I have another great book from Tricia Goyer named Love Finds You. Here is an excerpt from the book:
Singer Ginny Marshall is one signature away from the recording contract of her dreams—a deal that would guarantee success for the former foster child, who still struggles to bury the memories of her painful childhood. My Thoughts:
But Ginny needs advice from the one person who will look out for her best interests—her former fiancé, Brett Miller. She travels to the remote town of Glacier Bay, Alaska, where the town’s colorful characters and stunning scenery provide respite from LA’s pressures.
In Glacier Bay, Ginny discovers a box of old letters and is swept up in the love story between Clay, an early missionary to Alaska Territory, and Ellie, the woman who traveled there to be his children’s governess. When Ginny is reunited with Brett in Glacier Bay, will she discover—
This is an awesome book to read because it gives you hope that sometimes it just isn't the right time to settle down and that is what happened to Ginny, I think. I don't think she was really happy down in L.A. (I don't see how anybody lives there). I went once and found it ugly except for Burbank.
She is given a chance that she has waited for all her life, the chance to hit it big but her nagging voice kept telling her to wait and talk it over with someone who would not be out to rip her off. So, she decided to go back to Alaska and ask her old boyfriend, Brett for some help.
She missed him when she landed because he had gone camping and had decided to stay longer. Ginny didn't know that so when she arrived, she ended up staying with Brett's grandmother while she waited for him to come back.
She finds out that he teaches Sunday School at the flight attendent's church and that everyone likes him because he is known for his kindness, love and his Christian faith in God.
What will happen when Brett comes home from the camping trip? Read the book and find out! Plus find out more juicy parts that I left out to make it more interesting for you.
