Scented Review

I have a wonderful company to tell you about today called Scented Company. And it really is just that! I got 4 products to try and here is the list:

1.) Fresh Squeezed Citrus Bath Salts (pictured above)
2.) Peppermint Cafe Body Polish
3.) Coconut Lime Verbena Lotion
4.) Coconut Lip Balm (Kiss My Lips)

I really loved the Fresh Squeezed Citrus Bath Salts and I normally will burn with salts so I wasn't sure if I got mine in sugar or salt. The smell was so aromatic that it took away the scent of sugar or salt so I am not sure but whatever it was, my skin loved it.

Since I got the smaller jars, not like the one at the top, that is why I am not sure if it was salt or sugar. The oils from the jars had leaked and messed the labels up a bit so that didn't help me either. And this is not a scent I would have chose for myself but after a few minutes of rubbing in and letting it sit a few and then rinsing off my hands, I actually liked it.

So, I have experimented more than I have in awhile! That is also why I came over and grabbed her pictures instead of using mine because you wouldn't have been able to read them either, they are pretty shiny with the oils, but that's okay, I just keep picking them up and I will take my hands and go around them a couple of times and I have the scent and the moisture from the oil, so I am good.

The directions say to put 3 of those spoonfuls in the tub and I guess that comes with the regular size which is 13.5 oz but with the 2 oz size, that would have only been one bath plus I am a shower girl anyway, so I used it for what I call hand polishing or even sometimes I will take a few drops and use it on the bottoms of my feet. It makes and excellent exfoliant for that after you have soaked them for a few minutes! Now you don't need the pedicure because I found the perfect products to use for that.
Ah, this picture came out much better in her size which is the 8oz. versus the 2 oz. size in the Coconut Lime Verbena Body Creme that I got in 2 of the products so now that I have this bigger size, it is much easier to read. And this is the correct scent I was sent.

I never would have ordered this scent for myself but my best friend loves other brands that make it but oddly enough, I actually got to liking it. I think it was because some people put too much coconut and too much lime in it or something but this one was light and creamy and smelled natural and fresh.

So, it's a good thing it wasn't left up to me which scents because I would have passed this one up, and that would have been a shame to miss. I would have loved to know what New York smelled like though. That is an interesting name indeed!
Okay, now we are down to the Peppermint Cafe Body Polish and I used their picture instead of my 2 oz one so that you can see the granules better and the colors. Okay, I do know now that this one is indeed a sugar scrub because the description said it was. I am very surprised that the first one didn't burn me then because it must have been the bath salts after all. And once again, this is not a scent I would have picked but because she has this knack for mixing the scents just right, I liked it!

I did copy this one little bit so that you know what's in the scrubs:

Our exfoliating sugar scrubs contain ultra-nourishing jojoba, coconut and sweet almond oils to hydrate your skin while scrubbing spheres slough away flakes and dead cells. In 3 decedent aromas, our Sugar Scrubs leave your skin smooth, glowing, lightly perfumed and perfectly moisturized.

We offer handcrafted, spa-quality and cruelty-free products free of harmful chemicals. Our Sugar Scrubs contain absolutely no parabens, animal products. They are free of any harsh ingredients that damage or irritate your skin.

Well, that is nice to know about the chemicals and the animal products because I have been trying harder the past 2 years to go more natural and green. I am beginning to think maybe we really do take in too much chemicals and other by products that aren't good for us.

Oh, on these scrubs, please be sure if you are using in a tub or shower, that they will make the surface slippery, so put something down that will keep you from falling. Last thing I need with both knee's replaced is to fall! That would surely suck!

Okay, the last product is the Kiss My Lips Balm and she sent me the one in Coconut. This is what they have in their lip balm: With shea and cocoa butters and oils of jojoba, coconut and sweet almond, Kiss My Lips is packed with lip-smoothing nutrients and it's a .15 oz net weight size.

I will tell you that later on, maybe next week, I have a whole makeup bag full of lip balms and I will be putting this one in there also and will run a giveaway. I have several flavors from different companies and I think you will like the assortment. I wanted to do that since some of the companies opted to do just reviews, I wanted at least one winner to have a little bit of something from each of them so be on the lookout for that next week.

This is what I found in About Us:
When I thought about what really makes me feel good, everything fell into place. You see, what I’m really passionate about is creating a home that is warm, comfortable, inviting and an absolute joy to be in. What I’ve learned is this: using scent is one of the most powerful ways to do just that.
I started out by making candles, but hit a few stumbling blocks when I realized how complicated the candle-making process actually is. When I thought more about it, I realized that I hadn’t found my groove yet. Candles actually pose a few dangerous problems that I didn’t feel comfortable with: there’s the open flame, for one. Plus, candles just don’t always throw scent off as much as I would like.
It wasn’t long after that a friend introduced me to scented wax tarts. I was so excited! They are such a great alternative to candles. The scent is much more concentrated and you don’t have an open flame sitting around for children and pets to hurt themselves. The only downside is that even though the fragrance burns off, the wax doesn’t! Who wants to have a puddle of hot wax to clean up – not me, that’s for sure?
I was still searching for the perfect solution to fragrance my home without any fuss. My journey ended when I started developing home fragrance oils – they truly are the perfect solution for anyone who wants to make their home smell absolutely divine. They are safe, convenient, and incredibly effective! They don’t leave a mess like candles or wax tarts, plus they are totally safe. You can even mix and match oils to create a custom scent for your space.
My love affair with scent didn’t end with home fragrance oils! Another way I love to surround myself with wonderful smells is in the bathtub – I love bath and body goodies that smell great. A bubble bath is my favorite way to “get away from it all” but I found that bubble bath often dried out my skin. As I thought more about it, I realized that a lot of the products I used every day smelled amazing but didn’t exactly do my skin any favors. I realized that the next step in my Scented journey was to formulate healthy, pure products that don’t skimp in the fragrance department!
That’s how we got to where we are today. At Scented we offer bath and body products that are derived from nature, toxin-free and still totally decedent. We don’t use any of the harsh or harmful ingredients found in so many mainstream products today.
Our aim is clear: to surround you with beautiful smells, all day long – whether you’re curled up on the couch with a book, escaping for 10 minutes of bliss in the tub, or entertaining friends. Is your life Scented?

I love the idea of bath products that aren't overly fake scented! These sound wonderful, fresh and natural rather than perfume-y.

This is probably the best, most comprehensive review I have ever read. Not only do you make me want to stop by her shop, but I can totally "see" the products by your description. Thank you!

I really like scented oils and products like this. They are very relaxing to use. The Coconut Lime Verbena Body Creme would be fantastic after a bath or shower.

It sounds like alot of these scrubs and other products are great smelling. I wonder about the "New York" one.
