Walter Drake Pre-Lit Christmas Tree Sponsor Spotlight Review

This tree may not look all that big to you but when the box came, it was pretty darn big! I had a hard time getting it all out but I am sure that was because of the RA and Fibromyalgia. You guys wouldn't have had as much trouble, but it still is bigger in real life than what it looks like in a picture.

It is actually 32 inches tall. When I finally got all the leaves straight and got it turned on, it was actually alot prettier than I had even thought! This is a Fiber Optic Pre Lit Tree that even comes with it's own bulb's!
I like that they put a star on top of the tree and it also lights up and twinkles. Usually most cheap places or clearance items will just have the little pathetic plastic piece sitting on top of that small tree, but not this one.

The colors are awesome and at first I was going to give it away, but decided I was keeping it. Who knows at the rate I am going, I might need it and have to forget the big tree all together because it's heavy coming out of that basement and then dragging out all the lights and bulbs, etc.

The tree came from a company named Walter Drake and they are one of those catalogs you sometimes get in the mail or might even get a newsletter if you ever signed up for one. They really have some pretty cool stuff that I wouldn't mind having.

Absolutely beautiful in my book! I have always had a soft spot for anything Fiber Optic! You come to my home at the holidays and there will be all kinds of stuff on the lawn and on the porch. The last 2 years it has gotten smaller but the porch is still pretty.  Mike puts red lights around the poles on the front porch and then around a few trees in the front.

Then he puts lights on the shrubs that go all the way around our L shaped home.  I used to love riding around and seeing how other people decorated their homes but the last 2 years we haven't done that anymore.

I was very surprised that they even had a nice selection of Christmas cards and I found several that I wish I could have shown you but for some odd reason, it wouldn't let me copy the pictures on several of them, so maybe they don't want the designs to get out or something.
Of course, they have non holiday items also that you use in your every day life and I again was surprised at how well thought out all the products seemed to be. I will have to keep an eye on them in the future, so that when stuff goes on sale, maybe I can grab a few things here and there.
Now, here is an item that I bet any man would want, heck, I even think it's a great idea! It sure would help out some when I am typing away and could have something closer to me that I could just reach down and grab the calculator or phone without having to get up and look for them. Huh, even the remote control could fit in those pockets and never ever to be lost again! We lose that thing more times than I can count! What about you? For your info, it actually has 6 pockets. Just think of the things you could keep track of!
Here's a little bit of info on Walter Drake:
Walter Drake, a pioneer in direct mail, began operations in 1947 in Colorado Springs with a single novel idea. In his one-room office, he created a character named “Tommy Turtle” and parents all over the country signed up for their children to receive personalized, upbeat pen pal letters and gifts from Tommy.
In the beginning, he advertised in House Beautiful and Harper’s Bazaar magazines. After achieving success in this endeavor, Mr. Drake gradually added more and more products including stationery and address labels for writing letters to family and friends which became very popular during the 1950’s and 60’s as America became a more mobile society.
Today, the business Walter Drake started more than a half century ago, is a leading direct marketer of kitchenware, household products, organizers, personal health care items, gardening and outdoor décor, personalized gifts, calendars and stationery. The extensive line of products offered provide unique problem solvers and specialized items for all ages to enjoy.
