Scarlet Raine Handmade Soaps and Candles Sponsor Spotlight Review

Oh, you are going to love this company once I tell you and show you some of the scrumptious things that she sent me to review. I haven't seen anything quite like it before and am so incredibly proud that I have such an awesome prize to give to one winner. I wish I could give out more of these!
Maybe sometime in the future we can find some little something and have a few winners but for now, we going to concentrate on the Mother's Day Giveaway that starts on May 1st and ends on May 18th. Are you ready to see what is in store for you?
The company's name is Scarlet Raine Homemade Soaps and Candles and boy, are you going to love these!
Do you see this awesome scrumptious looking candle? I bet you thought it was some sort of ice cream made in heave, didn't you? Oh, no, this is Black Raspberry and the Vanilla Soy Candle! I can tell you right now that I was just too awed by this one to even touch it. I knew my granddaughter would have a fit over it for Christmas this year so I am constraining myself to keep from lighting it up.
And believe me, you don't need to light it up to smell the Black Raspberry. I think it actually overtook all the other scents so I had to separate them because they all smell like that now but hoping it will slowly fade now that they are separated.
They have one other size you can choose from which is is about the same height, just a little fatter. They said that this particular scent was made with an enticing blend of blackberries and raspberries, with middle notes of white floral greenery, and bottom notes of musk and vanilla. Now, don't that just take the cake!
I would have never guessed musk and white floral greenery as the blackberry smell pretty much is the main event, just like my granddaughter likes it! She even has body sprays of this stuff and I have to roll the windows down if we are in a car because she goes super bananas over this scent.
Now, this is an 8 oz. Rustic Candle in the Candied Watermelon scent. Here is how she describes that scent:
Candied Watermelon - Top notes of watermelon, lime, lemon, and bergamot; followed by middle notes of marigold, sweet, juicy melon; with base notes of white musk and vanilla.

This will be the one I keep for my daughter for Christmas. Two reasons: I have to give them both something similar they fight like cats and dogs over who I love more so now I either get 2 of the same or something that is equally good but different. And she loves the scent of Watermelon and I would have never guessed that there was vanilla and white musk in there.

Of course, it did not smell like a regular watermelon which I am eternally grateful because I don't like Watermelons but this is more of a mellow scent. So, this goes in the Christmas box as well.
And this is the 16 oz. size in the Strawberries and Cream scent which is described as:
Strawberries 'n' Cream - Highly requested fragrance! The aroma of fresh, juicy strawberries with just the right amount of creamy sweetened whipped cream.

Now, this one I can take the best but will more than likely give this one away as well. I am not a fruit loving candle lover. I love the Lavenders, Vanilla Bean, Sage & Citrus, Red Hot Cinnamon, Pink Sugar or Fairy Skin (this one sounds like the one I would have liked best beside my Lavender). I am not into sweet smelling candles but thankfully, my girls are so this will make excellent Christmas gifts.

They are all 100% Soy and will burn according to these sizes:

8 oz. - Burns 60-70 hours
16 oz. - Burns 120-140 hours
32 oz. - Burns 240-280 hours

I expect the girls will definitely be happy campers this Christmas. I probably should have just come right out and said what I liked but I hate to tell sponsors what to send. I don't want to come off as being bossy and besides, I know if I don't care for something, either my kids will or my best friend will.

So, this will really help me more to have something I can give them that they like. Ever since I was forced to take Disability, their Christmas have been nothing like they used to be so every small prize I can hold for them warms my heart.

Now, let's switch gears and talk about Soaps! I have always had this thing for wonderful smelling soap and I love all the new ways that the soap artists have been able to make soap seem exotic and mesmerizing.

