, precede the application of the Replenishing Eye Cream with an application of their Replenishing Eye Serum. They recommend the serum, but I don't have it, so I have to skip that part. But if you can, it probably works better if you have both of them at the same time.

Where does the main ingredients come from?
The origins of beauty are hidden from the eye and the most powerful ingredients which are the base of GRATiAE beauty products erupt from underneath the ground. The small mineral-rich thermal spring situated near the Sea of Galilee was discovered centuries ago by the Roman emperor Hadrian who also gave it its name – GRATiAE (grace) after the Three Grace, goddesses of charm, beauty, and fertility in the Roman Mythology.
The springs’ water, that erupt at up to 125°, are rich with therapeutic and rejuvenating properties gained world fame with their amazing effect on the skin, regaining its beauty and youth.
People from all over the world seek the powers of this special spring and bathe in its revitalizing water. GRATiAE—Organic Beauty by Nature— is an anti-aging skin care line that challenges the effects of time on our skin.  Its products include a winning blend of Gratiae’s thermal spring water and its exclusive minerals, flora that is unique to the Sea of Galilee area, and organic plants.
The GRATiAE line is specially designed for both men and women who care about true quality and appreciate natural, organic, and healthy skin-care products. With GRATiAE your skin will glow with health and inner beauty.
You can find a more detailed description of what each ingredient is that they use in their skincare by checking out this LINK. I was going to list them but there are quite a few. It pays to know what you are using, so if you have some time, check it out.

They have a lot more products than just the eye products that I have mentioned. Just like any other skincare line, you can get anything from cleansers to toners to moisturizers and special treatments. They also have products for the body, nails and even men's products. They also have a more aggressive line called Ultrox for more specific needs.

I was looking over their site and saw that they have been in quite a few magazines lately. I thought I recognized the name from Elle, and sure enough, that is where I had seen them before. They have also been in Cosmopolitan, Harper Bazaar and Cosmo Girl.

    Barbara’s Organic Snackimals Cereal Review & Giveaway**Closed**

I have two new cereal's to share with you today from Barbara's called Snackimals Cereal and they come in two flavors, Vanilla Blast and Cinnamon Crunch.

We are a cereal kind of family and we love trying out new flavors so this was a welcome treat for my husband and myself. Yes, we are like two kids when it comes to an awesome cereal. We have been know quite frequently to eat cereal for dinner. Have you ever had those times when nothing seems right or interests you? Well, that is when we just eat cereal, because it takes no time to prepare, no fuss, no big mess to clean up, and it's fast.

We loved the Cinnamon Crunch the best but both were good, we are just Cinnamon lover's so it appealed to us more.

The Cinnamon Crunch is full of flavor and they actually do taste really good! I like when a cereal can hold it's own and doesn't get soggy on me, so that was a major plus for this cereal. The cereal is actually in the shapes of animal crackers! I think that's how it actually got it's name, Snackimals Cereal! We really did enjoy this cereal and the best part is kids love it, too! We had our nieces over one morning and they gave it a thumbs up, too!

    It's also loaded with:
  • Calcium
  • fiber
  • Non-GMO
  • Whole Grains
  • Only 7 g of sugar per serving
  • Organic
  • 110 Calories per serving (3/4 cup)
  • Calories from Fat is 5

  • Ingredients:

Organic Corn Flour; Organic Evaporated Cane Sugar; Organic Whole Grain Corn Flour, Organic Whole Grain Oat Flour, Fructan (NutraFlora®, Natural Dietary Fiber), Organic Oat Hull Fiber, Calcium Carbonate, Organic Cinnamon, Sea Salt, Natural Flavor.

The Vanilla Blast is the one that the nieces actually liked the best and I can see why. I think Vanilla is more a kid flavor because it's what we try to give them when they are little, like Vanilla Ice Cream or Shakes instead of Chocolate. So, I think they accept it better. Most kids I know really aren't into Cinnamon that much, to me that is a more grown up flavor, which is great for us, because we don't have to share!

    Ingredients:

Organic Corn Flour, Organic Evaporated Cane Sugar, Organic Whole Grain Corn Flour, Organic Whole Grain Oat Flour, Fructan (NutraFlora®, Natural Dietary Fiber), Organic Oat Hull Fiber, Calcium Carbonate, Sea Salt, Natural Flavor.

The Vanilla Blast has the same calories, sugar and all the other good stuff that the Cinnamon Crunch did. The ingredients vary slightly because of the flavor, I think. So, whichever one you prefer, it's going to be good for you, no matter what.  You can also add whatever your favorite fruit is to these two cereal's to give it more flavor if you like.

I am a blueberry lover and add it quite often to my cereals while Mike is a strawberry fan. We have tried raspberries a few times, but it's not our number one choice. I imagine you could try other fruits such as raisins or dates but I don't think I would with the Cinnamon, maybe the Vanilla.

They have this really awesome recipe for Cereal Bars that you need to try!
  • 3 cups Snackimals Cereal, Vanilla Blast
  • 1/3 cup dried cranberries
  • 1/4 cup dried blueberries
  • 1/4 cup salted sunflower seeds
  • dash of cinnamon
  • 3 1/2 Tbsp almond butter
  • 3 1/2 Tbsp brown rice syrup
  • 4 Tbsp honey
  • 1 Tbsp light brown sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

  • Here's the directions to make these really cool bars:
  • Preheat the oven to 325 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • Line a square pan with a long piece of parchment paper. The ends of the paper should extend over the pan once the mixture is set inside it.
  • Mix the Snackimals Cereal, cranberries, blueberries, seeds and cinnamon in a large bowl.
  • Place the almond butter, brown rice syrup, honey, brown sugar and vanilla in a small sauce pan.
  • Gently heat to melt the ingredients in the sauce pan, stirring all the while.
  • Pour the melted mixture over the dry ingredients in the bowl.
  • Mix until thoroughly combined.
  • Spread the mixture into the square pan.
  • Press it down with the back of a wooden spoon.
  • Place the pan in the oven and bake for 25 minutes or until the mixture in golden brown.
  • Remove the pan from the oven and press the mixture down flat with the back of a wooden spoon.
  • Allow mixture to cool.
  • Grip the ends of the parchment paper and lift the mixture from the pan.
  • Set it on a cutting board.
  • Cut it into bars or squares with a knife.

  • About Barbara's:
In 1971, when Barbara started our company, the Bay Area was buzzing with young people full of a desire to express their love for all people. The world was changing daily as they created their own paths and sought to turn others onto new directions.
Barbara, then 17, found her calling in real food and opened a small natural bakery in Northern California. She had a simple plan—make wholesome food taste incredibly delicious. Inspired by good health, family and the kitchen table as the cornerstones of the good life, she used whole grains and oats just as nature intended—free from anything artificial.
The bakery exceeded her wildest dreams and grew from a storefront start-up to a thriving wholesale business. Since those first loaves more than 40 years ago, our product offerings have grown to include cereals, snack bars, cookies and cheese puffs.
We carry on Barbara’s commitment to create simple, wholesome and delicious products with the most honest ingredients.
