Do You Only Have Boys At Home?

If your family has some little boys in your midst, you might be interested in reading an article that Barbara from Find a Babysitter did on the 10 Toys Only Marketed to Boys post that she wrote.

I was gonna help her out and bring the whole article over but then thought about Google and their relentles pursuit of us having the same exact wording as other bloggers and decided not to chance it but wanted to help her out, so I did it this way.

If you have boys in your family, like I have a grandson, then you might want to read this article. Could be some good points to what they might like or dislike the most.

Hey, I never said I was a mindreader. If they don't tell me what they want or what is out there, I sure don't have a clue! Do you??

This was an interesting article. It's true that the corporate-media basically starts to mold and shape children into the 'norm' gender roles from the very start, and the majority of it comes from toys (taking aside the blue/pink color placements straight from birth)! I think it's important to recognize that this occurs and how commonplace and rampant it is, but like the article mentioned, it is also important to know that the child is also influenced by his family culture and other environmental factors.
