KNEX Education Building Sets Review & Giveaway**Closed**

I have some more awesome fun building sets from K'NEX Education that you are going to love for your child that will help stimulate his brain and get them thinking about things! I was recently sent 4 different sets of Education products that I think your child that is 9 and over will love tinkering around with!

Here is the list of sets that we got to review:

INVESTIGATING SOLAR  ENERGY #77075
SIMPLE AND COMPOUND MACHINES #77053
EXPLORING WIND & WATER ENERGY #77051
FORCE & NEWTON’S LAWS #77052

The Solar Energy tub is the one at the top of the post and it's chock full of items to help your growing child get the hang of what Solar Energy is and how it all works. There is 128 pieces altogether.

This Building Set will also teach them several things such as:

Go green and bring STEM concepts to life with the K'NEX® Investigating Solar Energy Set! Learn how to harness the energy of the sun into electricity to power K'NEX models. Builds three models and Includes 128 K'NEX parts, solar panel and motor. Building instructions and teacher's guide aligned to National STEM Standards included.

Teacher guide provides a program of study that uses hands-on exploration in conjunction with an engaging inquiry-based approach to learning. Students are encouraged to build, investigate, and evaluate concepts, ideas and designs.

This one is the Force and Newton's Laws Building Set which was a little bit too technical for me and I am hoping that my grandson or our nephew one will be able to grasp this one. I think it's a boy thing so hopefully they will. This one is also made for ages 9 and older. There is 115 pieces in this one.

Set includes 115K'NEX® parts, along with a Battery, Spring and Fly-wheel motor – enough to build 11 vehicles, one at a time. Supports 1-2 students. Grades 5 - 9. Building instructions and comprehensive teacher's guide aligned to Science, Technology, Engineering and Math Standards included. Packaged in a strong storage tub with snap-on lid.

As students engage in the activities, they will be learning, practicing, and applying integrated process skills. Students will be expected to craft fair test procedures, create meaningful data displays, make reasonable and data supported reports, and analyze their collected data in light of the problem at hand. These are just some of the process skills that students must employ as they use the K'NEX® Education Forces, Energy, and Motion Set.

This one is the Simple and Compound Machines Set. This one will help them build simple machines that can actually work in the real world. Wow, I can't believe the things that today's children get to have fun with. I don't think we ever had such great tools when I was growing up!

Set includes 352K'NEX® parts – enough to build 16 fully-functioning replicas of real-world machines, one at a time! Supports 1-2 students. Grades 5 - 9. Building instructions and comprehensive teacher's guide aligned to Science, Technology, Engineering and Math Standards included. Packaged in a strong storage tub with snap-on lid.

STEM Education focuses on science, technology, engineering and mathematics concepts taught through problem-solving, discovery, exploratory learning and critical thinking. STEM Education requires students to be active participants in the learning. K'NEX® models offer hands-on learning opportunities that encourage scientific inquiry, investigation and experimentation. Our inquiry-based lessons challenge students as they build, investigate, problem solve, discuss, and evaluate scientific and design principles in action. Aligned to Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math standards.

Lastly, there is Exploring Wind & Water Energy! I thought this one was probably one of the ones that I would have liked as a girl. Okay, here's the deal about these sets. Since my grandson is only 7, I didn't get to give these to him to build because they are a little bit over his head. So, I am hoping by this next summer when he turns 8 that he will get these better. I wasn't expecting these to be so complicated or else I would have tried.

I normally don't like to use a lot of information from the sponsor's site, but in this case, I had to because I really didn't get to use them like I normally do and to be honest, a lot of this even went over my head! Awful thing to say, I know. Thankfully, when it gets time for him to build these, his father will be able to help because I know I won't be much help. But, if you have a pretty smart kid in your household or one that likes this kind of stimulation, these would make awesome gifts!

Set includes 288 K'NEX® parts – enough to build 6 renewable energy models, two at a time. Supports 1-2 students. Grades 5 - 9. Building instructions & comprehensive teacher's guide aligned to Science, Technology, Engineering and Math Standards included. Packaged in a strong storage tub with snap-on lid. There is 288 pieces in this building set.

I just love the Redfield Ranch Lincoln Logs. I had these when I was a little girl. I played with them for years. They last forever because they are made of real wood. I am so glad these are still around. Thanks for sharing this fun filled review and giveaway with all of us.
