Brownie Brittle Review & Giveaway**Closed**

I have an awesome new snack item I found one day and decided it sounded so good that I had to try it! And boy, am I glad I did! It's something a little different, especially for me since I love my brownies soft and chewy.  They are called Brownie Brittle and they are made by a company called Sheila G's.
They sent me 4 delicious flavors to try:
1)  Chocolate Chip
2)  Chocolate Mint
3)  Toffee Crunch
4)  Salted Caramel
Let's start with the one that my husband and I both thought was our favorite, Chocolate Mint. Gosh, this was so incredibly good! If you love mint tasting chocolate, then this one is going to rock your boat just like it did ours.
These are like really crunchy cookies but taste like brownies! I don't know how she figured out how to get this done, but wow, if you are a brownie lover, this is going to have you thinking you just hit the jackpot! They are loaded with lots of chocolate flavors and then she added mint and took it to a whole new level. We have always loved mint flavored chocolates and combining these two together was a stroke of genius!  They are also just 120 calories per ounce!
My next favorite was the Toffee Crunch. Gosh, I have always loved Toffee flavored anything to be honest and then when I tasted this Brownie Brittle in the Toffee Crunch, I was in heaven! If you also love Toffee as much as I do, this will be your favorite. The chocolate flavor is always going to come first but the Toffee Crunch isn't far behind!
Now, here is where you will get twice the flavor of chocolate when Chocolate Chip meets Chocolate Brownie and boy, does it ever explode with chocolate! This one was so additive, I found myself mindlessly eating one right after another, almost to the point of being stuffed and I still did not want to stop. This has it all, extra double the chocolate and you will be in bliss!
Okay, this one, the Salted Caramel is just as good as the other three, it's just not my personal favorite. I don't really care for salt and chocolate to be in the same snack that I prefer to eat, especially chocolate. Now, my husband loved it and that's because he loves salt but see, I don't. I would have been happy with just Caramel & Chocolate but he actually loved it. It's just as good as the others, it's just what my taste buds like. My husband says if you like your snacks to be salty, then you will love this one!
Here's a little bit about Sheila G and how she started Brownie Brittle:
In 1992, Sheila G. Mains, better known in the food business as Sheila G, took a treasured family recipe for fudge brownies and baked her way into a thriving business. You may even have tasted one of her rich, dense squares of heaven at some of our nation’s finest restaurants and theme parks. So, where exactly did the inspiration for her scrumptious new Brownie Brittle™ snack come from?
Like many brownie aficionados, Sheila is particularly fond of the crispy edges. In fact, on many an afternoon she would walk through the bakery gathering the crispy batter off the sides of the sheet pans as the brownies cooled in their racks. It had that same rich chocolate taste, but with an amazing crunch. That started her wondering: How could she create a whole pan of crunchy edges? Well, lucky for us, she figured it out! Now you too can satisfy your sweet tooth in a snap with Sheila G’s Brownie Brittle™ snacks!
I have to share this recipe I found on her site called Cheesecake and Eggnog Brownie Brittle Bars that are made with her Brownie Brittle! Don't they look awesome?
  • 1 Stick of butter
  • 2 Cups Brownie Brittle crumbs
  • 2 pkg cream cheese (8oz) softened
  • ½ Cup sugar
  • 1 TBL flour
  • ½ Cup eggnog
  • 2 Eggs
  • ½ Cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • Nutmeg to sprinkle on top

  • Steps
  • Mix 1 stick of melted butter with 2 Cups of Brownie Brittle crumbs.
  • Press into a greased 9 x 13 pan and Bake for 8 min at 350°
  • Mix cream cheese, sugar, flour, eggnog, and eggs together.
  • Add chocolate chips.
  • Pour over crust.
  • Bake at 350° for 35 minutes.
  • Cool – then sprinkle nutmeg on top.

  • She has a lot more recipes where this came from so go check out her website and her Pinterest boards and you will find all kinds of interesting idea's to take this brittle and make amazing looking desserts for your family and friends!

They have several different ways you can buy Brownie Brittle from single bags to sets of bags to gift boxes. You can even order them by the case (12 bags in a case) or you can get a variety pack with a mixture of all the flavors. You can order online or find a store near you by checking out the Store Locator on their site. I found out that several big name stores carry the Brownie Brittle so I have every confidence that we will find them near us! Happy Shopping!
