Redmond Real Salts & Bath Salts Review & Giveaway**Closed**

I have finally wrapped up my reviews and giveaways with the Redmond products by saving the Real Salts and the one Bath Salt that I was given to try and offer as a giveaway. I have to say this was my first experience with Redmond and all the vast array of products that they have to offer and I can safely say that they have all been absolutely wonderful! I never even knew this company existed until I started reviewing all of these awesome products and it has been an absolute pleasure!

I was sent to review these salts:

1.)  Fine Salt (Nature's First Sea Salt)
2.)  Organic Natural Garlic Salt
3.)  Organic Natural Season Salt
4.)  Redmond Bath Salt

Let's start with the Fine Salt first. I loved the texture of this salt and the fact that it was indeed very fine and light. It gave my foods just the right touch and never tasted too salty. Of course, my husband loves salt and I learned long time ago to stop putting salt in our food while cooking because he never tastes food before he adds more salt!! So, needless to say, his food got double dosing of salt until I stopped adding it while cooking. Now, we both get what we want without all the drama.

Here's what I found out about Real Salt:
Real Salt comes from an ancient sea bed in Central Utah, where for more than 30 years we've delivered completely natural sea salt -- nothing added, nothing taken away. That means you get more than 60 trace minerals in a delicious, healthy salt that is never chemically treated, bleached, or kiln dried.
Real Salt is real, authentic salt. Unrefined, full of flavor and naturally-occurring minerals, Real Salt is salt exactly as nature made it.
The salts come in several different sizes, I got the 10 oz. size but there is also a 26 oz. pouch,  4.75 shaker and a 2 oz shaker. They actually have quite a list of restaurants around the country who put the 10 oz. on their tables! I will have to pay more attention the next time I am out eating to see if I can spot their Real Salt!

I found out some other interesting facts:

A quick glance at the ingredients label on most salts might surprise you! Many salts contain anti-caking agents and even dextrose (sugar). Others have been heat processed and stripped of their natural trace minerals. Real Salt brand, on the other hand, is unrefined and full of natural minerals and flavor – the way salt was meant to be savored.

Also, I could go on and on about the things that I learned, but I thought you would better understand the difference between Real Salt and other salts by listening to this YouTube video and hear it for yourself. Check this out!

Let's move on to the Garlic Salt now that you have watched the video above.

Another salt that we use a lot around here is Garlic Salt. I love that Redmond's brand is organic and natural. We use Garlic Salt in all of our Italian dishes and even in some soups depending on what flavor I am trying to achieve. Between regular salt and Garlic Salt, I would say these are our 2 biggest types of salt that we use the most here at home.
Here's what they say about their Garlic Salt:

Real Salt’s Organic Garlic Salt is a combination of RealSalt and organic garlic. Now you can enjoy the great taste of RealSalt together with a hearty garlic flavor you’ll love!  (Kosher Certified by OU)

* Please note: these are Kosher Certified, but are not Certified Kosher for Passover.

Now, I don't know about most of you, but when I am in a bind and need to make something really quick but tasty, I rely on an all around seasoning and Redmond's Natural Organic Season salt fit the bill perfectly! It has a combination of several spices mixed in with their awesome salt to make the perfect combination that is truly great and tastes good in a variety of soups or stews.
Here's a list of the spices that are in the Organic Season Salt:

Real Salt, Organic Onion, Organic Corriander, Organic Mustard, Organic Black Pepper, Organic Paprika, Organic Celery Seed, Organic Tumeric, & Organic Parsley.

See what I mean about having all the goodies in one bottle? I love cooking with Tumeric and was happy to see it included in this Season Salt. It's one of the spices I try to add to as many foods as possible because it's a great anti-inflammation fighter against inflammation and because I have RA and Fibromyalgia, I just think it's a no brainer to add it to my food. And it tastes so darn good, especially in tomato based foods.

I hope that between what I have said and the video above that you will give Real Salt a try and see for yourself how great their products are. It will be good for your body and taste good all at the same time!

Lastly, I got to try Redmond's Bath Salt Plus! The difference between other bath salts and this one is that there is no additives added into the bath salts. You can get the regular bath salts or the bath salts plus, the only difference being that more trace minerals are added in the bath salt plus. Your skin will love the attention! My skin was smooth and felt awesome but the best part was that my body felt good.
As you all know, I have RA and Fibromyalgia and anytime I find something that can help with the achiness in my joints, I try it. While it's not a remedy, it can provide some temporary relief. But, to be on the safe side, check with your doctor before trying anything new. I don't know your medical history and there might be something I don't know about you specifically. I would rather you be on the safe side than sorry later on.

  • Here are some questions and answers that Redmond supplied:

How does Redmond Bath Salt promote better health?
Due to the abundance of natural trace minerals in our salt, Redmond Bath Salt provides healing properties for the skin and body. Toxins are released from the body into the bath water through osmosis, while trace minerals from the sea salt are absorbed through the skin.

Are there any additives in Redmond Bath Salt?
All of the minerals in Redmond Bath Salt are naturally occurring. Most bath salts on the market today have oils and fragrances added to them (which may cause allergic reactions) and often times leave an oily residue around the rim of the tub. Our bath salt, on the other hand, is so natural, you can eat it!

How much Redmond Bath Salt should I use? Using 1/2 a cup of Redmond Bath Salt per bath can effectively draw out toxins and help re-mineralize the body. Some spa experts suggest using up to two cups of natural mineral salt per bath and soaking for 30 minutes.

For Maximum Effect The salt concentration has to be at least the same as the one of your body fluids (approximately 1%) to activate the osmotic exchange ratio. The formula for a 1% solution is 1.28 ounces of salt per gallon of water.

Since a full tub normally takes from 27 – 32 gallons of water, 2.5 pounds of natural salt is required.

Why is there reddish sediment in my tub after using Redmond Bath Salt? In our Redmond Bath Salts you will find more than 60 natural trace minerals. The residue left on the floor of the tub comes from these natural minerals. The Redmond Bath Salt Plus will leave even more sediment than the Redmond Bath Salt, all of which can be washed safely down the drain.
