Big Green Egg Dizzy Gourmet Seasonings Review

I have a truly awesome new rub to share with you and if you are a big fan of grilling out, then you will definitely want to hear about all the flavors that Big Green Egg has come up with to compliment their cooking and grilling machines. I was sent the Simply Zensational flavor to try in the Dizzy Gourmet Seasonings.

Here is what is in my Simply Zensational:  spices, demerara sugar, salt, sesame seeds, paprika, onion and garlic! (this is more like an Asian type flavor) The jars that they send are what makes this a totally great deal! They are 12.4 ounces! That is a really big jar of seasoning and should last you a good while.

I have to admit, I am a huge fan of all of these seasonings except for sesame seeds but they blend in so well with the other flavors that all it does is give your meat, chicken or even fish an awesome flavor. We tried it on chicken and it was very good. Even Charlie our Yorkie got a few little bites and he ate every last bite.

The exotic galangal, ginger and sesame give this blend a special zing to complement the subtle flavors of seafood, poultry and vegetables. Varieties of ginger and galangal with sesame seeds, spices and a hint of unrefined demerara sugar deliver a unique flavor experience.

There is none of these ingredients in the seasonings:

**no preservatives
**nothing artificial
**no bad karma
**no msg
**no gluten
There are a total of 6 flavors in the Dizzy Gourmet Seasonings. The Simply Zensational is one of the three mild ones. Thank Goodness! I don't do well with medium or hot. There are 2 Medium Seasonings and only 1 Hot one. They all sound good in their own right for what they were designed to do but I have to admit that I like the one I got pretty good because it is versatile to use with a lot of different foods.
There is one that I thought sounded really good and that was the Cosmic Cow, which as you can tell from the name is more likely to be used on hamburgers, steaks or ribs. Which is the three things that Mike loves the most, so it would fit right in with our eating habits.
Here's a chart that shows what seasoning might go with what food:

I don't know where my mind was the day that we grilled out with the chicken and used the Dizzy Gourmet Simply Zensational so I can't show you how perfect they came out and no, we did not have a Big Green Egg cooker, it was just a small charcoal grill. So, just imagine how awesome it would have been if we had the whole nine yards!

But, seriously, the chicken was tender, tasted really good and very moist. One thing about chicken and that is if you get chicken dry, it can be the worst taste ever! Also, these are new products so I was among a select few to try them out. It is very rare that I get to be the one trying something that "new" out and it was really awesome to spread the word on how great they tasted!

These are some unique combinations, I like this! I see at Penzey's their spice combinations and I'm tempted to try them, but they are a little pricey. These would make a nice gift!
