l.c. of Acirema Skincare Products Sponsor Spotlight Review

I got several items to review from l.c. Acirema, who is going to be giving a $39.00 GC to the winner of my Something Special for Mom Giveaway Event that begins on May 10th and ends on the 26th. Open to the U.S. only. Good Luck Everyone!

Here is what I got to review:

1.)  Dragon Juice
2.)  Lavender Oil
3.)  Pop Skin Revitalizing Lotion
4.)  Mug Paste, exfoliating, herbs & honey, mask, scrub
5.)  Mug Preference, Queen of Mug Herbal Toner
6.)  Mug Preference, a facial oil, herbal

We'll start with the Mug Preference Facial Oil as it can do 3 things and that means less products to buy and less time spending time getting your makeup off at night. It is a cleanser, a moisturizer and an eye make-up remover! So, that is saying a lot about this bottle of Facial Oil. I normally associate Facial Oils with staying on the face for anti-aging benefits, not using it to take makeup off, but if it works for all of those, that means less money is spent and less time in the bathroom!

Vitamin-rich and emollient Sesame oil absorbs UV radiation, copy-cat Jojoba is a look-a-like for the natural moisturizing oil of your skin. And Chamomile and Calendula are super soothing and healing for sensitive mug skin. Use this oil cleanser to dissolve sebum and dirt and still retain the crucial acid mantle on your skin. Carrier oils, such as olive, coconut and sesame, combine with sebum, dissolve the sebum and allow it to be rinsed away.

Soap has a high pH, which can dry skin and diminish skin's life expectancy. This facial oil will leave your skin feeling fantastically soft, silky and supple. Only a small amount is needed per cleanse.
To apply oil as a moisturizer, use only 1 drop, rub hands together briskly and lightly touch your face with your hands. No residual oil should sit on your skin.

MAIN INGREDIENTS:

Chamomile, Calendula and Marshmallow, certified organic: these herbs have actions such as anti-inflammatory, healing, tonifying and antibacterial actions.

The herbs are then solar-infused into the carrier oils, (see description under "About l.c. of acirema").

Next, is the Mug Preference Queen of Mug Herbal Toner. A centuries old formula that we now know helps protect the skin's acid mantle and balances skin's ph to maintain a healthy state. Your mug still knows what's good for it.

l.c. of acirema recommends using Queen of Mug after cleansing your face with "Mug Preference, a facial oil." Queen of Mug will help astringe, heal, soften and tone the skin. The cleansing alpha-hydroxy acids in Queen of Mug are natural, fruit acids from raw apple cider vinegar.  I was wondering if something was wrong with my bottle but now that I see it has acids from apple cider, it makes sense.

Alpha-hydroxy's regulate the ph of the skin, which protects that ever so important acid mantle, which in turn protects you from the outside environment and some bacteria. They also cleanse and mildly exfoliate the top layer of skin. Alpha-hydroxy's mildly exfoliate the skin by dissolving the glue that holds dead skin cells together. This allows the body's natural emollient oils to reach the surface cells and help moisturize and relieve dryness.

Alpha-hydroxy treatments are recommended twice a week to minimize fine lines and smooth the skin.  Because of the naturally low acidity strength, Queen of Mug is a safe and easy treatment for daily at home use.

*But use caution, as you may be at increased risk of sunburn.
*Alcohol-free and added Vit. C and MSM!
* Why alcohol free?* Many toners are based in alcohol, which is very drying to the skin. It leaves your skin feeling dry and tight. Queen of Mug leaves your skin feeling fresh and soft, never dry and tight!

*This is a concentrated ingredient product. You can dilute it with distilled water or spring water up to 50%.  So, be careful with this one. The smell is quite strong but you will get used to it.

Now, the Mug Paste is used to exfoliate, heal and soothe. Okay, never saw that one coming.

Colorado honey mixed with skin-healing and naturally antiseptic herbs and nutrients mildly exfoliate dead skin to leave room for a smooth new face. Apply, gently scrub and let this mask sit on your skin AS LONG AS POSSIBLE.

The longer the herbs, nutrients and enzyme-rich honey are in contact with your skin, the better they can impart their healing magic! Then gently wipe or scrub the mask off your skin. Good for your face, decolletage, elbows, heels, etc.

