Butterfly Bakery Angel Food Cake & Chocolate Chip Loaf Review

I recently got to try some bakery items that were Sugar Free and/or Gluten Free from a bakery called Butterfly Bakery
I was sent an Angel Food Cake and a Chocolate Chip Loaf to review. They must change out what they make because I have been searching for these items on their site for a few days and haven't found them, so they may be available in a store near you if they aren't on the website.
As you can see, my husband, didn't wait for me to take a picture of this Angel Food Cake! He cut a slice w/o realizing I hadn't taken my pictures yet, but that is okay. He is so impatient when it comes to goodies!
The Angel Food Cake was actually quite good. I don't even know if Angel Food Cake is even made with sugar to begin with but it might be. I have never paid any attention. I just assumed that they were all Sugar Free because of the fact that they are a diet cake or that is how I always viewed them because everyone always said to eat a piece of Angel Food Cake instead of a real cake to get your sugar craving. I could be totally wrong, but that was just my impression.
This cake was definitely soft, moist and springy to the touch. It looks pretty good, doesn't it? It was baked to perfection and had a very pleasant taste. You know most Sugar Free cakes will have a taste later on but this one didn't. It was just as good on the last bite as it was on the first bite!
Then we also got this Chocolate Chip Loaf Cake that was also very surprising good. Even my husband thought that it was a regular cake. I didn't tell him any different until after he tasted it. I knew if I told him ahead of time that he wouldn't try it. And really, it is not noticeable at all.
This cake was also very moist and very soft. I am a firm believer in soft cakes. I don't like the ones that get firmer because they weigh me down and then upsets my stomach, so the lighter a cake or cookie is, the better I like it. This was a No Sugar Added item, although, I couldn't find any loaf cakes on their site at the moment.
All of their baked goods are SUGAR FREE, NO SUGAR ADDED and GLUTEN FREE baked goods will turn your dietary restriction into a dietary indulgence.
How did they get started?
In 1998 founder and CEO Brenda Isaac had a dream to create sugar free baked goods that her diabetic mother could enjoy. And so Butterfly Bakery was born. Sugar free eaters, calorie counters, gluten intolerants and skeptics agree, once you taste the rich creamy distinctive taste of Butterfly Bakery you will never turn back.
Our Sugar Free and No Sugar Added baked goods are sweetened with milk based lactitol, for a rich and creamy taste with no digestive side effects. For Gluten Free we use whole grain Teff flour: Naturally sweet, light and moist, full of potassium and fiber. What makes our cakes, muffins, cupcakes and cookies so good? It’s love, baked right in.
It looks like they make birthday cakes too! I found out that they make the cakes and then send you the icing separate so you can decorate it the way you want! You can freeze their products up to 6 months if you need to. If you leave them out on the table or counter, they will only last about 5 days except for cookies, which will last up to 30 days.
When you purchase 2 Butterfly products, you will get this $2.00 Butterfly Bucks Back Rebate to use the next time you order from them online.
They do make muffins and these are the Double Chocolate Chip ones! I wanted you to see that they do have some chocolate products so don't be shy if that is your preferred sweet, because I know it sure is mine!
