Qi Orthopedic Pillow Review

I recently got to review a really awesome new kind of pillow for mine and Mike's back pain called a Qi Orthopedic Pillow that is featured on QVC and where you can buy it. Now, I have to tell you that it comes deflated and it took us awhile to find something to pump it up so that we could use it but once we did, it truly was amazing.
Product Details:
**Size: 18" x 18"
**Colour: camel or sage
**Cover materials: Mirco-Suede
**Engineered in Canada

Proven health benefits:

**Improves sitting posture
**Better rejuvenation
**Superior portability
**Super easy to use
**Low maintenance
**Low cost
**3 year warranty
I am showing you their picture because my camera wasn't catching the pillow correctly and it made it look flat and they are definitely not flat! Well, they are when they aren't inflated but once you get the air pumped in, they will fill out and be much more fuller like this one above. We did get the Sage colored pillow.
As you can see, there is a tube like thing that sticks out and that is where you have to inflate the pillow. We finally had to go to Home Depot and get one of those small pumping things to get the air in our pillow. There might be an easier way but it was the only thing we could think of at the time. I sure do hope it doesn't come undone! Wouldn't that be hilarious?
Here are the key benefits:
**Clinically proven to help 91% of back pain sufferers reduce back stiffness, pain or fatigue.
**Helps improve sitting posture and comfort wherever you sit, at work, home, in cars and on airplanes.
**Instantly customizable to suit any users individual body, seat and comfort.
**Unlike ordinary pillows, never collapses under any body weight
**Easy to use and care, with detachable and washable premium micro-suede cover
**It’s this inner core that makes QiPillow viable as an option to treat back pain. The core provides dynamic tension and, when positioned against the small of the back, reduces or eliminates the pain or fatigue you get from sitting for long periods.

Mike used the pillow the most because he has to get up every day and go to work while I can stay home and catch up on my sleep while he's gone. Of course, I am not sure how much longer he will be able to hold out. His job is really getting hard for him and we are just hoping he has at least another 5 years in him before he has enough time to take early retirement.

He uses it at night when he comes home and has to sit at his computer and study. He is trying to get a different kind of job within the company and get out from doing the outside work. He does a lot of strenuous outside work and we are hoping that an inside job will help him. I sure do hope so! The chair below is pretty close to the one we have in the office and you can see how the pillow fits into the chair.

How does QiPillow differ from ordinary pillows?
**In a word: support. QiPillow is far more than an ordinary pillow. It provides scientifically tested orthopedic back support for people of all shapes and sizes.
**The QiPillow has been proven in a third party clinical study to help 91% of back pain sufferers relieve their back stiffness, pain and fatigue, and improve their sitting posture and comfort.
**Like a Sleep Number bed, it uses an air controlled orthopedic core to provide the much needed dynamic and individualized support to your back.
**Unlike ordinary pillows, QiPillow does not collapse under bodyweight and will help you to maintain the correct posture.
**With QiPillow, your back support will always adjust to your body, seat and comfort, instead of the other way round.  There is nothing quite like it in the world.
I didn't know some of these interesting facts and I bet you didn't either. Take a look:
*According to the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons, 30% of American adults are afflicted by low back pain. That means if you know three people, one of them is probably in pain. Americans spend $200 billion a year treating back pain. QiPillow is affordable, attractive, and functional.
*According to the Workers Safety and Insurance Board, simply sitting – without proper support -- is the leading cause for back pain, second only to heavy weight lifting.
*Unsupported sitting is damaging your back each time you sit, at work, at home, in cars. QiPillow corrects that by providing dynamic support to your back.
It really is starting to make sense that maybe we need to have several of these pillows in our house! I guess Mike needs one to sit with and so do I with all of the blogging that I do. Maybe I should ask for one of these for Christmas? Well, we might have to share this one for awhile. With me not working it's hard enough and Mike had to give up working OT to get the things we need so we have had to budget even more lately. I can only imagine how much more we will have to budget next year with the medical bills up in the air. We are trying to save as much as we can and not buy anything unless we absolutely have to. For now, Mike comes first and I will just have to make do.
But, if you have some of these back issues, I would suggest that you at least try this pillow out and see if it helps you. Shoot, it's worth the effort to get even 50% less back pain!

This pillow looks like it would work really good for back support. I have had a history of back pain and surgery over many years and I think this pillow might help. It would come in really handy in the car especially Susan Broughton elaineb1@ymail.com