These are the two soaps that we were sent but wait until I take the wrapping off and you see will an amazing transformation!
This is the Pear Berry - Cupcake Soap which has these amazing scents added to it:
A fruity fresh fragrance blend of ripened pear, raspberries, strawberries, and gooseberries, with slight musk undertones.
It actually does smell pretty good and I never would have thought that about Pears because I have smelled bottled Foam Pear Soaps and didn't like them at all but my best friend does. She is in love with Pears and so I will keep this for her for her birthday in August.
I do get her something for Mother's Day also since my Mom died, she has kind of taken over and she is older than me but not enough to be my mother but I still look out for her. I know this will please her to no end.  I also like what they have in their soaps so I know it will be good for her skin and she shouldn't have any problems:
All of our soaps are formulated to lather beautifully and are long lasting. They are made naturally by the Cold-Process Method and loaded with skin loving Oils of Olive, Coconut, and Shea Butter.
Here is the one I would have chosen for myself, the Lavender Cup Cake with the beautiful Rose Petals.  In its full glory, standing alone in this one, and dusted with pink rose petals. Don't worry, the rose petals wash away on first use. One of our absolute favorite botanicals at Scarlet Raine. Strong scent. But, it's okay because I have lots of Lavender Soap and this was more about getting something that I could give to the people I love.
Now, here is where art comes into play. This is a Plumeria Rose Cake Soap! And the scents in this one is a lightly scented sweet floral combination of jasmine, lilac, rose, and lily of the valley with light fruity notes of peach, lemon, lime, and tart green apple. Just so you know, I did not get these last two. I didn't want to confuse anyone.
This is the soap that I got that was sitting next to the Pear Cupcake Soap and this one is the Champagne - Creme Silk Soap and here is the description of this one:
Effervescent citrus notes and sweet vanilla combine in this festive fragrance! A sparkling aldehydic accent creates a fizzy effect for the citrus top notes of lime and orange to open this blend. Hints of green floral and rum liquor notes from the fragrant heart. Clear woody tones combine with earthy accents while a base of vanilla bean surrounds the fragrance. So incredibly unique and fun!

Now, this one I just might keep for myself. Or it might actually make a great gift to give to Mike for his birthday coming up on May 12th and mine is May 1st, so maybe we can share this one!
I didn't get this one either but wanted to show you a soap she made for men called Teakwood & Cardamon and it is an exotic, masculine blend of teakwood surrounded by rich spices of cardamom, cinnamon, and clove; sitting on base notes of cedar, amber, sandalwood, and patchouli. Very strong! Probably wouldn't need an aftershave after using this.
Mmm, maybe we can get her to come back for Father's Day and do this one! What do you guys say? I bet this one smells heavenly. I have always loved men's fragrance and nothing smells better than a fresh cleaned up man!
And lastly, I wanted to show you one other item that I think would be awesome to have and that is her Single Scent Shot.  She says to use these several ways and I have some of my own ideas, like bathrooms, but here is what she says:
Scents your home for hours upon hours. Scent shot(s) are placed in a warmer and slowly warmed from a small tea light or electric heating source below. Melt one or melt a few to make your own unique scent!

Scent shots melt at cooler temperatures and allow the fragrance to diffuse more rapidly and evenly, rather than float straight to the ceiling with the heat of a flame. They scent your home with the perfect amount of fragrance.

Perfect for when you are craving scent in areas where open flames are not allowed - like a work desk or dorm room.
I would love the Lavender Flowers and the Fairy Skin and the Paris 1921 in these. I think the rooms would smell so darn awesome, don't you?
Here is the Special they have going on right now!
Enter 15OFF to receive 15% off your order - Now thru Mother's Day! Shipping is always a flat $5 or FREE on $75 orders(This special shipping price does not apply to wholesale orders). We Ship USPS Priority Mail (USPS site says they deliver to most in 2-3 business days)
I think I have shown you a little bit of everything that she has and I hope you take some time and just go over and see what other scents she has that you might like to experience.

Scarlet Raine is going to give the winner of my Mother's Day Giveaway that starts on May 1st and ends on the 18th a $50 GC to pick out what you would like to have. I thought that was pretty awesome! Open to the U.S. only. Good Luck Everyone!