PRINCIPAL INGREDIENTS:

Raw Colorado honey: raw honey contains vitamins, enzymes and important nutrients. It also has anti-bacterial, anti-fungal and anti-viral properties. Great for burns, rashes and abrasions.
Calendula, Comfrey, Echinacea and many other certified organic or ethically wildcrafted herbs: natural antiseptics, anti-inflammatory, cell-regenerating and skin toning herbs.
Certified organic oats: specifically skin soothing and healing.

Coconut oil itself is high in antioxidants, and a similar composition to skin sebum, and lastly, contains high levels of Lauric acid, which is known for being anti-viral, anti-bacterial, and anti-fungal.
Pop Skin Revitalizing Lotion! firming eye and facial treatment, NEW & IMPROVED, facial moisturizer and eye lotion.

New and improved formula!!! The story....At one time, years ago, Skin Revitalizing Lotion was a soothing, pale blue color. As the Eye Pop formula and the Skin Revitalizing Lotion formula was combined, Eye Pop/Skin Revitalizing Lotion became its signature orangish-red color.

They are going back to their roots! Eye Pop/Skin Revitalizing Lotion still contains all of the nutrients and healing ingredients that you know and have come to love, but the color is back to a barely there, egg-shell pale blue. (Though in some light it looks the barest of green and sometimes even just egg-shell - it's very interesting!)

A soothing color and soothing ingredients! To go along with the new color is a brand-new colored label. Blue! I'm loving it and I hope you do too!!!  A soothing, silky eye treatment lotion that many of my customers love to use for their entire face! Chock full of herbal extracts and nutrients, all designed to firm and repair eye area or facial skin.

This is the Lavender all Natural Herbal Oil that can be used for your hair, body and as a perfume!

An all natural, intoxicating perfume oil, body oil, hair oil, bath oil. An ultra-restorative, skin-conditioning and nourishing base. The pure Lavender essential oil is an emotional equilibrilator, creates feelings of true and sweet, and is florally uplifting. And don't forget, fiercely scented.

Apply directly to dry patches of skin or abraded skin areas for healing.
***Remember, these all natural ingredients are also very healing. ***

Lastly, there is the Dragon Juice that is used for a lot of different things. See what all it's good for:

The herbs in "dragon juice" have been known to:
- support most all of the body systems, but in particular, as immune enhancers.
- help prevent free radical damage from environmental pollution as antioxidants.
- be used as nerve tonics.
- support the upper respiratory.
- are naturally high in Vitamin C; be sure to use Vitamin C after all stumbles and tumbles, high temperatures, infections, flu, achy ears, colds, runny noses, sniffles, sneezing.

Here is what Lori says about her Dragon Juice:

Each package comes with recipes for regular steeped herbal tea, sun tea, and herbal Popsicles. As an added bonus, each package has a insert with even more delicious ways to use your dragon juice with recipes such as "Dragon Juice Ice Cream Sandwiches", "dragon pops" and "Chocolate Smoothie with dragon juice". (There are different recipes on different inserts, so a particular recipe cannot be guaranteed with any package - convo me if your order didn't come with the recipe you were interested in:)

I made a cup and sure enough, it does turn into a little reddish pink color and actually doesn't taste bad at all. Lori had said she created this mixture of herbs to give her kids an alternative to drinking Kool Aid all the time. ALL herbs are certified organic!

This Dragon Juice does a lot of things that I don't have time to talk about here in one post, so you really need to go on over to her shop on Etsy and read all about the Dragon Juice and what are some of her suggestions. Like she said earlier, each bag does come with some suggestions as to what to do with the herbs.

Also, Lori was interviewed by another blogger, I think, and she gave some amazing answers to why herbs works. So, if you are interested in reading the interview, then go over to this SITE and see what all they talked about.

And for those of you who would like to try the Dragon Juice or anything else on her site, she has given me a coupon code that will give you 30% off of your order. Just use: CUPOFTEA30

Lori is going to give the winner of my Something Special for Mom Giveaway Event a $39 GC to spend in her store! The Event starts on May 10th and ends on the 26th. Open in the U.S. only. Good Luck Everyone!
