Prize Candle Review

Have you gotten one of the new Prize Candles yet? If you haven't you are missing out on an  awesome candle! I love the way that they are decorated, with all of the pastel colors and in fruits and flowers.

They come in these scents:

1.) Pomegranate Passion
2.) Lavender Citrus
3.) French Brulee
4.) Island Paradise
5.) Spring Garden
6.) Orange Blossom
7.) Fresh Melon & Cucumber

Now isn't that refreshing? I don't know about you but trying to select a scent out of 25 or more just about freezes up my brain. Especially when you are doing it online and haven't the faintest idea of how any of them smell. So, what do I do in that situation? I always order Lavender or something mixed with Lavender because it's the safest.  So, only having seven scents to choose from eases my mind and they are all scents that I think I can actually envision and all are quite pleasant.

I was sent the Pomegranate Passion to review and I loved the colors. I can safely say that it looks exactly like it does online. Sometimes, that isn't always true but it is in this case and that gave me such a lift that I knew this was going to be a great candle and would have no unforeseen problems.

We set it down on the kitchen island and lit it up and after a few minutes you could smell the pleasant sweet smell of what I call the "sweet candy" scent. I have never had a pomegranate so I don't have that memory to tell me if what I am smelling is right or not and it really doesn't matter to me because I like the scent I think I am smelling right in front of me. And believe it or not, Mike thought so too!  He's not crazy about candles but he came in after awhile and said, hey, that smells pretty good!

It took me almost 3 days to get it melted enough to pull this out! I did not burn it 12 or more hours each day so that might be why. I guess if you leave yours on long enough it would burn faster but I really wasn't in no hurry. I was enjoying the scent and knew it would get there eventually. The ring above is what was in the candle.

The thing I liked the best about this was that they had a little paper (kind of like the fortune cookie) wrapped inside the ring with a code on it. You take that code to Prize Candle's site and look up Appraise and type those letters and numbers in and it tells you what your piece of jewelry is worth. According to the site, my ring above is worth $50.00! Now, that was a nice surprise!

I am not sure what size it is since it's so thick and big I couldn't get my rings to lay down evenly with it.  Unfortunately, it is too small for me. I can only get it on halfway on both pinkies. But, that is okay because I have expensive rings that I can't wear either. Ever since the RA medications have stopped working and I am not taking anything, my swelling has increased over the last 2 months. I have a friend whose birthday is in August and more than likely I will give it to her along with some other gifts.

I grabbed this off of their site so that you can see some of the other rings that might be in some of the other candles.  I have always wanted one like the blue one surrounded by stones. Don't you think it matches the one that Kate Middleton has that was Princess Diana's?  It's still so strange that she is not here. Of course, the nice white stone isn't bad either, huh?

Tips on Best Way to Use Prize Candle:

**Our 21 ounce 100% pure soy candles are designed to burn 110-140 hours and contain a 100% cotton vegetable dipped wick.

**Soy candles will not smoke if the wick is properly trimmed and your candle is not in a draft.
**Candle will not perform properly in a draft.

**Trimming the wick to ¼” maintains a proper flame and keeps your candle burning evenly and maximizes the burn time.

**Do not burn candle for more than four hours at a time.

**Never burn while sleeping, unattended, nor near children and pets.

**Candles should always be burned on a flat heat resistant surface to prevent damage.

**Allow candle to completely cool before moving and never relocate while lit or when the wax is liquid.
**Soy candles can be affected by hot & cold temperatures and may show characteristics of sweating, frosting and shrinking.

**This is common with soy candles and in no way hinders the quality of the product.

**Simply allow your Prize Candle to return to room temperature after opening and enjoy!

These are SO nice! You're right - it's brain-numbing to try to pick out just one scent. And they come with prizes, too. Better than Cracker Jacks, isn't it?

All the scents sound amazing, but Pomegranate Passion especially appeals to me. The ring you received looks wonderful! And I love that the candles are soy. Thanks for your review! I'll keep these in mind when next gift-shopping.

I have not tried any of the jewelry candles from any of the companies yet. I too LOVE that they do not have 20 bzillion scents to choose from. Like you, that is just overwhelming to me! And I think their jars are beautiful. Let's see: aromatherapy, eye candy, no brain freeze trying to fine THE ONE, AND A PRIZE INSIDE? Yes, please! When I'm able to get a jewelry candle THIS is the company I'll be getting it from. Thank you for the review!
