I have a new book to tell everyone about called Stake and Eggs written by Laura Childs.
Here is an excerpt from the back of the book:
Suzanne, Toni, and Petra found a second life after losing their husbands—opening their own successful business, the Cackleberry Club cafè. But the three women never expected sleuthing to be the special of the day.
A KILLER HAS THE TOWN WALKING ON EGG SHELLS
When a snowmobile crashes into the woods behind the Cackleberry Club cafè, Suzanne finds her town’s most-hated banker beheaded by a wire staked in the snow. Now some of her best customers are prime suspects with a bushel of motives, and the murder investigation is snowballing.
An elusive young runaway may be the Cackleberry Club’s only way to crack the case…provided Suzanne can keep her head long enough to track down the cold-blooded killerSuzanne is a widow who owns the Cackleberry Club on Hwy 65 with Toni, her partner who is almost 40 and had a bad marriage to Junior Garrett, who was always trying to invent things to make money. Petra was a big boned Scandanvian woman who wore a size 10 shoe and loved to wear comfortable Crocs. Her husband was in the nursing home with Alzheimer's. She worked as the cook at the Cackleberry Club.
Business was good and then as the town was snowed & iced in, Suzanne thought she heard 2 snowmobiles out back. Turns out she only found one with the new President of Kindrid State Bank dead and beheaded. Someone had stretchd bobwire across the path and as Dr. Sam put it to Suzanne, he probably died within a second of impact.
This made for lots of suspects. Who would want to kill Ben? The Sheriff was questioning everyone. Who would the killer turn out to be? Suzanne, Toni and Petra were determined to find out.
I am stopping there so you have lots of mysteries to go thru and I left out alot of big details so enjoy the book.
Happy Reading!
The author has agreed to let me have 2 books to giveaway in this giveaway. So, there will be 2 winners who will each get a book. Open only in the U.S. Good Luck Everyone!
