Heart's in Exile Book Review

Oh, we have another exciting tale from Tallenmere that involves magic, elves, zombies and vampires! I have gotten to love reading these books that have a little bit connection to the others but are separate stories about different couples who live in this fairytale magic city. The newest one is called Hearts in Exile written by Mysti Parker.
Here is an excerpt from back of book:
In Tallenmere, fate has a way of catching up with you...
Somewhere, hidden in the waters of the Southern Sea, lies an island unlike any other. Within the amber glow of its pyrogem-laden cliffs, legend says the very heart of the dragon god Drae keeps the island, and its occupants, alive.
Loralee Munroviel, daughter of Leogard's High Priestess Arianne, had no idea what she would face when she arrived by boat ten years ago and was left alone in exile. All she knew about Draekoria's inhabitants was written in one tattered notebook. Now, her life revolves around keeping Drae's descendants happy. Never in her life did she imagine being a Dragon Keeper.
Captain Igrorio Everlyn, known as Sir Robert to his unit of Holy Paladins, has faced his share of hell, battling the evils of Emperor Sarvonn's tyranny and the dark god Tyr's abominations. But none of that compares to the ten years of hell he's been without Loralee, presumed dead.
One freak storm changes everything. Now the two of them must fight to reestablish the delicate balance of the island before the dragons take things into their own hands. Through it all, they discover the secrets that kept them, and their hearts, exiled for a decade.

I really loved this book! The more books I read about this place, the more involved I get. I wasn't sure when I first started them but have readily accepted them now and can't wait to read the next one.  This story is a tad different than the last two and in some ways a lot more sad but in the end it makes some sense and then again it doesn't.

A lot is left to the imagination and I wasn't sure if I liked the ending but something about it made me feel like this wasn't the last we would hear of these two unique characters who transcend themselves into deeper magic than the other two books combined.

If you love dragons and love reading about them, this will be a book you will not want to miss! Can't wait to hear what the rest of you think about this book whether you win the ebook from me or get one of the hard copies yourself. Let me know as I am curious what you all think of these books about Tallenmere and the elves that live there.

Happy Reading!

I will be giving away an ebook to one lucky reader! In the next week or so I will be giving away all three books that I have reviewed including this one. Those will all be hard copies. For the ones who won the last two books, you won't want to miss this one. Again, this is for the ebook of Hearts in Exile.  Open WW. Good Luck Everyone!
