Salba Smart Chia Boost Seeds Review & Giveaway**Closed**

I was recently sent something I had never tried before and those were Salba Chia Seeds! I actually wasn't even sure what they were, to tell you the truth, and that is why I decided to review them, so that I would know. I try to be as healthy as I can given my health problems but my friend, Lynette, is even better than I am at these things so I shared both of these with her as well.

I received a box of the whole seeds and the grounds seeds along with a pretty good sized bag of whole seeds. They were the Salba Chia Boost and they came in individual packets along with the bag of whole seeds from Smart Salba.
Now, there are two different kinds of Salba Chia Seeds and I didn't realize it until I really studied the website and realized that there were the regular seeds and then the Salba Chia Boost.  The Boost seeds come in the boxes that are individual packets and then the regular seeds can come in a bag or a bottle (like a vitamin bottle).
My friend Lynette used her ground seeds to put in a protein shake that she makes every morning before going to the gym for her workout. Now, I used to belong to that same gym until both of my knee's had to be replaced and I tried to continue afterwards but everything hurt my knee's and then when the Fibromyalgia kicked in, I had to call it a day. I do have a stationary bike that I have at home that I ride and I do exercise with Charlie when we play chase.
But, anyway, you now get the idea when I said that Lynette was a lot more into health products and such. She is willing to try anything once and keep on using it if she likes it. Now, I could never drink one of those shake things she makes because all of the ingredients sound awful, not the seeds, but all the other things she puts in there is just not my thing.
I preferred putting my ground seeds in my Greek yogurt along with some fruit. We both took the whole seeds and ground them up because I just couldn't handle the seeds whole. Why? Well, a few years back I had a Diverticulitis attack and am suppose to be careful about seeds of any kind, so I did it more for that than any other reason.  She did try her both ways and really didn't have a preference but because I was grounding mine, she said to just add hers too.

Salba chia is a multi-tasker of a seed. It provides potential benefits for the following individuals:
  • Athletes and sports enthusiasts
  • Seniors and the elderly
  • Children and Adolescents
  • On-the-Go Individuals
  • Anti-Aging/Wellness
  • Anyone looking to improve their nutrition and health

What else was really amazing is how far back these Chia Seeds go! I grabbed only a brief history so go and read more about this amazing little seed:
You may not be an Aztec warrior, but eating Salba Chia every day may make you feel like one! Way back when – around 3500 BC – these early athletes looked to chia as a super fuel for energy and endurance, and so can you! Why? Because the nutrient dense make-up of chia makes it a mighty way to boost daily nutrition, with thousands of years of use to back up its powerful claims.
Salba chia has been cultivated through years of research to produce trademarked varieties that have the highest concentration of nutrients of all chia. It is also the most consistent from crop to crop. Salba chia, a blend of the only two registered varieties of Salvia hispanica L. – Sahi Alba 911 & 912, is the most superior form of Salvia hispanica L. on the planet.
Here is what Salba Smart Chia seeds look like. I took their picture because mine wouldn't come into focus enough for you to see.

And they actually are smaller than even this picture, so you can see why I had a hard time getting my picture to come into focus. Once you ground them, they will be like an almost powder form but still have a little bit of a crunch left. I didn't try to make them totally powder like because I wanted something to give my yogurt a little filler.

Here are some idea's to use Salba Smart Chia Seeds in your everyday life other than the shake or yogurt:

Sprinkling (whole or ground):
  • Cereal – sprinkle over the top after adding milk
  • Sandwiches – sprinkle grain onto spread (so it doesn’t fall off)
  • Salads – sprinkling Salba over the top of your salad dressing adds a nice crunch
  • Eggs – sprinkle over the top of eggs prepared your favorite way
Mixing (whole or ground):
  • Cereal – mixed in hot cereal before or after cooking
  • Sandwiches – mixed in your favorite sandwich spread
  • Salads – mixed in your favorite salad dressing
  • Smoothies – mix into your favorite smoothie
  • Eggs – mix in your omelets or scrambles before cooking
  • Soups – mix in your favorite soup to thicken
  • Sauces – mix in any sauce to thicken
You can also bake with them by substituting what you use in your meatloaf, pie crusts, cookies, muffins, breads and other baking foods. I am not sure what the correct amounts would be so check out these suggestions that Salba Smart Chia has:
  • Replace the 1/6 flour in any recipe with ground Salba
  • Add whole grain to any recipe
  • 1T Whole grain Salba + ¼ cup of water = 1 egg (stir Salba to prevent clumping, blend gel for best results)

  • Smart Salba Chia has other products besides just the Chia Seeds, so go over and check them out. You will be as amazed as I was at how unique Smart Salba is and the products that they carry.
