We recently got to review a really awesome holiday sweater for Charlie from FouFou Dog! I had a choice between the black one and this red one and while black might have been a boy dog color, it just didn't seem like Christmas to me if it were any other color than red! The sweater itself is made of a really thick material and I love the little patch on the bottom that says FouFou Dog, as you can see above.
Now, what do you think? He's being a perfect little Angel right now, sitting down so good for me to take this behind picture. Of course, Mike is standing in front of him keeping his attention or I probably wouldn't have gotten this really good shot! Oh, and if you see the small hole at the top, that is where the leash hooks in with the collar.
As you can see, this fits pretty good on him. We did give them the length of his back and that was how they knew what size to send. I did add just a bit to the measure because I would rather it be a little too big than to be too small. Plus, Mike is bad about throwing things in the dryer without looking to see if it suppose to be hung dry or in the dryer so I also allow for his mistakes in doing the laundry. It does say on the inside that this sweater should washed in cold water and be line dried or lain flat to dry. Mike would have shrunk this sweater for sure!
I didn't realize until after we took these pictures how bad his hair had grown in front of his eyes, so he got a haircut a few days later. That is about the only place where his hair grows the fastest and the rest of his body is nowhere near ready to get groomed so I try to keep that area cut myself but it looks like I fell behind in my job! But, he is still cute as a button, especially in his official Christmas sweater from FouFou Dog!
He actually got used to the sweater after awhile and didn't mind it. It's only when I put tighter fitting clothes on him that I have a problem so that was another reason why I got this a tad bigger than what they say he would normally wear. This is the right size for him to be comfortable in and not be trying to get out of it!
They have several other items for the holidays that you can choose from on their site, so go over and take a quick look. Like I said earlier, you could have gotten this in the color black also.
They also had this to choose from also but because I knew Charlie would not tolerate this much clothing on, I passed on this and got the red sweater instead. You can get this in black also. It does look really cute but it would have been too much for Charlie. He would have struggled with this one and not been a happy camper.
They also have some really cute Christmas toys for your pet also along with a Santa suit and a Reindeer suit that would have been really cute! I also saw a collection of Holiday Charms that would have been cute on his leash for a little decoration.
All in all, I am very happy with what I chose and can't wait to take some Christmas pictures with Charlie by the tree! He gets just as excited as a child does because he knows it's time for presents, and yes he knows exactly what those words mean. Every Christmas, we say those words and point to the presents and he goes bananas! He does try to open them and when his is all opened, he will come and try to help us open ours. (I hate to admit this, but my husband is right, he is very spoiled!)
