Inspirer (Poetic Observations) Book Review

I have another great book to share with you today that is also a different path I have decided to try and it's about poems written by an amazing man named Allen Vaysberg and the book of poems is called Inspirer (Poetic observations). This is my second book looking into poems. The first one was an approach in lightness and this book is more reflective and what I call longing.
Here is one poem in particular that will resonate with all who are celebrating another birthday:
As age I’ve waited for is here
One thing is definitely clear
That nothing happens on its own
And that’s a very heavy stone
To carry…
I’ve dreamt of being thirty three
Of freedoms that it brings to me
Of powers endless that awake
By simply blowing out the cake
And being merry…
And truth be told I still expect
A veil to lift beyond my back
Revealing mysteries of life
And how to live it without strife
…But nothing scary….
Although I do have to admit
It’s twelve o six and nothing yet…
Maybe it happens while you sleep?
I guess I’ll know it at the beep
There are a lot of poems in his book that reflect on life and on things that we all think about. I thought it was pretty insightful and wanted to share it with you. It's harder to review a book of poems because I can't tell you a story or give you an overview other than to give you a few of his poems. But I can tell you about him and give you some directions on how to look him up if you are interested in poems and wish to know more.
I had toyed with the idea of doing a giveaway but because I am in new territory and don't really know how my readers feel about poetry, I decided to wait awhile and will revisit this at a later date once I have gotten some feedback from all of you.
It really is a great read and has some thought provoking questions and I hope that you will take the time to read a few of his poems.
