Sun Cups Sponsor Spotlight Review

I have a wonderful new chocolate company that I found out about a few months back and am so excited to tell you about them because they are so darn good! The company is called Sun Cups and they are sorta like Reese's Cups but they come in several flavors. I was sent a boxful of the different kinds in single packages and in double packages and here are the flavors:

1.) Terrifically Tingle Mint Cups Dark Chocolate
2.) Delightfully Delicious Dark Chocolate Sunflower Butter Cups
3.) OOEY-GOOEY Goodness Caramel Cups Milk Chocolate
4.) Yummy in the Tummy Milk Chocolate Sunflower Butter Cups

The Sun Cups have an Organic ingredient. Rainforest Alliance Certified™ and do not contain soy, gluten, peanuts or tree nuts. Our facilities are nut- and gluten-free. They have also applied to be Non-GMO *verification pending*.

These cups are super awesome! Gosh, when I bit into one the caramel just came pouring out! There is no shortage of Caramel in here! All that ooey gooey goodness and it's gluten free also! And the ingredients listed below are so wholesome and natural. No Chemicals here.

INGREDIENTS: Milk Chocolate* (cane sugar*, cocoa butter*, whole milk powder*, cocoa liquor*), Cream*, Cane Sugar*, White Chocolate* (cane sugar*, cocoa butter*, whole milk powder*), Butter*, Lemon Juice*.

This great little cup has dark chocolate instead of milk chocolate. Then they paired it perfectly with the mint flavor.  You are gonna love this one, too! Filled to the top with minty goodness!

INGREDIENTS: Dark Chocolate* (cocoa liquor*, cane sugar*, cocoa butter*), Cream*, Cane Sugar*, White Chocolate* (cane sugar*, cocoa butter*, whole milk powder*), Glucose*, Peppermint Flavor* (sunflower oil*, peppermint oil*).

And now, the classic to a peanut butter cup is this dark chocolate confection.  And 70% dark chocolate is 100% amazing. In their Dark Chocolate Sun Cups, this fantastic force of nature has met its match in roasted sunflower butter—the most epic peanut-alternative the allergic and gluten intolerant could ever imagine. You won't even miss the peanut butter! I promise.

INGREDIENTS: Dark Chocolate* (cocoa liquor*, cane sugar*, cocoa butter*), Sunflower Seed*, Glucose*, White Chocolate* (cane sugar*, cocoa butter*, milk powder*), Cocoa Butter*, Sea Salt

Another happy result in making something that peanut allergy fans could not have is now within reach. This one is just as good as the real deal. They gave it a mouth-watering makeover, filling creamy all natural milk chocolate with roasted sunflower butter. Now, those with peanut allergies, gluten intolerance or just a persnickety sweet tooth can live the dream for themselves.

INGREDIENTS: Milk Chocolate* (cane sugar*, cocoa butter*, whole milk powder*, cocoa liquor*), Sunflower Seed*, Glucose*, White Chocolate* (cane sugar*, cocoa butter*, milk powder*), Cocoa Butter*, Sea Salt.

Here is Sun Cup's History:
In 2008, a man knocked on the door at Seth Ellis Chocolates with a jar of sunflower butter and a challenge: create a candy cup his peanut-allergic son could eat. The chocolatiers got to work, inspired by the idea of a peanut butter cup for everyone. A jar of sunflower butter, a handful of test batches and a day later, they had cracked the code. Sun Cups were born.
Being a peanut butter cup for everyone is no small task. It calls for unseen levels of nut-free, gluten-free, Certified Kosher deliciousness. And being the overachievers they are, the chocolatiers also made their creation organic, using cacao from Rainforest Alliance Certified™ farms.
That means the chocolate in Sun Cups comes from farms that look out for their workers and the planet. We wouldn’t have it any other way. Milk Chocolate and Dark Chocolate Sun Cups debuted in 2009. And in 2011, we added Milk Chocolate Caramel Cups and Dark Chocolate Mint Cups to the lineup to spread the love to even more dessert-earners worldwide.
Today, our Boulder chocolate factory is buzzing around the clock churning out chocolate safe for nut allergies, but we still love visitors. You might just need to knock twice.

I love alternative foods that taste as good as the originals.
