Texas Treats Taste Of Home Gift Basket Review & Giveaway **Closed**

I recently had the honor of receiving a basket from a company called Texas Treats and they sent me their Taste of Home Basket in size Large to sample and I must tell you that there are some items on there that we will be buying because they were totally awesome.  First, here is a list of what was in my basket:

**Two (2) bags of El Paco Authentic Texas Tortilla Chips ( 2.5 oz.)
**Salsa Ranchera (8 oz.)
**Texas-Style Spicy Beer Fries (2 oz.) - tastes like spicy potato chips that look like french fries! **Alamo Cookies (2 oz.)
**Texas Chocolate Candy Bar (2 oz.)
**Padre's Toffee Popcorn (2 oz.)
**Boot-Stompin' Peanuts (3 oz.)
**Four (4) Beer Coasters in a cellophane bag
**topped with Texas State tissue paper and your gift card

The items we really liked the best were the Padre's Toffee Popcorn and I just noticed that they must have subbed out some items because I don't recognize some of those. So, they must have a little leeway as to what to put in the Large basket.

Instead of the chocolate candy bar we got 2 chewy pralines (which is one of the items I think we are gonna order) and we got some Dr. Pepper Beef Jerky instead of the Spicy Beer Fries. We also got some Cinnamon Jelly Beans and a few mints instead of the beer coasters.  Sounds like I mighta tore up the whole idea of a Large Taste of Home! Sorry about that guys!

I just thought they would be sending some individual items here and there but it actually came as a package so that was awfully sweet and they moved some things around because of my stomach issues, so I doubly Thank You for that.  Everything was awesome but we really loved the popcorn and pralines! Mike ate the salsa like his life depended on it! He is a chips and salsa kind of guy so I am glad that he got to enjoy some favorites and so did I! Even Charlie got into the act and had some of the Dr. Pepper Beef Jerky!

They have so many other awesome baskets to choose from and you can also Make Your Own, which in some ways, I think we ended up going there more than the Taste of Home. But you will find something for everyone there and I saw some other baskets with items that I would love to try so there really is an endless supply of goodies that you can get from Texas Treats. Just look at this awesome Thanksgiving Basket!

Then they have another one for Christmas that looks out of this world also!

Anyone would be awfully proud to get either of these baskets filled with some of Texas's goodies! They even have Texas themed baskets or College themed baskets and the list can go on and on from there.  If you are really into Chips and Salsa like Mike is, then one of the baskets that focus on that can be arranged. Just choose to do the Make Your Own and get all of your faves in the basket so that you know every bite will be totally gone in the end.

Sometimes, don't you get baskets that there is always one or two items that end up getting thrown out or given away? Well, with the Make Your Own, that problem is gone! Or you can sneek around and try to dig out the info from a co-worker if it isn't for you to make sure they have a great experience. They even have all kinds of mugs and coffee cups to choose from in the gifts and sovenirs! And you can send a warm Welcome to the World from Texas Baby Basket!

So, as you can see, it's not just the holidays that baskets can be for. It's really any event that celebrates you and your loved ones, co-workers, friends or even sometimes, someone you don't know but want them to know they are not alone.  Whatever it is you need, Texas Treats will more than likely be able to fill that spot.

They even have a long list of dip mixes that you might want to look at for something different this holiday season that maybe no one else in your circle can make. Suprise them with a dip that is normally found just in Texas. They don't have to know that it isn't homemade sorta.  I call anything that I put together homemade myself so you call it whatever you like! They even have a Tortilla Soup mix! One of our all Time Faves!

Guess what? I just went to grab some info for you like I normally do and this company is owned and run by a woman! Yeah for her and for us! We can show these fella's a thing or two about running a business, can't we?
