See's Candies Review & Giveaway**Closed**

I know most of you already know about See's Candies from my blogging about them in the past and other blogger's. I did try something new this time instead of getting something I was comfortable with.  Of course, I did get a box of Truffles and then I got the California Brittle. And no, it's not like the Peanut Brittle that you are used to seeing.  Take a look below and see how totally awesome this small square piece of chocolate decadence looks!

Gosh, those are so good! It's Toffee Brittle covered in Milk Chocolate with the almonds I believe. My husband actually ate way more than I did. There wasn't much left by the time he got thru!  Of course, I knew I would love them because I have always been a Toffee fan. I have had some bad ones in the past but these are beyond delicious, they are downright sinful.

Now, look at how many you get in a box! We have actually been pretty good about pacing ourselves and we still have about 5 or 6 pieces left. They are very filling and rich, so I don't think you could eat two of them, it would be too much or at least for me it is. If you like crunchy on the inside and milk chocolate on the outside, then you will fall in love with the California Brittle.

And here is the box of Truffles that we got! I have to admit, this one emptied out first. But not by much. I think Mike and I both had one piece each this past weekend and that finished it up. I was a little surprised to see him eat the Dark Chocolate ones because he always used to complain that they taste blah. But, even the dark chocolate came off being decadent and so very chocolaty.

We even liked the white chocolate, which in the past, I have tried to steer clear of. Just had the crazy notion it would taste too much like vanilla or butter.  Well, I better take that back. Mike didn't eat either one of the white chocolates, I did.  So, there is still some things he won't touch.

They are made with the best dairy-fresh butter, heavy cream, real fruit, and their famous chocolate. There are several different sizes that you can get the Truffles in if you prefer something smaller. And they do have several specialty Truffles such as Egg Nog, Pecan Pie and Cranberry Orange. I haven't tried any of them but the Pecan Pie sounds interesting.

Here's a few Christmas gift ideas:

They also have stuffing stuffers if you need to think even smaller. But, they are also able to think big and have some really nice Executive Baskets and Towers that would delight anyone who works in an office environment and you can't buy everybody something, then I would just get a big basket and fill it up with goodies and take it to the office or wherever you work, and say Merry Christmas to everyone and let them pick what they like the best.

And of course, their products are not just limited to the holidays. You can use them for Birthdays, Graduations, Anniversaries, Weddings, etc. You get the idea. Try something different each time you order because you won't be sorry. I know we have had some fun sampling all of this.

About See's Candies:
Throughout the history of See's Candies, Mary See has symbolized the old-fashioned virtues of homemade quality and friendly service. The spectacled, silver haired woman still smiles with pride from candy boxes shipped throughout the world, and her original recipes are savored by millions to this day.

When Charles See arrived in Los Angeles from Canada in 1921 to try his hand at the confection business, he decided that no image would better reflect the personality of his fledgling venture than that of his mother. Apart from using her recipes as a foundation, See knew that keeping things in the family was the only way to bring about the kind of lovingly crafted product he desired.

See along with his mother and his wife, Florence, opened the first See's Candies shop and kitchen on Western Avenue in Los Angeles in November of 1921. The sparkling clean, black and white shop was designed to resemble Mary See's home kitchen.

Benefiting from the wide acceptance of an unusually high quality candy, See's was able to grow steadily from that first shop in Los Angeles to twelve shops by the mid-1920's and thirty shops during the depression. By 1936, See's was able to expand to San Francisco.
Mary See died in 1939 at the age of 85, but the company's ability to adjust to changing times - without abandoning the passion for quality and service that Mary See represented - kept it going strong throughout the decades to come.
