I was very fortunate recently to get to try some really awesome granola that I had not tried before so this was my first time. The name of the company is Ola Granola.
Here is what they sent me to review:
1.) 9 oz. bag of No Nut Vanilla
2.) 9 oz. bag of Vanilla Almond
3.) 9 oz. bag of Cranberry Orange Pecan
4.) 2 1 oz single bags of No Nut Vanilla
5.) 2 1 oz. single bags of Vanilla Almond
This one was actually my favorite which is hard to believe because I really love nuts, especially almonds and pecans but I was using the granola to mix in with my low fat yogurt trying to cut down on eating the sugar laden cereals that I have been eating in an attempt to lose some of the weight that the tanked thyroid caused along with those darn nerve block shots that contain steroids that they gave me at the pain clinic! I have never been so mad or upset as I was when I realized in the 3 months that I have been at the new pain clinic I had gained 15 pounds!
I have weighed the same weight for years and now poof! New doctor who wants to mess around with my meds and then it screws everything up including my thyroid. I am hoping once that raises (it is very low right now) I will be able to fight back. With the RA and Fibromyalgia added to a low thyroid it has been really hard to get up and do anything. So, I try to do my reviews first and then I crash!
But, back to the granola, so I absolutely love vanilla and loved it in my Greek Yogurt. I chose Greek Yogurt because it's better for you but also because it contains less potassium (remember I have I.C., chronic bladder pain brought on by getting too much potassium). But, also because I think it tastes better and lasts longer. So, the plain No Nut Vanilla Granola was awesome in all of the flavors of Greek Yogurt.
The No Nut Vanilla is made with crunchy clusters of oats infused with pure vanilla and real maple syrup. I didn't know this until I read it here but Maple syrup is a great antioxidant and source of energy! Wow, maybe that will give me a little extra help with my low thyroid and the Fibromyalgia!
The ingredients in the No Nut Vanilla are all natural and here is the proof:
This was my 2nd choice, the Vanilla Almond Granola. I actually just ate this one right out of the bag. I did put some in the yogurt but the nuts didn't go over too well with the yogurt so I learned something new. For some odd reason or maybe it's just me, but nuts do not taste good in yogurt one bit! So, when I would use this one I took the almonds out before pouring into the yogurt. Then it tasted fine and dandy!
Here is what I found out about the Vanilla Almond Granola:
It's a healthful snack of crunchy clusters of oats and almonds infused with pure vanilla, cinnamon and real maple syrup; the perfect satisfying energy food. And this is why I like almonds: Almonds are a great source of protein and fiber. I need all the help I can get with protein and fiber. And the ingredients in this one is:
Whole Grain Oats, Almonds, Whole Wheat Flour, Wheat Bran, Pure Maple Syrup, Pure Vanilla Extract, Cinnamon, Sea Salt.
Lastly, was the Cranberry Orange Pecan Granola which I actually liked also but only out of the bag. It did not taste good at all with my Greek Yogurt. I have learned thru this experience that it's best to stick to just flavored granola with no added extra's when trying to eat for losing weight and the nuts just take something away from the yogurt flavor. It has crunchy clusters of oats, pecans and cranberries infused with orange, cinnamon and real maple syrup.
One of the main reasons I ate this one and will continue to do so either in granola or cranberries in other ways because it is rich in nutrients for cardiovascular health. Who would have thought cranberries would help the heart? Never heard that before. They always talk about the other things to eat but I have not heard this one. Thank Goodness I like the dried ones that are in granolas and other products.
The ingredients in Cranberry Orange Pecan Granola:
Whole Grain Oats, Pecans, Sweetened Dried Cranberries (cranberries, sugar) Pure Maple Syrup, Whole Wheat Flour, Wheat Bran, Orange Juice, Pure Vanilla Extract, Cinnamon, Sea Salt.
All of the Granola's come in several sizes and in different ways. You can get them in a 3 lb. bag, 16 oz. Gift Jar, the 1 oz. single bags and the 9 oz bags.
Now, I did not get these next two items but they will be in the package that the winner will get who wins my Honor the Earth Giveaway so I wanted you to see what they look like so I took images off of Ola's site.

I hope that I found things that all of you can enjoy and use. I try very hard to get you items that will be awesome and taste good. I believe that Ola Granola is one of those such companies.
Here is what I found in the About Us section:
It was a “Family Favorite” even before she had a family of her own. Growing up in a family of eight, Dina Houser enjoyed her mom’s healthy, homemade, great-tasting granola — the same satisfying recipe she recreated as a working mother of three young boys. Carefully fine-tuning her family’s recipe – using whole grains, nuts, and pure maple syrup – Dina’s hand-baked granola quickly became everyone’s favorite ready-to-go breakfast, snack and topping.Connect with Ola Granola several ways:
Running a design business with her husband, Dina would bake special blends to gift, “sharing the love” with their clients and friends. After years of being urged to make her granola available to food lovers everywhere, her son’s second grade teacher asked Dina where he could purchase it. It was then she decided to fulfill her dream of making it for the world to enjoy. Ola! was born.
With the help and support of family, friends, neighbors and the community, Ola! Foods was launched on Earth Day in 2009. Soon, the entire household got involved, from packing boxes to attending local events and farmers markets. Dina’s boys even helped come up with the name Ola! around their kitchen table, eager to say hello to everyone who likes healthy and yummy.
