I hope that this picture does this beautiful Black Akoya Bracelet justice. I took lots of them and will show you some other angles in a few minutes. I was privileged to be chosen by Pearl Distributors to show you this awesome bracelet and it is really all that and more. I will wear this often and with great pride because it is only one of two real pearl bracelets that I own so I treasure both of them.
I don't know if you know much about Pearl Distributors but they are a large company that deals in all kinds of pearls beside the one that you see above. They have Freshwater Pearls, Freshwater Orient, Hanadama Pearls, South Sea Pearls, Black Tahitian Pearls and of course the Akoya Pearls. I actually never really knew that there were so many different kinds of pearls, did you?
There, that is somewhat better, isn't it? You can almost see the fine work done on the silver clasp that holds the bracelet together when you have it on your arm. I know everyone always thinks and says that they want white pearls and I leaned heavily that way but something about these just grabbe ahold of me and couldn't let go. Pearl Distributors sent this bracelet in a beautiful leather bound case with velvet on the inside which was black or I would have taken a picture of that for you also. But black on black did not show up very well, so I let that one go. The thing about this beautiful clasp is that once it is on, it hardly budges! It may seem dainty but it packs a wallop of a punch as it holds together and won't let the bracelet fall off.
The colors that they have available are of course, white, black, peach/pink, lavender, and multicolored. Then you have your choice of all the different sizes of the pearl to think about. This one is a 6.0-6.5mm black Akoya Pearl that is AA+ quality saltwater cultured pearl and are hand selected for Size, Shape, Body and Luster. They even double string fine silk by hand and even knot between each pearl. Alot of love goes into these pearls that are made by hand.
This is what is on my Appraisal that they send out with each piece of pearl jewelry so that you know what you are getting and what it is worth. I never dreamed in a million years that I would have such a beautiful bracelet that is both awesome and have such a high value also, especially this late in life with things so tough economy wise. We have had to really pull in the purse strings and don't do much anymore other than maybe a night once every 2 or 3 months we go out to eat somewhere nice like Red Lobster. So, to get such a lovely bracelet was an absolute joy to recieve! You can go to this page and they will teach you how to shop and compare pearls.
I even found out something quite interesting: they actually make jewelry for men out of pearls! Now, who would have thought that? They are cuff links and the other one is a neckpiece, which I am not sure what that is but I guess there are some men walking around with one or they wouldn't be selling them!
Lastly, I am going to show you what my last wish would be for someday when hubby pays off our car which isn't too far off from my birthday, I am hoping to get this pair of black pearl earrings and then I think I am set as far as fine jewelry. What do you think?
Here is a small history lesson on how it all began:
Pearl Jewelry store owners,
Pearl Distributors, started as a small family business that has developed into an international success story. Warren Garten founder and President in 2004 gave up a 6 figure job as a real estate manager and started Living The Dream by working full time with his 23 year old TWIN SONS Adam and Robert. A dream come true for him. Andrew and Miriam Reed and their son, Nathan now work along with them.
They are both very family-oriented and enjoy the opportunity to work together as families in the pearl jewelry business.
