Simple Truth Products Review

I recently had the pleasure of finding out first hand a new brand that Kroger is putting in their stores called Simple Truth. It is basically a low key simple packaging that looks generic but I can tell you the food doesn't taste generic. I was a little worried that it might but I was really proven wrong.

Each package says it is Free From 101 artificial preservatives and ingredients, which is the main reason why I was hoping the taste wouldn't be real bad and I sure was glad when I ate some of their products and found out they are really good!

I got these items to review:

**Natural Exotic Vegetable Chips
**Peanut Butter and Chocolate Chip Energy Bar
**Chocolate Almond Milk
**Frozen Mango Chunks
**Blackberry Pomegranate Soda

We really loved the Exotic Vegetable Chips the best and then the Chocolate Almond Milk was Mike's favorite.

The flavor in these chips were amazing. I was so afraid that they wouldn't taste right and I got the biggest surprise when I realized that they were absolutely perfect for those times when you want something different but healthy for you and that it has an awesome flavor. You can eat 16 of these chips and that will be around 150 calories. I bet that regular chips are alot than that! Plus these are 100% natural and have only 35 mg of sodium, 10 grams of fat and 3 grams of sugar. There are 10 flavors to choose from along with the Exotic Natural Vegetable Chips.

Now, Mike is the chocolate milk drinker in the family (well any milk for that matter) so he drank this whole carton to himself except for maybe 3 swallows for me just to be able to tell you how awesome it really does taste.  This has one of the smoothest, nicest taste that I have ever encountered.  Mike wasn't too sure about it being Almond Milk but really, the chocolate is the only flavor that you will taste in this Simple Truth. They out did their selves on this one!

This is the Blackberry Pomegranate Soda and I had to give this one to my friend & neighbor to try for me. Not because there was anything wrong, Mike & I both just don't like those flavors and then add them together, I was afraid we would really not like it and I wanted a positive review and my friend has always loved things like this her whole life, so for her it was a treat and she said if you love fruit based drinks such as what they have similar to this one, she said you would definitely love them.

I am not sure what other flavors are and I wish I had thought to look more but knew my husband was waiting outside for me to grab just a handful of products so he could get home and take a nap. If they all taste that good, then you won't have any problems. The taste is actually really good and refreshing w/o being too overly sugary or sour.

I don't know about you but I love mango's and papaya's and that means I will eat them plain picked off the tree or will wash them when I get back home and peel them to put in my many flavors of yogurt that I eat just about every morning now. I found a new Greek yogurt that is less than any other of having potassium in it.  I also ate a few of them by themselves and noticed all of the many possibilities that can come from this one brand. Don't they look yummy?

They had several varieties o f these also but I love mangoes and decided to stick with my gut on this one and boy, did I pick the right one!  And did you notice that there is hardly any juices on the plate? Well, that is because they are part of Simple Truth and all of their foods have increased. I also thought that they hit their motto of bringing the best to their customers and you are so willing to get out there and try something new. But, you will seriously want to try these frozen fruits in the other flavors because I bet that they are all awesome!

Oh, and then I got to try one of their protein bars Energy Bars in Peanut Butter covered with chocolate! It was actually quite good. Almost like a Reese's Cup but still not the same. It has a very crunchy inside and the fine print on the package was so small I could not read it so gave up trying.

I did however manage to see that each bar has around 7 grams of Protein, so you will last a good round of exercise or just want an after dinner snack that is good for you. There are 6 flavors altogether so you should be able to find one that you like the best.

As you can see, they have an abundance of Simple Truth Products to choose from and now, it's quite the opposite that it was several years ago. You could hardly find any organic foods and now they are everywhere! So you shouldn't have too much trouble once you are in a Kroger and see all the goodies everywhere.

You can buy the soda's in 4 pack bottles if you want more than one. I know this on in the front is a lime/lemon drink but can't make out the other three. They have alot to offer so go check them out when you can.

This is their Natural Brand of products and here is why:

Simple Truth brand offers several natural products such as meat, chicken and eggs.

Sounds good. I am trying to eat healthier. I like soda and I don't think I'd mind the blackberry/pomegranite as I like fruity drinks. I also am a sucker for chips so these sound like a healthier alternative to the potato chips I find myself eating as a snack. Looking forward to trying Simply Truth Organic products. Thanks

I don't know if we have Kroger's around here or not, but I sure would like to try the chips and energy bar. I shop Walmart a lot, but I don't know if they have these kinds of foods. I like the all natural, low calories and sugars.

Great review. I love their sodas. I would get some if I hadn't cut soda out of my diet! They have 38 g of sugar in them. Yowza. They just taste so good.

Great review Mary. I'd love to try that Chocolate Almond Milk as well as the frozen Mangoes. But I haven't seen a Krogers around here.
