Mad Hippie Vitamin C Serum Review

I have an awesome new product to share with you called Mad Hippie's Vitamin C Serum and you will love this serum!

Wow, this is such an unusual name for a company and it really does remind me of the days back in the 60's and 70's when there really were hippie's roaming around carrying and wearing all of these flowers in their hair and in the patterns of their dresses or shirts. I know, I am dating myself a little, of course, some of this is from a child's memory, so don't get too carried away!

I have always been partial to Vitamin C Serums and I know some will say that you do need it and some will say you don't. I can only tell you how I feel and what I know it does for me. I think it helps keep my face clearer and gives me a little nudge towards helping counter effect what little damage I might get from the sun.

I don't go out as much as I used to since both my knee's have been replaced so it's not like I get a lot but when I used to garden, I was out there almost every day. Some days I did forget to use my sunscreen, so I made sure to do my nightly skincare regime and that included Vitamin C. I think it keeps my skin smoother and less wrinkles are showing because of my usage.

Mad Hippie's Vitamin C Serum has these main ingredient's that you need to know about:

*Vitamin C
*Ferulic Acid
*Vitamin E
*Hyaluronic Acid
*Konjac Root Powder
*Grapefruit
*Chamomile Extract
*Clary Sage

I loved the way it felt when I first put it on and it continues to feel awesome. I have dry skin so when I put on a really good product that works like it is suppose to, my skin will drink it up almost immediately and it really loved this Vitamin C Serum. It disappeared almost as soon as it touched my face. I love when it does that because I know it's working.

Mad Hippie's Vitamin C Serum will Brighten, Tighten & Smooth the skin at the same time it is reducing the effects of Photoaging. And you want your Vitamin C Serum to do that. If it's not, then you need to find another one, like this one!

I won't go into what all of the ingredient's in Mad Hippie's Vitamin C Serum will do but will point out the most important ones that you really need to pay attention to the most or what you are looking for in a Vitamin C Serum. I loved the simple and natural scent that Mad Hippie has in their Vitamin C Serum. It was very nice to not feel or smell like a chemical plant!

They are:

Clary Sage - Balances the production of sebum, and eliminates over-dry or over-oily skin.  Acts as natural toner & astringent with antibacterial & antiseptic qualities. (You really don't want your skin to dry out even more if you have dry skin like I do!)

Chamomile Extract – Provides a thin protective shield, while naturally soothing and calming the skin. (I don't know about you, but sometimes, skincare products can be harsh or if you have sensitive skin, you will need products that help calm your skin)

Grapefruit – Rich in antioxidants & citric acid, grapefruit works to remove dead skin cells, acting as a natural exfoliant, while toning & tightening the skin. (Now, this is important because if you are not exfoliating, then your dead skin will just build up and make any skincare worthless)

Konjac Root Powder – Exotic flower from Asia, works to effectively soften & smooth the skin while forming a thin protective barrier.  Rich in nutrients such as copper, zinc, phosphorus, fatty acids, protein, carbohydrates, lipids, potassium, magnesium, iron, niacin, folic acid & vitamins A, E, C, D & B! ( I love all of the antioxidants!)

I mentioned these because they are different than what most Vitamin C Serums have in them. These are all natural ingredients that aid the Main Ingredients and help this particular Vitamin C Serum work. The main ingredients of course is the Vitamin C, Vitamin E, Hyaluronic Acid and Ferulic Acid. You need those also for any Vitamin C Serum to be truly effective.

The most important is Hyaluronic Acid because it will plump and smooth your skin by retaining moisture which is doubly important to me because of my dry skin. It also aides in healing and enhancing production & maintenance of collagen, which we start to lose as we age, so you will need to definitely get some type of skincare product that has this in the ingredients.

I try to pick products that do multiple things so you aren't piling on a lot of products to get what you actually need so to me Vitamin C makes sense because it does so many things with all the different properties that is in it. Just make sure to read your labels and make sure you are getting more than just one benefit from your skincare products. Plus, it helps the wallet also!

Also, most of you will only use Vitamin C Serum in the mornings but I use it at night. I find that during the day I am constantly doing stuff that causes me to get hot (must be change of life) and so I have to wipe my face more than normal. I prefer doing it at night because I am not wiping my face so the Vitamin C Serum stays on longer.

It doesn't take much so start out small until you get the hang of how much you need to use. I would rather pump twice than to get too much the first couple of times and waste a good product!

I have never heard of Konjac Root, but it sounds great too! My skin is usually very dry, and sensitive, but this sounds like something I could use!

I have some very dry skin spots, and this sounds like it would be excellent for it. Thanks for the great review.
