Scentsy Layers Sponsor Spotlight Review

I know everyone has heard of Scentsy before but did you know that they went into the bath and body line of products? Well, they have and they call them Layers by Scentsy.  It makes sense when you realize what they are talking about. You take a shower in that scent, wash your hands in same scent and lastly, you put on the hand/body lotion in that scent to finalize the layering process!
I was sent these items to review:

1.)  Quiver Shower Gel
2.)  Quiver Hand Soap
3.)  Quiver Hand/Body Lotion
4.)  Ace Shower Gel

Let's start with the Shower Gel in the scent of Quiver in the Scentsy Layers products.  There are actually 22 scents to choose from in the Shower Gel! I did not know that. I guess I must not have paid attention.

I saw several others that sound awesome and look really good, too! I wonder how long will it take to go thru everyone one of the scents? Probably longer than I care to take so I will have to decide which ones I want to try the most!

Description of Quiver:

Innocent vanilla flower, warm sandalwood, and sultry night-blooming tuberose in a seductive scent, meant to cause a shiver of delight.

We both liked the scent but I am gonna have to be careful and not do the layering.  Just the hand lotion itself caused me to get a little queasy. I am not in good health right now, so anything out of the ordinary sets me off. Once I washed my hands, then the scent was light and very nice.

This is the Hand Wash in the Quiver scent.  I really love the shape of the bottle and that is what makes it so cute and will look awesome in the kitchen or guest bathroom. I loved this one a little better and could tolerate it I think because I was washing my hands and of course when you do that, alot of the scent escapes down the drain and it left me with a very faint but clean and fresh scent that did not give me a headache.

By the way, it's not the product's fault that I got the headache with the lotion, this used to happen to me alot years ago I went thru a real sensitive time where I was irritated by alot of smells. Since my thyroid is way off (like it was back then), things tend to smell louder and I am more sensitive to the scents.

I love smelling fresh flowers but even those are giving me headaches right now. So, it could be any brand, any scent that does that so it's nothing Scentsy has in their products, it's just me because my immune system is down right now and things seem more stronger and I am more sensitive.

This is the Hand Lotion in Quiver and when I first put it on, both Mike and I loved it. Then after about 10 minutes the scent really gave me a cluster headache and I had to wash some of it off and then it smelled awesome. It was lighter but the scent was still there.

So, please, don't think there is anything wrong with this lotion, I am just experiencing my headaches again. It has been since 2004 when I was getting headaches for any scents inside and outside. They are above my nose right around the sinus area which is where I always get them.

When my thyroid is off, everything smells much worse. Even my favorite perfume is off limits right now. I can't even stand to smell Mike's after shave that I picked out for him because it smelled so awesome.
After they get my thyroid back under control, this issue will resolve itself and I can enjoy all of my products with scents.  So, for now, go by Scentsy's description of the scent, which is why I copied it so you would know what it smelled like. With my headaches, I can't tell one from the other. They all are giving me headaches.
They were also kind enough to send one extra shower gel called Ace. The description that Scentsy has on this one is really interesting and because I was dumb and put the Quiver lotion on and then tried to smell the Ace, I never got a whiff of those scents because I was still smelling Quiver, so Mike tested it for me and he said he liked this one better.

Here is their description of the scent:

Definitely unexpected: tangerine and lavender enrobed in dark chocolate and sweet, musky amber.

I love amber and lavender so I know that when this is all over, I am gonna enjoy this one really well. From what Mike said, this one is the one he thinks I will like the best.

He knows me pretty good, so I am gonna take that as the truth and say this one is probably better suited to me.  But, with 22 scents to choose from, I think all of us will find the ONE for each of us. I have no doubt!
I wanted to show you a few products that I did not get to review but thought I would love and one of those is this French Lavender Body Butter. Yes, they have Body Butter! I really love Body Butter's alot more because they are so thick and creamy and seem to help my dry skin the best. There are only 5 scents to choose from in the Body Butters but French Lavender is fine with me!
They also have Bath Tablets for those of you who can take baths. I can't because of my bladder problem, but for those of you who love to take baths and soak, these will be ideal for you. This one is called Garden of Love and here is how Scentsy described the scent:  A secret garden of night-blooming magnolia and earthy musk interwoven with mossy green grass.
Lastly, I thought I would show this to you because this really intrigued me the most.  These are Dryer Discs and this one is the French Lavender scent.  Mmm, I bet this would make our clothes smell absolutely awesome! You might even get away with having to spray anything on! Gosh, I love smelling like Lavender so this would have been my perfect gift to me! So, this is going on my wish list and we will see what happens.

They still have alot more products that I did not show you but I did that for a reason. I want to leave something else to talk about when and if I ever do another Scentsy review, I want to have some new things to talk about. Plus, it also gives you incentive to go check them out! Go have some fun!

I know ladies who sell Scentsy but I never heard about them having body products Layers in Scentsy. I know what you mean sometimes about smells causing problems with you - they do the same for me

The Ace scented body wash sounds fantastic, I love the smell of amber, which tends to not be as popular as the florals many people like. I do understand your sensitivity being medically related, I have the same trouble at times, and there's no way I could do all the layering either, but I'd be happy to try each item one at a time! I'll definitely have to check these out though, because I really like some of the fruity food-type scents.

I know what you mean about loud smells. I don't like much of any scents except a few essential oils. I probably won't be getting these products.

I didn't realize Scentsy had body products! I'll have to give these a try, as I'm not too sensitive to smells and your description of the Quiver scent sounds wonderful.
