Here is an excerpt from the book:
On a stormy November evening, Jack Barrett had plans to treat his best friend Travis to a night of fine dining and jazz. As they neared their destination, a truck ran a red light, plowing through Jack's car, and changing his life forever.
Jack found a new outlook on life, and took on adventures that made him one of the world's most admired people. With each step, Jack grew as a person and a leader; piecing together a family from different corners of the world, while risking himself and his family to save others.
Jack's impact on the world was like no other, but in the end, when the lights and the cameras were gone, Jack was about to die, or was he?
Prepare yourself for a surprising ending that questions the very nature between life and death, reality and dream.Wow, Jack's life did a real 180 on him after the accident. I had a sense that his friend Travis might have died in the accident by the way it stated that that moment has changed Jack's life forever. In that moment, Jack went on to school, met the love of his life in Italy after he recovered and was well enough to travel. Her name was Maggy and she was visiting her parents in Italy but lived in Berkley, not 30 minutes from where Jack lived.
He went on to marry Maggy, was the President of the U.S., World Chancellor, won 2 Noble Peace prizes, went to Mexico where he had witnessed a gang murder of a young woman and then found out she had left behind a young daughter, so they did the only thing that they thought they should and that was adopt the little girl as their own.
Sounds like a fairy tale dream, doesn't it? Or is it reality?
One thing I can tell you is that Maggy actually did exist and how did Jack know about her?
This book will blow your mind in the end in ways I had to double take a look back at the beginning of the book and then back to the ending.
Did all of that really happen? They say your whole life flashes in front of you when time stands still and you think of your life and what is has been like up to that moment. That one moment in time that can change your life and others around you.
That is really all I am going to say about this book because it is simply put, a shocker, one that you need to experience all on your own without my telling you anything real concrete. It is up to you to figure out what this book means for you.
