Saturday, December 15, 2012 Dog Products Review & Giveaway **Closed**

Isn't he just adorable?  That is our Yorkie, Charlie sitting on his new bed that sent us to review.  Of course, Charlie being typical Charlie, will not sleep on the bed! He has to be crunched up next to either me or Mike.  He sleeps with Mike during the night while I am working on my blog while they sleep and it's quiet so I can hear myself think.
I usually go to bed anywhere between 3 am to 7 am.  Because I don't want to wake Mike up since he gets up so early to get to work, if it is really late then I just lay down on the couch til he gets up. Then Charlie will come and sleep with me as long as I do. He will not leave the couch or bed not once. I have been known to stay up until 10 or even 11 am then fall dead on my face and the next thing I know, it's 5 pm and Mike is home. Charlie is still curled up right next to me.
But, as you can see, he is a card and thinks that this Sherpa dog bed is actually a toy!
Charlie and Mike get down on the floor several times a day and will roll around and play tug of war with Charlie's stuffed animals so that is what he is doing now! He is trying to take the bed away from Mike! What a nut! It's a very pretty bed done in denim navy if you can't tell and it is a solid denim color on one side and then this side has the white stripes and a picture of a dog on it.
The other items we got to review are:
1.)  Roopers
2.)  Grunts (Beaver)
3.)  Tuff Plush Cutters
4.)  Studio 1 cup Scoop
Now, this is the first time I have bought a Roopers and really had no idea what the heck they were but when I got this one, I recognized it a little bit but not by the name, by other brands that do something similar but they are not the "real" Roopers.  According to, these are collector's items that adults collect! I am like, why?

I can understand a dog wanting one to chew on or be pals with but I was totally taken by surprise by adults wanting them as collectibles.  It reminds me of the movies and/or shows where the Navy is portrayed and of course, you see the trusty old ropes with all the bells and whistles attached!  I know the stores have tons of these by all kinds of names or brands but I knew it was something that would be hard for a dog to destroy.

I will be keeping my fingers crossed that Charlie will play with this once he knows it is his! He is like a kid who knows he has lots of presents under the tree because he will go and whine in front of the tree! It is Mike's fault because he teases him relentlessly! He will keep asking Charlie where is his presents and Charlie immediately runs to the tree and will sit there whining I should ring Mike's neck for turning him into a baby.

He keeps wanting to blame me for Charlie being spoiled, but he quickly forgets who gives in to the whining. It sure as heck isn't me! But after a few minutes, Mike does, whether he wants outside to pee or just to go.
He also got this really cute beaver that is called a Grunt. I thought it might keep Charlie from pulling all the stuffing out of the toys. There are 5 other kinds of Grunts beside the Beaver, so go check it out and see which one you think your pet would love to have. Charlie has never had a Beaver before and we decided to take him out to the public lake (no beavers but good water practice) Here is what the beaver looks like:
He is actually a pretty cute little thing himself!
This is the Tuff Plush section and then it is subdivided into what they call the Cookie Cutter Woof Toy! What a mouthful that was! Tuff Plush is the softer side of tuff! These long-lasting plush toys are made to be three times as strong as regular plush, but still give your dog the soft, squeezable, bite-able feel that your dog loves!
Features a canvas under-layer and nylon reinforced seams to strengthen a normally weak spot in plush toys. Each character also contains a fun squeaker to make play time more fun. Available in a variety of characters, styles and sizes perfect for any tuff chewer. Which is something that we need because Charlie can really go thru some plush toys like nobody's business!
I have had to make an emergency room and where Mama has to do surgery so Charlie will wait patiently until the surgery is over and even then he treats that stuffed plush like it was really injured. By the next day, it is play time as usual!
Lastly, is the Studio Scoop that measures one cup if you need to dish out dog food by watching how much you are leaving when you leave for the day to go to work or are watching your pet's weight. Charlie and I don't work so I don't use this very often but if you knew me you would know that I save things for just in case I do ever need them! Seriously, though, if you had to, this could be a water bowl if you needed it to be.
All of the above products were awesome and I think Charlie is going to have a lot of fun come Christmas Day. The only item we let him know about because of the review of course, was the Sherpa bed, but the rest will be given to him on Christmas. I can't wait because he makes the day worth every penny! He is running around like a chicken with it's head cut off and going from package to package trying his best with his paws to open them and then he looks at us for help.
Once we get it unwrapped we let him reach into the box and get whatever is in there out. He gets so excited he will run from each person and back again with the toy that came out of the box to show it to you. I believe that he really does understand he is getting presents and it's a special day!
