Ray of Light Book Review

I have another light read book for you that will be perfect for summer as you sit on the beach, lake or mountains and dream a little while you are reading and don't have to worry about what time it is other than what's to eat! The book is Ray of Light written by Shelley Shepard Gray.

Here is an excerpt from the back of the book:
Bestselling author Shelley Shepard Gray brings inspirational romance to life in this sweet tale of love in the Amish community, Ray of Light, the second installment of her Days of Redemption series.

Roman Keim just wants a break from the family drama at his snowy Ohio home when he heads to an Amish snowbird community in Florida. There he meets Amanda Yoder and her daughter Regina who soon are warming his heart. But will Roman return to Ohio or will he stay and help the young widow embrace a second chance at love?

The author of the series Sisters of the Heart and Seasons of Sugarcreek, Shelley Shepard Gray delivers an honest, tender love story in Ray of Light, featuring the challenges of faith, family, and romance.
Amanda loses her husband when her daughter was very young and she is having a hard time coping with the loss of her father.  Amanda's husband, Wesley has died of cancer and is visiting with her in laws when she meets Roman, who is on vacation. He is in desperate need of one and to get away from his family.

Roman falls in love with her immediately and knows in his hear that she is the "one" and he won't give up making her see that.  He is from Ohio and when his vacation is over, he enlists the help from his 2 sisters, who  help him to get Amanda to come up for a visit and to bring her daughter with her.

Regina, the little girl, falls in love with the place, Roman's parents and grandparents.  But, Amanda is still refusing to see what is right in front of her and she refuses to stay.

I can tell you one thing, it doesn't pay to be too stubborn! And I should know because my father used to tell me that all the time.  It has it's advantages but it also has disadvantages too. You can be so stubborn to move even your feet if you get into something over your head, just act like you do no matter what!

Amanda and Regina will hopefully find a place to call home again and it will also relieve their heavy hearts because love really does happen more than once, which I know a lot of people disagree, but you have to face the fact that men and women will find love again eventually. It may not be the same kind as their first love, but it will help them to heal and that love will grow until you don't need to keep walls in between you and the person you love and they love you back just as much!

Happy Reading!
