Laughing Man Coffee Review

I recently had the pleasure of reviewing some really awesome coffee from Laughing Man Coffee. They were very nice to send me three different kinds to review and my husband and I had a blast drinking some of Hugh Jackman's famous coffee!

This is what we reviewed:

1.)  Home Blend
2.)  Mocha Java
3.)  Dukale's Dream Espresso

I wanted to share some tips from Laughing Man Coffee:
  1. Taking small sips of coffee in 30 minute or one hour intervals can increase your ability to focus and stay alert.
  2. Moderating coffee consumption might decrease some risks of heart problems, type-2 diabetes, and colon cancer.
  3. Watch out — drinking too much coffee might leave you feeling nervous or irritable.
  4. Over-caffeination can be dangerous and might cause heart problems and muscle tremors.
  5. Coffee’s great but so is a good night’s rest! Moderation is the key.

Okay, we started with Home Blend because I knew it would be our favorite and it's not a wild kind of coffee to begin with. I like coffee but I don't like strong or bitter coffee so I guess you could say I am a neutral kind of coffee drinker while my husband is the bold one who will drink just about any kind as long as it tastes good!
This is Laughing Man's description and I pretty much agree:
This Latin American blend draws on the rich diversity of flavor and body that the regions have to offer. We created a taste that is rich with distinctive chocolate, fruit, and floral flavors for a bright wake up a call, and a full body feel to give you that morning strength you need. This will be your go-to coffee that will never let you down.
I knew I would like it when I read that part about being my go to morning cup of coffee and they were 100% right. If you love a good cup but not something that will knock you for a loop, then this is the one for you. This one is definitely a keeper!
Oh, by the way, we got all three coffee's in whole beans, not ground. I do that because it takes us awhile to drink coffee and ground coffee doesn't last as long as whole beans. We only grind enough for a few cups at a time and that is perfect for us.
Now, with Mocha Java, I knew Mike would balk at this one since he is not a chocolate flavored kind of coffee drinker but hey, I knew that and wanted a coffee that was all mine. So, this is it! I love Mocha Java when I buy it while I am out and about and decided it was time to get my own. Laughing Man's Mocha Java is a real treat and if you love a nice smooth chocolate taste, then this is the one for you.
Laughing Man's description and right on:
Medium body with pleasant complexity. Chocolate-covered bing cherries, roses, subtle citrus. Nutty, rustic finish.
I had to grab their picture because dumb me when I went to grab my picture instead of hitting download I hit delete! So, I didn't want to stop while I was on a roll so I just grabbed theirs. This is Dukale's Dream and it is an Espresso.
Okay, here we did something that might make an Espresso fan a tad upset but like I said in the beginning, we aren't really REAL bold coffee drinkers and I was afraid this would be very bold and so we cut in half the amount that it said to put in the Espresso maker. Yes, we have one but hardly ever use it!
Instead, we put it in the single cup Keurig and made a regular cup of coffee. And I am hear to tell you that it makes one HECK of an AWESOME cup of regular coffee! So, if you are an Espresso person, I imagine this would make your day double times what we experienced as a coffee drinker. This is too precious to package just as an Espresso, someone might want to include somewhere in the directions how to make it a cup of coffee if so inclined.
Laughing Man's description of Dukale's Dream:
A promise to Dukale, an Ethiopian coffee farmer and a close friend, inspired Laughing Man and our dream that ALL BE HAPPY. So while our espresso is balanced, velvety, and bright, we sometimes describe it in the same way we describe Dukale . . . hard working and friendly.
I can honestly say that we loved the three bags that we received and they have so many more to choose from! I feel very honored to help Hugh Jackman and his team spread the word about their awesome coffee and teas and even a hot chocolate among other things.
Check out how it all started on this video:

I never would have guessed Hugh Jackman had something to do with coffee until I read this. This sounds like it is honestly good stuff. I like the name/packaging also. I will have to look for this to try :-)
