Sweet Andy's Cookies Sponsor Spotlight Review

We recently had the privilege of trying out Sweet Andy's Cookies for ourselves and I have to tell you that they are definitely awesome and worth every single bite! I have seen plenty of big sized cookies, but these were also the thickest cookies I have ever seen. If you can eat more than 1 at a time, I take my hat off to you because one was about all I could handle at one time.
We were sent these 6 flavors to try:
1.)  Oatmeal Raisin
2.)  Chocolate Chip
3.)  Cinnamon Sugar
4.)  Triple Chip
5.)  Chocolate with Peanut Butter
6.)  White Chocolate Macadamia
I have to confess that I have a weakness for Oatmeal Raisin Cookies, especially if they are made right and these most definitely were. And the best part is that they are not hard cookies but soft baked cookies.  I do not like crunchy cookies! I like soft baked and those brands you buy in the store with a few exceptions are all hard and crumble when you bite into them, not with Sweet Andy's you don't!
There are 5 huge Cookies in each bag and they are packaged very nice and tight. The front side will tell you the name of the cookie but I wanted you to see how thick they are. These are the Oatmeal Raisin Cookies.
They were voted Best Tasting Cookie in the Hamptons back in 2012.

The "Thank You" Cookie

Nothing Says "Thank You" better than a bag of delicious Sweet Andy's Cookies. Since their humble beginnings as a small retail bakery in Westhamptom Beach, NY years ago, Sweet Andy's Cookies continues to bake the best cookies around.

I know you can see the size of these cookies just by peering thru the plastic wrap. You can't hardly hard a cookie that big, well, maybe if you had a big enough handbag. These are my husband's favorite as he is a Chocolate Chip Alcoholic for them! These were really good and so sweetly soft. Did I mention how much I love soft baked cookies versus hard and crunchy? I think I did. Just wanted to remind you!
Getting the picture now of how big and awfully scrumptious they are? I don't know about you, but big and thick cookies at the same time are my downfall no matter how hard I try not to eat one but every 3 days, sometimes I don't make it quite past that.
I have to tell you that the Cinnamon Cookies beat out almost all of the other cookies except Oatmeal & Raisin. These were so good, it's hard to describe what they taste like except to imagine a Sugar Cookie dipped in Cinnamon Sugar several times over. They are really out of this world!
Now, this one was Mike's second favorite, the Chocolate with Peanut Butter. It broke back alot of good memroies  and I am glad he has then. I used to have to grab a chair and stand on it mesmerized by my mother's baking abilities which far exceeded mine. She could make up dishes out of the blue and they would taste awesome.
We loved this cookie also but not as much as our top 2 so it comes in at 3rd place. Which isn't a bad place to be sometimes. You guys are gonna go nuts over all of these cookies and will love them as much as we did.

See how big they are!
This cookie has the Chocolate Chips, Peanut Butter chips and White Chocolate chips in this really impressive cookie and when you order by the boxes, He is able to give you a little more leeway into what supirse will  be hidden in with your cookies? All I know is that they do have several other flavors to choose from than the 6 we got. We will come back in a few with that list.
And lastly but not least, is the White Chocolate Macadamia Nut cookie. We are also very fond of these cookies as well, but the other  cookies were easier for me to find in my vast folder of Cookies/Cakes so it took me awhile to find them. We think these should be in the top 4 of the flavors we tried.
We think you will agree that Sweet Andy's Cookies are most definitely in a class all by themselves. I don't know of many other companies that are willing to make these and then they have to box them up into the 5 per pack count and then placed in the 6 count of cookies.
Here are the other flavors:
**Mint Chip
**Sugar Cookies
**Peanut Butter Chip
I bet the mint ones and the sugar cookies were good! I love mint flavored chocolate and tea so might as well like a mint flavored cookie!
Here is what I found out about how Andy's started:
In 2009, Andrew (Sweet Andy) found himself in a position like so many others at that time in our past; the economy was quickly spiraling downward and he had left his job in the financial services industry. Although Andy had an MBA in Banking and Finance and had even written a book entitled, “A Guide to Taking Control of Your Investments”, he found himself to be disenchanted with the financial industry and left to pursue “other work.”
The “other work” that Andrew pursued was with the Church and did not provide financial support for the family. During this time Andy and his wife, Lissa, struggled to find other forms of income. They did what they could for themselves and their five children but often it was not enough. But there were many family and church friends who did help in many ways. Andrew and Lissa’s Church Friends and Family helped them by fixing things around the house that needed repair (such as a faulty furnace); some people kept getting the family car running when it seemed to have already run its course and others even filled their cupboards with food.

It was a very difficult time for Andrew and Lissa but yet they felt blessed to have such wonderful friends. In Andy’s words, “ I wanted desperately to give back to everyone for all that they were doing for me and my family, but I didn’t really know how to do it seeing that we didn’t have much money.
Andrew was a bit of a cookie monster himself and began making cookies for the kids. One day he felt as though he should start baking cookies as “Thank You’s” for all of those people who had helped them during this time.

Andy worked for many weeks trying to create a unique and perfect chocolate chip cookie that he could be proud of; proud enough of them that he could give back to those who were helping him and his family in so many ways. It was his way of saying, “thank you.”
He and Lissa started handing out platters of cookies to those friends and family who had helped them. Everyone had the same shocked reaction; first, that Andy had actually baked the cookies himself, and second, that they were so delicious and different than any other cookie they had tasted.
Andrew’s friend Brian Kraus owned the Sunset Deli in Westhampton Beach. Brian and Andrew sat down and Brian offered suggestions and advice on how to begin selling these cookies to stores. After Brian’s advice, Sweet Andy’s Cookies were placed in his store for sale. He quickly sold out, asked for more and the start of a new business, Sweet Andy’s Cookies, was born.
