Barbara’s Organic Snackimals Cereal Review & Giveaway**Closed**

I have two new cereal's to share with you today from Barbara's called Snackimals Cereal and they come in two flavors, Vanilla Blast and Cinnamon Crunch.
We are a cereal kind of family and we love trying out new flavors so this was a welcome treat for my husband and myself. Yes, we are like two kids when it comes to an awesome cereal. We have been know quite frequently to eat cereal for dinner. Have you ever had those times when nothing seems right or interests you? Well, that is when we just eat cereal, because it takes no time to prepare, no fuss, no big mess to clean up, and it's fast.
We loved the Cinnamon Crunch the best but both were good, we are just Cinnamon lover's so it appealed to us more.
The Cinnamon Crunch is full of flavor and they actually do taste really good! I like when a cereal can hold it's own and doesn't get soggy on me, so that was a major plus for this cereal. The cereal is actually in the shapes of animal crackers! I think that's how it actually got it's name, Snackimals Cereal! We really did enjoy this cereal and the best part is kids love it, too! We had our nieces over one morning and they gave it a thumbs up, too!

It's also loaded with:
  • Calcium
  • fiber
  • Non-GMO
  • Whole Grains
  • Only 7 g of sugar per serving
  • Organic
  • 110 Calories per serving (3/4 cup)
  • Calories from Fat is 5

  • Ingredients:

Organic Corn Flour; Organic Evaporated Cane Sugar; Organic Whole Grain Corn Flour, Organic Whole Grain Oat Flour, Fructan (NutraFlora®, Natural Dietary Fiber), Organic Oat Hull Fiber, Calcium Carbonate, Organic Cinnamon, Sea Salt, Natural Flavor.

The Vanilla Blast is the one that the nieces actually liked the best and I can see why. I think Vanilla is more a kid flavor because it's what we try to give them when they are little, like Vanilla Ice Cream or Shakes instead of Chocolate. So, I think they accept it better. Most kids I know really aren't into Cinnamon that much, to me that is a more grown up flavor, which is great for us, because we don't have to share!

Organic Corn Flour, Organic Evaporated Cane Sugar, Organic Whole Grain Corn Flour, Organic Whole Grain Oat Flour, Fructan (NutraFlora®, Natural Dietary Fiber), Organic Oat Hull Fiber, Calcium Carbonate, Sea Salt, Natural Flavor.

The Vanilla Blast has the same calories, sugar and all the other good stuff that the Cinnamon Crunch did. The ingredients vary slightly because of the flavor, I think. So, whichever one you prefer, it's going to be good for you, no matter what.  You can also add whatever your favorite fruit is to these two cereal's to give it more flavor if you like.
I am a blueberry lover and add it quite often to my cereals while Mike is a strawberry fan. We have tried raspberries a few times, but it's not our number one choice. I imagine you could try other fruits such as raisins or dates but I don't think I would with the Cinnamon, maybe the Vanilla.
They have this really awesome recipe for Cereal Bars that you need to try!

  • About Barbara's:
In 1971, when Barbara started our company, the Bay Area was buzzing with young people full of a desire to express their love for all people. The world was changing daily as they created their own paths and sought to turn others onto new directions.
Barbara, then 17, found her calling in real food and opened a small natural bakery in Northern California. She had a simple plan—make wholesome food taste incredibly delicious. Inspired by good health, family and the kitchen table as the cornerstones of the good life, she used whole grains and oats just as nature intended—free from anything artificial.
The bakery exceeded her wildest dreams and grew from a storefront start-up to a thriving wholesale business. Since those first loaves more than 40 years ago, our product offerings have grown to include cereals, snack bars, cookies and cheese puffs.
We carry on Barbara’s commitment to create simple, wholesome and delicious products with the most honest ingredients.
