Polaroid Fotobar Sponsor Spotlight Review for Year of You Giveaway

Oh, isn't he the cutest thing?? That is our Charlie, a Yorkie and his birthday was on June 3rd and he turned 5 years old. Of course, when taking a picture of something that is surrounded in Lucite is going to glare back at you, I did the best that I could taking this one several times and they all looked pretty much the same. This was done by Polaroid Fotobar and this is their Lucite Frame.

It is actually almost like a 3D picture if you look close at the bottom you can see where the picture is actually sitting on the very back of the frame and then you have this really thick wall in the front but if you are looking straight down at the picture from the top, it will look like two completely different frames. That is another reason why Charlie is a little out of focus and it looks like there is something on the frame but it's just me catching myself in the glare and no matter what I did, I could not get it out.

But, when we put it on the fireplace mantel, it looks perfect and doesn't glare. The mantle is too high up for me or I would have taken the picture there but I was on my tiptoes to begin with. That picture is sitting next to the one we had done several months back of him in a plain photo and you probably remember the review & giveaway but here is what that picture looked like:

He had a real close cut here and the other picture is of it growing out. I know, we don't have any small children and I sure wasn't going to take a picture of me or Mike. Neither one of us wanted to be in any pictures and if you notice, I cut myself out of this one before I sent it on. I was holding him on the boat when Mike took this picture. He's actually quite a ham, isn't he?

Anyway, now you have 2 different views of the kinds of pictures that they can make and they do a whole lot more than this. I did toy with the idea of making coasters with Charlie's picture but we already have a good bit of coasters and so we decided on these pictures of Charlie in different times of this past year.

Polaroid Fotobar has a lot more that can be done and judging by the looks of one of their stores, I am sure I haven't even begun to scratch the surface!

Some of the things that they can do is mind boggling but here is a sampling:

  • Framed Art
  • Lucite Art
  • Metal Art
  • Acrylic Wall Art
  • Bamboo Art
  • Custom Oversized
  • Polaroid Pictures
  • Polaroid Magnets
  • Polaroid Coasters
  • 3D Polaroid Pictures
  • Pola-easel
  •
    Minimum Photo Size Requirements:

We recommend that all photos be 300 dpi or be the original high resolution files. Rule of thumb... bigger is better. While customizing your product, the "photo quality star rating" will indicate how well your photo will print. If you get a warning that your photo is too small, or the "photo quality star rating" is 1 star, we recommend changing your photo or product size so that your photo quality is 3 to 5 stars.

They have so many different types of frames to choose from along with what size of the photo if you decide to do a picture like the one that is me holding Charlie. I had a really hard time choosing which frame and what size but I am glad I got what I did because it brought out Charlie's big brown eyes!

I think if I ever do this again, I am going to do magnets that I can put on the fridge like these below:
You really do have so many possibilities and whatever you decide to do for Father's Day or just for yourself, you are going to love the quality of the products that Polaroid Fotobar creates for you. One of the awesome things that I liked about the whole process is once you send them everything, they will have it done and shipped to you within 3 business days! Another great plus is how great they are about Customer Service.

Awww! Such a great picture of a real cutie. This sounds like a great way to display memories...I like that there's a photo quality rating so you're not likely to be surprised by a low quality end product.

Cute little pup! We have kitties here. My 'baby' would look good in the Lucite frame.

Charlie is so cute!! I'd love to have some fridge magnets (can never have enough, one day no one will be able to tell what color the fridge is) and a framed picture.

So sweet! I love to get one of these made with a picture of my daughter to give to my mom as a birthday gift (she would probably keep it in her office at work). Your dog is darling, as well!
