I have a great little mystery book for you to read called Love, Music, Murder written by Elizabeth M. Garner.
Alise Kelley, restaurateur, enjoys running her little café in midtown Sacramento, after a wild career as a world-traveling folk musician. Then Alise’s ex-husband, French pop star Étienne Le Goff, is murdered in his hotel room at the elegant Governor Hotel, while on tour in Sacramento. Can Alise help handsome Sacramento Police Detective Nick Lozado catch a murderer?Wow, this book was full of suspects! Who would have thought that someone could have so many people that might want him dead!
Alise did not know that her ex-husband was not really her ex-husband. He had never gotten the divorce and when he was killed she found out that he had left everything to her, which was millions of dollars!
Alise told the lawyers she did not want any of it, to divide it up between his family and a woman that she found out was pregnant and thought it might be his baby but after more digging, it was discovered that it belonged to someone else.
There were a lot of other bad characters on the list and Alise was stunned to find out that her ex-husband was worth so much money, to the tune of $20 million! The police at first thought maybe she was a suspect because of that money but her detective friend, Nick helped clear her name.
Will Alise and Nick have a shot? Who really killed her ex-husband? Does she keep any of the money in the end?
Read the book and find out!
