Harry Says Book Review

I have a really cute little book to share with you that is all about making you laugh! It's called Harry Says, Boss Talk without the Warm Fuzzies written by Bruce Feldman.

Synopsis:

Harry Says is a refreshingly candid glimpse into the mind of a successful boss. If you manage people, you will probably find yourself nodding in agreement and laughing at some of Harry's observations. If you prefer books that offer modern management theories on team-building and empowerment, you will probably be shocked by much of what Harry has to say. On the other hand, Harry's candor might just offer new perspectives on the age-old problems of being a boss.

A few Excerpts:
"There is something about the urge to be your own boss that overrides the rational mind."
"We shouldn't have to hire anybody who doesn't come with a money back guarantee."
"A bad idea is not a contribution to problem solving."
"Every boss dreams of hiring somebody who is at least far-sighted enough to occasionally hesitate when they might be about to do something wrong and ask for instructions."

"Can't is a widely accepted concept."

"Don't expect your employees to act like partners when you are paying them like employees."

About the Author:
Bruce Feldman is an award-winning writer of movies for television, an editor and co-publisher of a small press. Bruce learned a lot from Harry over the years of their friendship. So when Harry's battered little notebook full of sharp and funny insights arrived, he knew he wanted to find a way to share it with other bosses. Harry Says is the result, a sharp, wise and funny book that anyone who's ever been a boss will relate to.

The book is a collection of what he terms the Boss Talk without the Warm Fuzzies. If you have a Boss like that, then you need this book so that you can chuckle at what he or she perceives to be funny.

I laughed at quite a few of them and I think you will too! This book was too good to keep and let it sit on a bookshelf. So, I am going to give this to one reader who will enjoy the humor as much as I did!

Open in the U.S. only. Good Luck Everyone!
