John Paul Pet Products Review & Giveaway **Closed**

I was very fortunate recently to get several products from John Paul Pet Products to try on Charlie, our Yorkie, who is 4 1/2 years old! He is a handful, I can tell you that! He loves to play and if Mommy and Daddy won't play with him, pouts and goes to the front door and whines! I told him one day, "Are you a baby girl or what?"
He sorta turned his head sideways, like, what are you talking about? I told him, you keep whining like that I am gonna have to give you a girl's name! He ran out of the hallway lickety spit and went sailing onto the couch where Daddy was sitting and cuddled up to him and then just gave me the "evil eye".  Boy, I tell you what, he can sure give you some strange looks!
This is his new haircut that we got him right before we went on vacation back in August and we have decided to keep him that short for awhile because it seems like he doesn't scratch or gnaw on his feet as much anymore. I think his hair was bothering him. But, still, you know, they are dogs and you gotta have backup for the times when a bath is not possible and we keep these Pet Wipes from John Paul in the glove compartment all the time now. Oh, by the way, we were on a boat in the middle of the ocean when this was taken. That's why he is clinging for dear life!
We got the Full Body & Paw Bath Wipes and they really do have a very nice clean pleasant smell. Even Charlie doesn't mind! And I love that they are enriched with lanolin to replenish your dog’s coat. They are ideal for dealing with sensitive skin, and they are pre-moistened which allows them to be soft and gentle while cleaning delicate areas such as between the toes and around the tail. And I can tell you Charlie is very sensitive about his butt area! That little nubby tail will go down in a heartbeat to try and protect that little butt!
John Paul Pet provides pet care with a salon pedigree. John Paul Pet products are solution-based products for your dog created to address the most common grooming needs:

  • Odor
  • Shedding
  • Unpleasant breath
  • Tear stains
  • Dirt and dander
  • Build-up around eyes and ears
  • Dry, itchy, flaky skin and coats

We were very fortunate to get all three products to try on Charlie and I have to admit, I really love the Full Body Wipes! They are truly the first wipes that have actually helped with the doggie odor and not just hide it for a few minutes and then come back full force! It really helped me so that Charlie did not have to keep having so many baths like he used to. So, that is a big plus for me!
Here he is a happy camper after one of the Full Body Wipes and what we called his "Wiped Down Bath" along with spraying him with some of the Tea Tree Conditioning Spray to help me comb out some small mats I saw up under his little belly. It also help to soothe, cool and condition sensitive skin and hot spots with Australian Tea Tree oil.
That is where he gets them the most because he is constantly scratching there but not anymore since we got another buzz after we got back from vacation and about 4 weeks later he had another haircut when I noticed he was biting and gnawing again. Vet thinks that he is picking something up while outside and it's getting into his hair so by keeping it short, we have eliminated that problem.
Lastly, I have the Tea Tree Shampoo for when it's time for the "big bath" and boy does he hate those! As soon as he hears Mike running that bath water he comes flying around to find me wherever I am and will claw at my legs begging me to pick him up and hide him, I guess. Looks by now, though, he would catch on that we are all in this together but for some odd reason, he still runs and jumps in my lap when Daddy is running that water and he will burrow his head into my lap.
I think it's the part about this face getting wet that he doesn't like nor does he like the hair dryer so now we just halfway dry him and let him dry the rest of the way on his own. I am still out on that one. I think keeping him wet longer makes him smell but Mike says he thinks it's the hair dryer that scares him.  But, since we started using the Tea Tree Shampoo, he has calmed down quite alot about the constant scratching and biting unless his hair gets too long but other than that, I think we are doing pretty good.
John Paul Pet Products have several other shampoos you can get besides the Tea Tree. I got it because of Charlie being so sensitive to things and because he is not so hot anymore which might help also. You can also get 2 other types of Pet Wipes also. We chose the Full Body & Paws because Charlie will find the dirtest place to burrow in so we had to have something for in between the baths.
Same thing with the Conditioning Spray. They have several types of those also such as for Detangling, which we used to need but now that his hair is shorter, it nots so bad. They also have a really nice Shine Conditioner if your dog needs his coat to be shiner along with the good old standby, Oatmeal Conditioner. But we have found that maybe Charlie is allergic to the oatmeal because every time we try to use it, he seems to get worse, so we got rid of all the Oatmeal products and he has bounced back.
So, see even the things that shouldn't bother them will do just that. Just be attentive when your pet is scratching alot or gnawing on his feet. That is the only way he has of telliing you that he hurts or is in torment.  We don't understand what it was about the Oatmeal but as soon as we stopped using it, he stopped all that incessant scratching!
You will love all of John Paul Mitchell's Pet Products and you can tell he put alot of love and effort into making sure our beloved pets as comfortable as he could.
